I always fantasised about games being able to narratively adapt and evolve, completely unrestricted, according to player input, but I wasn't sure I'd ever see the day, let alone this early. Last time my mind was blown like this was over a decade ago when NPCs in New Vegas would make remarks about your exploits and you could use speech checks to bypass quests
Part of it is just good speech-to-text, another part is responsive or good sound design, and the other part is just that their AI models are pretty good at not deteriorating upon iterations. The fact that you have an AI that won't deteriorate means that you don't have to reset it over and over, which means it keeps a longer memory of the player's interactions.
AI be like: Oh, I'm deeply sorry for not being able to help you with your problem, as I'm unable to do that. I hope you find someone that has those precise tastes of food you are offering currently, I'm afraid that until then you might not be able to resolve your problems but I'm sure you might meet someone like that in this remote neighborghood.
