This video of the First Alert's One Link Voice Sounding Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm two pack will show you what is in the package and give you a brief description of the product. This smoke detector has a photoelectric sensor built right in to help reduce false alarms. One Link technology allows you to place multiple One Link smoke alarms throughout your home and they will all wirelessly communicate with each other. If one smoke alarm goes off, they all will go off and sound the location of the emergency. Our quick explanation of this First Alert smoke detector SCO501B2 is provided by wwwFirstAlertStore.com where this product and many other First Alert Home Safety Products are offered. I like how it tells you to evacuate, instead of rescuing the child.
Thanks for the video. I had trouble reading the manual and could not program the location of the alarm. Now I could do it from your video!
My First Alert is precise the same time of the one shown in this video, but it has no voice. So my question is when I put the batteries inside and test the device is it ready to use or do I need to do something else? Does it have a light to shown that it is working?
Say you have three of these in your home (basement, main floor, and top floor bedroom).... if the one in the basement goes off and it triggers the other two, can you silence all 3 alarms at the same time by just silencing one of them (ie, by just pressing the main floor or bedroom ones)... or do you need to press the silence button on the alarm that originally detected the smoke/CO (ie, the basement)?
I like how it announced the parts per million. That means that it actually tests the sensors as well.
Hi, do you have a video explaining how to interconnect these detectors??
hii,
is this model interconnected type ? is there any model uses wire type ? what is the longest distant between the 2 dectectors in order for them to receive signal via signal cable ?
i wanted to recommend a friend who have a small private farm .. to link the dectector to house and barn and outdoor shed..
he does not like wireless technology that's why i asked if got wire type..
thanks
andrew
How far away from each other will they work?
Actually is 100 decibels loud not 85 decibals
These alarms have been renamed the first alert wireless interconnect alarms. First alert one link alarms are now a completely different series of alarms that are Wi-Fi enabled and connect to Apple‘s HomeKit series, and they include one that actually has the Amazon Alexa voice assistant built-in.
❤
Can you interconnect wireless and wired smoke/CO detectors? Replacing the alarms in the house that are wired but want to add some in other rooms where there is no wire for them. Thanks
@111danish111 Double check the battery tray again. You will need to open the battery tray to replace the batteries.
I recently installed a first alert sa303a in my room and ima need to take it off its base only in 10 years cause of the convenient battery holder on the side
(First alert is my first choice)
@Lightningflash243 This particular unit can only be silenced by using the test button/silence button on the alarm.
hi
PLEASE SEE MANUEL
I purchased 2 of the alarms, had to return them, the VOICE is terbbile, we can not understand the voices, they should be recalled! geneo
How do you installed on your alarm system ?,can you put a notification on your phone too?
For having notifications on your phone choose the first alert onelink safe and sound
He says unlimited smoke/co detectors can be installed which is a false statement. The instruction manual states that a maximum of 18 BRK/First Alert products can be networked together and 12 of those 18 can be smoke/co detectors and the remaining 6 can be optional accessories through the in house single circuit wiring. In order to add more than 12/18 components you would need another dedicated single circuit which is only feasible when you’re building a new home or gutting an existing and installing all new copper throughout the home. I doubt you would ever need to exceed these limitations either way.
hello my SC07 alarm is chirping since 10 days ..... its annoying im trying to remove the battery but just could not remove the battery tray . it seems to be stuck . how do i remove the battery tray ???? i am not able to sleep please help
Remove the battery drawer pin
are the smoke and CO onelink alarms compatible with the smoke onelink? (both voice)
Yes, all First Alert ONELINK Alarms interconnect with other ONELINK First Alert Alarms.
Is first alert part of the company as Spector alert it true alert?
First Alert Store, thats good to know
My neeses have the same detector but when i was there it went off for no reason that my neeses dad had to get rid of the alarm because it was annoying but not the garage and my neeses room
Im a little obsessed with PLEASE SEE MANUAL
You did not explain anything about interconnecting the smoke units, the title is very misleading!
If you want to know how to interconnect them go to my channel I have a video on there explaining it exactly
Also comerical alarms half to be replaced every 10 years ?
Videos
Comerical alarms how often ?
@@matthewgregory8218 10 years.
Alarms that "also" feature CO detection must factor in the lifespan of CO detection sensor , most modern alarms contain lifespan monitoring , alarms that also feature CO detection will have a lifespan as long as the lifespan of the CO detection hardware which is believe is five years of operation ..
I am going to feedback on my own response , in reading the manual I see seven years device lifespan before required replacement so I may be wrong ..
The voice sounds like Bop-It 😆
Wow, now I have that stuck in my head now XD
Lol

My smoke detector can't talk, I have a simple ABUS RM10. I live in Germany.
