I spent three days with a chriping version of this trying to figure out how to open the battery door. Finally saw you just need to RIP at that plug (I didn't want to break it, so it's good to see a video where they show you you're doing the right thing). Thanks.
I Love this thing and recommend everyone to get one. They saved my family. I was looking for a couple of years just because they are a bit pricy but found some for a great deal and within about 3 months of installing them we woke up at 3 am to the alarm telling us to evacuate due to carbon monoxide levels. The fire department came and said If we didn't have the alarms my family would not have woken up that day.
Hey does it tell you when it has a low battery by speaking or chirping?
@@kristenakrist1984 just by chirping.
@@lindsychatterton nice. We have one upstairs outside my bedroom door. I live in South Florida and my parents got one because we got this bigger generator for when we lose the power during the hurricanes and I guess he was told to get a carbon monoxide alarm so that’s what he got. I was at work when my dad installed it. I know it does that beep beep beep after talking reminds me of an old school smoke alarm sound
The speaker sounded like the voice that comes from cheap kids learning toys
Wonderful explanation video! That helped to learn a lot. I just recently did a similar demonstration test video like this, except mine is just up here loud beeper and not a voice message like this one.
Yes, the ones withouth voices are higher pitched
I installed six of these in my home last year and it brings me peace of mind that every bedroom has CO detection now. I looked at the detectors offered by nest and not only were they too expensive, but their inability to interconnect to other brands of detectors was what drew the line. Some things in the home are just not meant to turn smart, in my opinion.
By the way you only need co detector in hallways where bedrooms are
TY for great video. My unit is broken I think. CO light none, just smoke is green and when I push test button it says: Detector error, please see manual, :(.
If the CO alarm sounds, this is what you'll hear and see:
Voice: “Warning, evacuate carbon monoxide in [Location, example: “Kitchen”]. Evacuate.” “____ ppm.”
Horn: 4 beeps, pause, 4 beeps, voice
Power/Smoke LED: Off
CO LED: Flashes Red
Even though it's supposed to be hard wired in, can you use it with just battery power?
This one is actually accurate, thank you.
Im wondering can location be changed on this
I could not get the ir remote to test/silence alarm, can you do a video about using
a ir remote control.
These are pretty nice units. I have similar alarms like this and they work great.

@Bembi Hi

Hey does this say low battery when the battery is low ?
Is the co light should be on ? Mine has no light on all 6 I have, also the smoke light is blinking on red... what should I do?
I have two of them in the house.
One flashes red another green? Any idea why?
We had to remove the one in our hallway as it goes off randomly and it even turns on the others as they're all wired together to alert the others
we have 3 non talking ones and the rest of the smoke alarms are he kidde talking ones
We all have the same smoke alarm but we have different ones now since 2017 the olden days about the smoke detectors I freaking cry cry cry because of the smoke detectors because I’m afraid of those but I’m over them now I’m 14 years old sometimes when the smoke alarms are off I usually just jump and then cover my ears and I get afraid when I unplug my ears when the smoke alarms are turned off even at night
Hows does this mute with a tv remote
PLEASE SEE MANUAL
Do they link together with other brands?
Those should all be installed in apartment units and the building alarm be a voice evacuation system.
I love how it says it reduces alarms caused by cooking smoke but mine went off over someone in the house accidentally burning a bagel
Nice cool video
Do these link with other talking units? Im guessing yes since you have to program a location ?
Yes, you are correct. ONELINK Talking Alarms can be linked to one another.
I have one of these they look awesome
+Hill9008 yes. they also work with the normal plain hardwired smoke or smoke/co combos
+Riley Anderesen they do look so awsome
Under the power light is flashing red, Why???
@iLoveMyGun89 It has a single button that allows you to test the alarm's functions. For more information you can click on the direct link to the product in the video's description.
Thank you for the demo I have to look at your site see if I can buy some.
Is it a hardware détecter ?
Under power, why is my light flashing red? All the other ones in my rooms are green.
lsbzcuz means it’s checking/ currently hard wired
Because it beeps like buzzing, rather than screaming it sounds less frightening to me
Hola por favor explique también en español
why dose it sound like a old-school buzzer alarm?
My unit will randomly go off for no reason. No smoke or carbon detected. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this to happen?
Fire department came out and check out my furnace and other appliances to assure I did not have a carbon issue.
ua-cam.com/video/BujuLD99A1I/v-deo.html here it might help
I returned one and got another one and it’s still not telling me anything about location as well take my money back

2:35 I barely saw a red light in the smoke hole.
camera didnt get it good
Mine is beeping five times saying there's an error when there is not an error.... Any help ?
That means your alarm's sensors have expired. Replace it ASAP
I think it's a little silly that people have to have a smoke detector that tells them to "evacuate." I thought that's what the loud beeping sound was for. Hopefully there's a way to turn off the voice so that you just get the alarms.
Its for sensory sensitive people
Is that what you are going to be thinking about if this machine activates?
PLEASE HELP ME STOP the constant chirping!! I changed the batteries and chirping continues.. I got these in 2015, the ufo shaped ones and now others have started chirping and I can't sleep!! driving me crazy. I tested one and the alarm works too...super annoying!
its telling you its time to get a new smoke detector, change ever 5 years
Mine is not talking
I need to get one of these, id much rather be woken up in the middle of the night to this thing malfunctioning than the ones I have now
Guess what?

?: Irodosiclitus.
The voice feature isn't exclusive, the nest protect is better than this
I'll put one of these on a simplex 2903 light plate.
dryden helland lol
Same question here.
Mine is telling me there is an error, see manual, but he manual says nothing about error?? Anyone got a clue? and yes I tried replacing the battery and it still said error.
virginia madden I think it ezpired. Do you know how long you used it. The one upstairs mine had lasted 14 years I guess
Remember that
im buying one of these i hope they are worth the $40.00!!!
Buddy Rubino (Bop it voice)
Wow. That alarm is very effective. @frizzyfrizz76 We replace them every 5 yo 10 years because eventually they don't work anymore. Or they don't work right or they are too old.
"NOW location programmed!" ???😂
its saying no location programmed
@@riderplaysroblox323 I know. But the "NO location programmed" sounded like "NOW location programmed" in my ears.
@@irgendwerausbayern1999 oh ok!
@@irgendwerausbayern1999 damm your still on youtube even after 6 years wow thats rare to happen
@@riderplaysroblox323 I'm one of those who comment a lot.
