This is actually really cool and helps to show others why you need a sideview/front view for modeling. Also think this is a clever way to do this, good job!
The Frogy! It's so cute and beautiful... You are really talented, bro. Your videos make me more interested in 3D arts, so i'm start trying these days. Thanks!
You guys don’t have to act as if Changed wasn’t super well known and EVERYWHERE like 2 years ago. Plus that idea isn’t even incorporated into the characters in that game like you state, more so the complete opposite. Instead of having the slime creature being inside the body having some slimy features of it sticking out, the changed latex creatures are more like a layer on the outside of the host with no parts of the host sticking out. If you chose Changed because of the whole “Slime creature taking someone as a host” thing, I feel like there was a much better example you could’ve used, and if you chose Changed because it’s popular then….you should already know there’s no point in telling him not to look it up. He’s probably already seen it.
came to see how you were going to rig the croaker, wasn’t disappointed. also, oh my GOD the ANIMATION its so lively and cute oh my god youve gotten so good at animations, keep it up o7
Best way I learned as a self taught person is to get inspiration and in the case of this, I reccoemend watching the guy who was making the donut. I watch half of it and then make somthing I REALLY wanted to make. Deleted it and try again. Ask for help and try again. Over and over.
Watch the donut tutorial, it doesn't matter how it comes out because that tutorial is meant to give you a grasp of the controls and windows, you don't have to finish it either Next learn something a bit more advanced like the anvil to refine what you know or try a *really* small project After these two you should have a grasp on how to do things but still need practice, so keep on making things
I've watched so many videos on this sort of thing in the past but your channel finally just. Made it click for me, y'know? Made me finally realize how to go about this. I have aphantasia, so as an artist, it's a bit extra hellish to figure out how to go about things without being able to picture it in my head (yeah, some folks actually see an apple in their head when told to picture one, or their dreams actually are like. They can see things, and it's not just concepts or like words in a story or somethin. ..I can't do that. And if you can't either, you might want to look into Aphantasia, it's a bit new to psychology relatively speaking so maybe you could even help others by looking into help yourself, adding to data points and all that, hehehe) Point is I've always had a hard time with poses and anatomy and all that sorta stuff but still been determined to learn to draw and slowly improving (see pfp for a little of my art) And I've obviously made things finally that you can *understand* and aren't sketchy messes, even if it takes up most of my pencil erasers every time And I wanted to move up to making models, to help with the pose issue, since I know posing human models in pose apps has been a huge help I can get a vague idea of how the pose should feel, like a mage might have their hands near or around their heart, as though channeling magic from their core, or at their forehead, from their third eye type vibe Or I can think of all the tanks posing with the handle of their heavy weapon casually on their shoulder But I have to redraw a bunch to get the pose onto paper so I can see if I like the pose, let alone the chance of the arm not looking nice and all that But I've had such a hard time working out how to go about modeling to help with that too I recall concentric circles and keep it low poly and all but Then I get stuck at the face wondering how I can fix the mess I made and still keep it clean and tidy and all And throw it all out again And if I get annoyed enough I figure I'll do the head and add the face later, big mistake, but Then I try to focus on torso, do fine, feel good, get stuck at how to add arms some but add them eventually, then I get stuck at fingers and stop to try and do other parts and get legs and all but get stuck at feet, and at hair and all And I hate it because my sketches lay it out rather well but I just couldn't wrap my head around how to do certain parts even after some guides And your videos have made more and more finally click, as well as taught me some tricks to try like the color coding to ensure clean lines on 'rims' on the model if I want to have that sort of lined vibe to my models, or how to even *start* fingers and toes and all So thank you, you gave me that final push to move forward and learn and grow and finally do far better than I likely ever would have without your help.
Dude.. Your creations are soo cute yet hastily made. Lots of time refining your characters in 2D so you don't have to fiddle too much in blender, And not a cheesy modeling technique in sight.
I think you should make them an open species! I love the design and just the way they are built. And the way you put expression in to your 3d models is honestly amazing.
i don't know jack about 3d modeling, but god this model and character design is so CUTE!!!!!!!! it KILLS me p.s. the pvz music already had me but then the crypt of the necrodancer came in and sat me down
This is a question I've been meaning to ask, but do you enjoy the process of making 3d models? Like is it something you do more as a hobby? I wanted to know because if you do it for work, I was going to follow up on that. Have you felt less enjoyment when you do it as work?
one note, i think it would behoove u to use inverse kinematics on the arms and legs, in the final animation i can definitely feel that its missing with how the arms are moving. plus, it saves a lot of time in the animation process! otherwise this is really wonderful, this channel really motivates me to keep working on my 3d skills!
ive been watching your videos and i really would like to try modeling in this method but im just not sure i can wrap my brain around the topology..... ive been 3d modeling for almost a year and im about to go t school for it, but i want to learn now!

Wait I’m confused, what’s this creature supposed to be?
It looks like the green stuff is a slime creature using a the body as a host, but honestly it looks cute
There is a game with that idea incorporated into the characters somewhere... don't look for it.

I recall concentric circles and keep it low poly and all but
