Great advice i have this tear now injured myself 7 weeks ago getting off a seat on the plane twisted my knee i knew I'd tore it straight away as ive had the same injury twice before during weight training 🥺 i was told today to wait another 5 weeks before i see a surgeon! So im exercising myself with doctors advice 🙏
Depends on your surgery and if you're told weight bearing or not. Last time i did meniscectomy and I was walking within 1-2weeks. But this time i did menicus repair and it was hell. Not used to non weight bearing and accidentally triggered it. Hope I didn't make it worse 😭😭😭
I'm 55 years old and very good shape. It's been 10 months and I'm going to gym doing different exercises to strengthen my entire leg yet I still can't run, jump and still have pain going up or down stairs without
This has advice for trims and repairs, but sometimes advice for both and sometimes just advice for repairs. Can you please clarify which you are talking about? Trims or repairs? Because those time frames and processes re very different.

what type of meniscus tear did you have?

Menisectomy or meniscus repair?
I was able to walk immediately after waking up from anesthesia following surgery… I didn't have to wait 24 hours after the operation…
Did you have meniscus repair or partial meniscus removal?
So you had a trim, not a repair.
He said can ut wait and walk no need of support he said
Seems my doctor misguided me
Same here, they do it in order for us not be afraid of the surgery
Dude.
Snooze and lose.
