Yes these chevettes are the last chevettes ever rallied. They where lighter then the chevette hs and more horsepower. The chevette hsr should have a 2.6 liter engine instead of the 2.3 liter but the reason: i dont know.
They were just fantastic rally cars Russell brooks chevette xeg 305x seemed to have luck were poor terry kaby had lots of problems fer 688w and by now yes they had 2600 engines
Yes, they ran a 2.6 litre single cam in the national rally series. Tuned for torque. Never understood why not with DOHC; tuned for torque and BHP. Against the Escort, and the Opel Manta.
