“Stop telling people it’s the best day ever! “. I love that!! Amen to that! Maybe the best day of your life could be later in the marriage ya know!

This was such a life saver. I was so happy to be engaged but I kept getting anxiety attacks and really questioned whether I actually wanted to marry my fiancée or not. I’m more laid back and just want a small magical intimate wedding and I’m doing it regardless of what outside voices tell me. So thankful for this video validating my experience, as well as others.

    Thank you very much !
I don't have OCD, but I do struggle with Depression
My engagement was really overwhelming for me and I felt so ashamed for being not happy enough. And what people might think about my relationship when they find out that I am so anxious.
You said a lot that just stuck with me and helped me distance my self from that negative emotions

This video is such a godsend. I know in the next two years or so, my boyfriend of 2 years will propose, and I’ve been struggling with ROCD for the past 6 months.

I think everyone is different and one rule doesn't fit all. Some people won't have the same experience but no one should feel like they are alone.

I have a question about rocd. I've been dating a girl for 4 months and I asked her a question about a week ago and the question was,"what is love to you?" I thought it was more of your actions and not feelings, ever since then I believe ive been behaving with many symptoms of rodc including doubting my love, Google searching what love is and how do I know if I have it,I try avoiding saying I love you because then I check my feelings to see if I do love her,but idk what it feels like and I start falling deeper and deeper into a hole because I feel guilt and I feel like I'm lying to myself and her but she is literally the best girl out there and we have a healthy relationship.I told her about the doubts I had and wether I loved her or not before i found out I could have rocd which led to her parents putting me to a test. I can't see her or text her for 2 weeks to see if I have a burning desire to see her, but ive learnt to be kinda "tough" in a way to where I know I'm not gonna be super excited to see her but I'm going to feel just okay, and idk if its a sign that we should break up because her and her family's mentality is set on live being a feeling and that they know that feeling and I feel bad because I don't feel anything. Please give some advice

Brandon, all of the "symptoms" you mentioned do sound like they could be a part of Rocd. Just because you do not feel a "burning desire" to see her doesn't mean you don't love her, respect her and honor her as your partner. It also doesn't mean you don't want this relationship. Maybe you are someone who is very self reliant and comfortable on your own, which is a good thing when being in a relationship (rather than codependency) Rocd likes to trick us into thinking we are not in love because we don't "feel" in love. Constantly checking if we love our partner or miss them does the opposite. It creates anxiety and expectations which can sometimes lead us to not feeling anything at all or even feeling the opposite of what we want. At the end, long lasting love is more than a feeling. It is a choice. A mutual choice. A choice to care for, respect and put in the work with someone in a relationship. I encourage you to watch more of Awaken into love's videos, they have helped me a lot in understanding a bit more of what could be going on with my own Rocd.

Yana 🤍 I relate to this a lot! I just got married to my husband and we’ve been together for 6 years going on 7! I started having obsessive thoughts and feelings of “doubt” on whether I do actually love my husband. It’s a constant battle because I know I love him but the feelings aren’t there and it send me in a panic even more. I constantly check my feelings to the point that it even makes me feel numb towards my partner and this relationship completely and then I start to believe like “I might actually not love him anymore bc I don’t feel anything what is going on?” I recently found a name to this last month so I’m still trying to learn how to cope with this. It’s definitely hard but we can get through this and you are not alone 🙏🏼

ur mind will keep telling u things thta u dont wanna hear. Ur mind swill be like "u sure u want to marry her" or "oh ur not gonna be happy" annoying internal voices that wont shut up. Me and my gf have been together for over a year and we never ever showed that we didnt love each other..when we started talking about getting married this year again...the intrusive thoughts came in. Thats how u know its not real. Dont give up on the person u love. Me and my gf are getting married this fall.

You can really see how much kiyomi is truly listening to Rhiannon - she is really absorbing what she’s saying and you can see she truly cares about what she has to share. For it to help her and Rhiannon but you can tell she wants us to see it and hear it to help us. this is why she does what she does. Such a kind hearted human being ♥️
