Completely agree on the point of UA-cam being less demanding. I recently switched my focus from IG to UA-cam and it’s been amazing! Everything is starting to align and I feel less stressed when it comes to creating content.
Another thing people don't talk about is how well your UA-cam videos work together to recommend your old videos years later if you do a video on a similar topic. There's just this huge amount of content that all links back to each other.
My first time seeing your channel is this video. I tried UA-cam several times and am just now finding my groove. I learned a lot just from watching my favorite UA-cam channels. Yes! UA-cam is so much less stressful/demanding especially once you have your process down. At first it can be overwhelming, but I appreciate that because you also get less time-wasting/distracting content to consume on UA-cam.
Hey Jessica! Been watching you for over a year and a half now. Joined another YT membership with a weekly call and I finally posted YT videos which is a win but 10 months later, not much traction, hated the niche and tried another - unsuccessfully. Thinking about signing up for an audit but didn't see a message section since I'm struggling with my niche, would an audit even be the way to go? My previous mentor said "I can't pick your niche for you" which I get but need help with "ideas". I can't waste much more time getting something to stick to earn some supplemental income. Do you offer phone consult since I'm stuck on niche or would audit be the only option? So far I've spent over $1K and can't continue if I can't figure this out to get monetized. Thanks!
Ok, Jessica the Awesome, the waiting game is so hard! I think I’ve got my niche down…I am multi passionate, so it was hard but I’m getting better at creating for my people. My editing is improving. I have digital downloads that I’m trying to crank out monthly in My Stan store. 😅 How long will it be before this consistency pays off? -A former elementary teacher that became a stay at home mom this year and doesn’t want to go back for a while!
Gurl! I have been biting my tongue about that wall because you said that you don't want to hear about it. The lighting helps but painting it will help more haha 😊😂
The way it looks in this video is how I envisioned it (and is the way it looks in person) but using ANY other camera (my web cam/my phone) it is VIOLENTLY green 😂😂😂😂
Absolutely! I’ve had a TON of crafting creators in my programs before and they’ve had great success!! @atjennysplace (not sure if that tag will work) is one that I can think of off the top of my head
I love your wall, but since you said you are wanting to repaint it have you thought about a blue color? I’ve noticed that people seem to like a pop of blue in videos for some reason and it can keep them watching. I’d love your thoughts on that.
I think I'd have the same trouble with blue that I'm having with green - I LOVE it in person, but where the wall is the only thing you see behind me when I'm on a video call or even when I'm filming a vertical video, it's VIOLENTLY green, even though it's more muted in person. Like, in this video, it's fine, I like it and it looks the way it does in person, but as soon as I use my webcam and/or phone it's like WOAH! PLUSSSSS, I really want to be able to use lights behind me and change up the look and I just can't with a darker color so I haven't quite decided but we're going with something light-ish, maybe back to the off-white that it was before, hahahaha.
@@jessicastansberry Yea, I completely agree with you. I have a teal green wall and a white wall in my office and I usually only film in front of the white wall. Like you said you have more ability with the lightening with a lighter color wall. It is a beautiful color, but I get these pretty colors don't always want to play nice on camera. Happy painting. Can't wait to see what you do next.
I love this video. Thanks for spilling out these tips. Your husband might find this video and hear what you said, lol. The background doesn't look bad.

Ugh, I know that feeling BUT if you’ll make good content for a specific group of people, you’ll be consistent, and you’ll continually get 1% better, you’ll get there!!!

I am just getting into UA-cam - always just dabbled before. Blogging has been a lot easier for me, historically.
Enjoyed watching this video ! Becoming full time on youtube is my goal ⭐
I joined YT Rockstars... which microphone are you using? The one you link to isn't the one you're using in the video. The audio is great.
It says the course is $1497 on UA-cam rock stars, not $199

Loved this. Thank you so much for these creator tips. Hope I can have your kind of success one day. Thanks so much! 🤗🌸✨
Hi jessica stansberry this is my first time watching your video❤
Hi Jessica, what mic do you use?❤
The podcast mic that’s in front of me here is the Shure MV7 but I normally use the DJI mic 2s for videos
Thank you!

Haha! He doesn’t watch my videos usually BUT I did end up telling him I was repainting it and he just laughed at me 😂
