The only battle report channel that gives you a sense of physical space in the killzone with the camera angles but is reserved enough not to litter the screen with effects. Still the top of the KT game on youtube
I'm one of those people who just now getting into Kill Team and y'alls videos have been super helpful in just understanding the flow of the game. Thanks for sharing and doing what you do.
Especially for an army who can just instantly kill any operative they want as long as they dont fail their 2+ with re roll. How do you play v that? Im just looking to get into kill team and it seems terrifying and oppressive
@mintw4241 Only the despotek has a 2+, as well as the apprentek/cryptek if they shoot through each other using an ability. It does seem oppressive, but you gotta remember that even though it's called kill team it should be called score point. The fact that Bheta Decima has this late game objective scoring aspect HEAVILY skews it to hierotek, who typically struggle to score points early due to their mobility but last into the late game due to their resilience. If this was a typical matched set up, then those 3 apl blades of khaine would have pulled a huge vp lead early that the necrons may have struggled to come back from even after tabling on turn 2. Even though they seem oppressive, even after numerous buffs the hierotek are still only considered middling in terms of power, with many teams countering them.
still the best Kill Team bat reps on the internet. i wasn't excited about the new terrain but after seeing a game on it i see how much it changes things up for the better. Cheers!!
When that first kill occurred my initial thought was "Darn it, I'm not really going to learn much from this batrep." However by the end, I have come around and realized that this was a great demonstration of Bheta Decima and how as players we will need to be thinking about vantage this season. Cheers fellas
A win for the Necrons! However I did notice that the Despotek climbed the Gantry, even though Intractable March hadn't been used. This should normally be impossible, since the Despotek only has a 4" movement characteristic and vertically climbing the gantry takes 4" of movement, leaving the Despotek with no movement remaining to actually move horizontally to end a move on top of the gantry. I also think that the Exarch actually could've survived the Deathmark's shooting at the end there with the Just a Scratch Rune. The 3 damage from melee should've left the Exarch at 6, the MW from the auto crit puts him at 5, and then with 4 hits at 4/4, if you ignore 1 and save 2 you would only take 4 more damage to leave him at 1 wound. I don't think it would've changed much, but figured I'd mention it.
I have NEVER been able to tolerate a battle report. Ever. For any game. Ever. Ever. I’ve been gaming and watching UA-cam games for over a decade. Batreps have been such a joke, an indulgence, two nerds geeking out over what amounts to a banal series of dice rolling (like somebody telling you about a dream they had). But this!! But THIS!! You make this an actual medium. An art. Everything makes sense and is a narrative. Not a single other UA-camr does this. Kudos!
For blades, I'd try advancing concealed TP1 and do 3 barricades positioned to let you safely advance into charge range. Maybe advancing up via barricades on gantries.
This channel made me get back into 40K after a long (LONG) haitus. New patreon member, keep on keepin' on guys. Brad - congrats on the birth of your child! Love from the UK.
Love your battle reports. your commentary, camera angles, paint jobs, and humor all make this one of my favorite channels overall! (EDIT: Also, how could have I forgotten your awesome self produced music! Legit this is such a cool channel!)
I find myself very very perplexed watching this because I love Necrons, they’re my first army, but recently I’ve been thinking about getting Eldar and I’ve come to really enjoy a lot about them. So it feels really weird trying to root for one team or the other. Love these videos, this channel is the best one for kill team bat-reps that I could find
i really like the idea of blades with the dashing in the shadows for objectives before jumping out and taking potshots, but a) ironically Bheta seems like a rough map for them vs the shooty teams and b) you need to dig through old boxes to get the banshees and avengers which is kinda zzz
Really like the style of your videos! It´s funny and enjoyable. I´d be cool, if you could eyplain some aspects of the rules here there more / more often. Great job, looking forward to see more from you guys.
Vic, I'm looking forward to playing Blades of Khaine. I had these thoughts after watching your batrep. 1. Dire Avengers don't need to have barricades on the gantries because they're 3APL. They can do pop-up attacks and be fine. Against Necrons, the case could be made that they should only be shooting Plasmacytes because they don't have the AP to one-shot anything else. You'd either want three of them to kill a single Necron that was left in the open, or none of them so that the rest of your team could be doing melee. 2. Barricades should be used exclusively to protect Scorpions and Banshees on turn one while they move/dash on conceal. Even if you lose one or two operatives to vantage shots from the Furnace, you should be able to have at least six or seven concealed melee units ready to charge on turn 2. Your barricades were too far back. 3. Into the Dark gameplay made me think of Kill Team strategy as if I was playing a lane-brawler. I get the same vibes from Season 3, and in my few games so far it has been super easy for a single operative to lock down an entire lane from the far side of the board. Especially the ones on the edge of the board. It is better to give up an a lane if an operative on the other side is going to eat up 1/3 of your team.
Asked Vic on the Discord and here's what he said: "The terrain is mostly achieved with thinned down typhus corrosion on all of it, over a brown prime. Drybrush selectively with different rust colours and a big of Dollarama silver. And then I mixed up and oil wash for the greenish verdigris in the bolts"
Hey guys, great battle reports. LOVE the post-round review with the little overhead mini-map. Reminds me of oldschool White Dwarf paper battle reports, and it's excellent. I''ve never played Killteam (waiting on my October preorder) but had a quick rules question - if a Chronomancer (or something else) gives a friendly operative a free fight/overwatch/shoot action or something like that - is that operative able to do that action even if they've already done it themselves on the same turn? (Ie. Model A shoots on his turn. Model B commands Model A to get a free shoot action). Is that legal?
Next kill is gonna be some Irish themed Space Wolf intercessors (got inspired by listening to a massive list of Irish rebel songs) but after that? I'm for sure doing a Blades of Khaine team
I'm looking into getting into Kill Team, partly because of your videos. I think I understand the gameplay better now. So thanks for that. Now I need to figure out how to afford it, and I think the starter set is the way to go.
The starter set is a great buy! If you have a friend to split the models with, it's an incredible value... and even if you don't, it's still a great pickup.
At the start when you showed the Howling Banshee Warrior stats you seem to have given her a slight buff 😅 When I saw 3+ save and 13 wounds I was thinking damn that's a tanky Eldar and went to double check, thankfully the true stats were far less scary 😆
New map, new team. Im sure youve played it a few more times and gotten new perspectives, but I think the map is actually pretty fun, especially the tri-lane side. I think if you stacked your scorpions into one lane, banshees flying up gantries behind scouting barricades, you couldve done more damage and gotten more double kills. Avengers hang out tower side, jump up to punish and pressure, then dash down into obscuring footprint of the gantries.
I'm sort of surprised the necrons won given: 1. Reanimation does not cost cp anymore, so the Apprentek could have been reanimated no problem 2. I'm not sure the Deathmark's retain one normal hit as a crit equipment got used at all 3. On that last Despotek shot, he could have turned one of those ones into a reroll but didn't for some reason I guess you didn't need them, but these are all things that I use constantly when I play Hierotek, so I was surprised to see how many tricks like that got overlooked.
I think beta decima has a rule where anytime you have 4 inches of hazardous terrain between targets then that blocks LOS. Also any time you have to shoot under a gantry you don’t have LOS.
Edit: correction, apparently the hazardous terrain LOS restriction does not apply when the operatives are both on vantage points. That does make this board way WAY too open. Like ridiculously advantageous to shooting teams.
Keen for seeing more of the seasons three stuff on the chanel =) But pour one out for the elves, keen to see how they do next time on the chanel. When I was watching I wonder if using the shoot mid movement might have kept the dire avengers alive more? Same with the super conceal on the scorpions? Not sure how to keep the Banshees alive tho...
Guys, I miss you when you're not around. Brad my boy is 7 week old now and I am just now finding small wins in being able to play killteam and paint. IM BACK BAYBEE
Great seeing the Blades of Khaine and Beta-Decima on this channel. Tbh, I am not really convinced of this new terrain set, seems really favorable towards Dakkateams. I prefer Open Board anytime of the day.
I think the place to advance was onto to big flat circle on the top. Then a flying banshee charge off the top of the tower onto a necron or two might have made things hard. At least you guys got a set. They didn’t even last an hour on pre order down here.
Man theres something so weirdly nostalgic about your videos. I just remember binge watching battle reports and sweating my ass off without AC in the summer. Good times. Now its all grey and gross lol
Wasn’t able to get the terrain set and didn’t really want the Salvation set (Eldar are not my favorite) so these batreps are very valuable. TBH I’m not seeing anything I like about WaterWorld. But maybe that will change later?
Wait you cant shoot across the green space... its no go. No shooting as bullets fly away in the winds. No visibility. No move. Loves this vid long time fan but im preeeeety sure
I kind of guessed how it is oing to play out, once I saw the match up. Aspect warriors are too easy to kill for how few models they have and Necron guns are just perfect at killing 8W operatives. Expected nothing else from this battle, sadly :(
Perfect video showing aspect warrior difficulties... i think they'll have a lot of difficulties and harsh match ups. Add a dark reaper and fire dragon however and then....
Glad I didn't buy the terrain. This game seemed like a terrain problem. If this was your typical Killzone with more cover and less vantage, the Blades of Khaine would have faired better imo. Great vid tho, and excellent paintjob on both teams!
The only battle report channel that gives you a sense of physical space in the killzone with the camera angles but is reserved enough not to litter the screen with effects. Still the top of the KT game on youtube
Incroyable.
Totally agree. GW's best game repped by the best channel to do it.
Agree 100%
Good camera angles is all I look for in a battle report. Too many channels just show a top down view which is just not interesting to watch.
Totally agree. I actually avoid those. Static and boring @@darthvaderyan
"I've never seen someone feel less pain" 😂 Great quote, great ep. Thanks boys!
I love how simple but effective that Necron scheme is.
I'm one of those people who just now getting into Kill Team and y'alls videos have been super helpful in just understanding the flow of the game. Thanks for sharing and doing what you do.
Those FNP rolls were INSANE. 20 dice rolled and like 17 were 5+s, on top of the constantly making saving throws and defense rolls
Especially for an army who can just instantly kill any operative they want as long as they dont fail their 2+ with re roll. How do you play v that? Im just looking to get into kill team and it seems terrifying and oppressive

Great video guys, hilarious commentary, I thought "feel less pain" was the winner but then "They got Beta Decimated" was spoken and I lost it 🤣
still the best Kill Team bat reps on the internet. i wasn't excited about the new terrain but after seeing a game on it i see how much it changes things up for the better. Cheers!!
Babe wake up, new Mountainside Tabletop video just dropped
I need my notifications for this channel to be LOUD
When that first kill occurred my initial thought was "Darn it, I'm not really going to learn much from this batrep." However by the end, I have come around and realized that this was a great demonstration of Bheta Decima and how as players we will need to be thinking about vantage this season. Cheers fellas
Sort of. It didn't seem like either side took advantage of the obscuring rules at all.
Between the paint job and your custom mat you have improved this terrain set by about 1000%. It actually looks GOOD. Unbelievable.
Agreed 👍🏼💯
"I've never seen someone feel less pain"😂this br definitely had me gasping at the FNP roles
A win for the Necrons! However I did notice that the Despotek climbed the Gantry, even though Intractable March hadn't been used. Good to see another vid from you guys pop up. Great battle report as always.
Man these batreps are gold, love the format!! How do you guys edit this so well?? WOW
The intros are always exquisite in how awesome they are.
With this scenario, I can see both teams hiding for the first 2.5 turns and then dashing to the objectives.
I have NEVER been able to tolerate a battle report. Ever. For any game. Ever. Ever. I’ve been gaming and watching UA-cam games for over a decade. Always glad to see your batreps, and as always you've done a great job!
Love your videos! They brought my entire attention into Kill Team and its little tactical world. Keep it up!
I love that yellow on the scorpions. Great bat rep as usual guys!
Great batrep as usual and its cool to see you guys play Beta Decima since the feel of the board changes massively based on the mission in play
Love your battle reports. your commentary, camera angles, paint jobs, and humor all make this one of my favorite channels overall! (EDIT: Also, how could have I forgotten your awesome self produced music! Legit this is such a cool channel!)
“Eldar melee perfect into Necron, Necron guns perfect into Eldar.” Hmmm, almost as if Blades should have moved up in conceal? Lol
Yeah, that was really what lost him the game imo.
Great video as always, thanks for the hard work!
Love the turn summary with the moving dots. Great!
Love your battle reports and love the Louis Cole playing in the background!
Im not sure yall know how good you are. Best production. Best cameras. Best bat reps on youtube.
Great video as always Brad and Vic! The new eldar kill team seems fun too
After getting into KillTeam over the new year's and binging all your videos. It's good to see something new!
Great video and brutal match! As always sick models.
I was looking for something new to watch during my lunch break... saving this for tomorrow.
My fav battle report series is back ❤😊
What was used for the Necron countertemporal nanomine marker? I'm looking to pick up something similar but not sure what I'm looking for
22:39 is that Louis Cole I hear in the background? I had a feeling you guys had good taste
Excellent batrep as always!

Great report, where can someone get that battlemat?
Best Kill Team channel out there ❤
Thank you for the video guys
Whoa when did Hierotek Cyrcle get good? I played them back in early 2023 and I don't remember a FNP on the Chronomancer!
Necrons got good about 6 months ago or so - many buffs to Reanimation
Really like the style of your videos! It´s funny and enjoyable. I´d be cool, if you could eyplain some aspects of the rules here there more / more often. Great job, looking forward to see more from you guys.

What colors did you guys use for your terrain and how did you get it looking all chipped and worn?
Asked Vic on the Discord and here's what he said: "The terrain is mostly achieved with thinned down typhus corrosion on all of it, over a brown prime. Drybrush selectively with different rust colours and a big of Dollarama silver. And then I mixed up and oil wash for the greenish verdigris in the bolts"
@@shartsmcginty8056 awesome! thank you
Awesome! I love your content!!
Always a good day when you guys post a batrep. I thought this terrain would produce boring games, I was wrong.

The starter set is a great buy! If you have a friend to split the models with, it's an incredible value... and even if you don't, it's still a great pickup.
I was wondering if I could get the list of paints used on the necrons! They look amazing!
How did you dash up the terrain at the beginning? Doesn't it count as 4" move just going up. Not even counting horizontal distances
At the start when you showed the Howling Banshee Warrior stats you seem to have given her a slight buff 😅 When I saw 3+ save and 13 wounds I was thinking damn that's a tanky Eldar and went to double check, thankfully the true stats were far less scary 😆

"Nothing is good anymore."
Brethren. After watching this game up to this point, I feel that in my soul. Persist in the face of ridonkulous FNPs.
This is what I was wanting!!!
Love the vids. Love to see more shatterpoint!
Fuck yes. Just in time for me to have my dinner whilst watching.

amazing video, but those poor Eldars! :c
Welcome back!
Great as always. Any more warcry in your planning???
I think the place to advance was onto to big flat circle on the top. Then a flying banshee charge off the top of the tower onto a necron or two might have made things hard. At least you guys got a set. They didn’t even last an hour on pre order down here.
I see you guys glossed over the reanimation protocols. It makes sense but what if you guys had a camera angle and some green arrows pointing up.
Ooh, this is a matchup i played recently from the necrons side. Tough for the eldar cause they don't have great shooting
That was brutal
Man theres something so weirdly nostalgic about your videos. I just remember binge watching battle reports and sweating my ass off without AC in the summer. Good times. Now its all grey and gross lol
I wonder why Vic didn't deploy all/more in conceal
What board are you guys playing on?
Edit: I should have just watched the video lol
Ah, so it's a custom mat, looks a thousand times better than what comes with Bheta-Decima. Fun to see these teams play too, nice.
Wasn’t able to get the terrain set and didn’t really want the Salvation set (Eldar are not my favorite) so these batreps are very valuable. TBH I’m not seeing anything I like about WaterWorld. But maybe that will change later?
Lovely necron colour theme! How is the black'ish armor done?
Straight Corvus Black!
FINALLY!!!
Where might one find the music used in the video?

Yesssssss!
You know that Reanimate ploy is 0CP, right?
the new terrain looks shooting favoured? I don't play KT though so probably a bad opinion.
I'm sorry guys...but...the shot on 12.00 shouldn't be obscured?
Is that a custom game mat?
Yaay let's goo!
how do you spell the sound that aeldari made flying off the board? YAEEIIE? Great vid dudes!
Fucking feel no pain coming in clutch
Where is the mat from?
That’s what I need to know
YEAH BOY!!!!!!!!
I kind of guessed how it is oing to play out, once I saw the match up. Aspect warriors are too easy to kill for how few models they have and Necron guns are just perfect at killing 8W operatives. Expected nothing else from this battle, sadly :(
Brad really is just lucky isn't he?
Woot! Like # 800!
Perfect video showing aspect warrior difficulties... i think they'll have a lot of difficulties and harsh match ups. Add a dark reaper and fire dragon however and then....
Where Is The PDF Map?

Play HoTA, Dark Eldar, next. A
