Those running boards look nice aesthetically. Functionality wise, you’ll likely trip over them instead of stepping on them. These are probably good for little children but adults. It should be an ease to get in despite its roofline.
I feel the same! That’s why I will keep my 07 LS and 04 RX. These newer ones are trying too hard to be please everyone instead of being nice and simple luxury vehicles as they were.
Great review! It will be interesting to see if the RX faithful embrace this evolutionary styling and transition to the 4 banger. I get they can't afford to alienate their buyers, but it feels like they missed an opportunity to take this model to the next level.
Another comprehensive review! I appreciate your using a sound meter to define interior quietness. I have owned every generation of RX and currently drive RX450h F Sport 2020. Have driven two 23 350’s. Most will not miss the V6, as turbo 4 is powerful and builds speed faster than V6 but with different sound. I have owned 8 speed auto on a 16 all wheel drive 350. Bad tranny. Hybrid “tranny” on 450h is best I have ever had!
Ok when i saw you guy’s post on instagram the color combo threw me off quite a bit. Looking at it more, it all comes together pretty well. Yes, the blue sets it off really well but whats not setting right with me is the silver trim. Lexus did the same thing with the black-line edition. With the chrome trim and thats what throwing it off because why black out the roof rails and not the window trim. Yes you can get aftermarket trimmings but it would be better if it came from the factory.
The RX is nice and always has been. I like that its very evolutionary and not revolutionary because that’ll throw it off from the Lexus brand. Though I do have one gripe and that is… its very, within the crowd. Its nothing that sets it off or distinguishes it. Yes thats a good thing for many consumers but there isn’t anything attention grabbing it won’t have you like “OH, A LEXUS RX” because its something you see in traffic every direction. Now, i will say it has some personality to it. I can see some Mazda influence in it but it’s just to itself. But i can see why they sell these like hot cakes. Its reliable, its dependable, comfortable and isn’t very expensive for the class. AND ITS MONEY HUNGRY like its german rivals. Mhm bmws and Mercedes. Its a luxury toyota venza if u wanna put it that way which isn’t a bad trait because the venza is pretty nice if you ask me
Yep. We test drove the RX H, great MPG. But we bought the $52k OTD NX H instead instead. I feel the pain writing that $52K check. Can’t stomach writing a $62-4K check on the RX H.
Big lexus fan but Really dislike the engine rattle at idle in beginning and horrible location of start /stop button should be placed where old track pad was and lexus should of been spelled out on steering wheel for a more updated look
No other UA-camr “car reviewers” say the same things that you guys say. You guys really review from a consumer standpoint. Everyone else is severely deluded.
It looks great inside and out, just wash they'd flush the economy car engine lineup. Everyone else (except Volvo) offers a choice of 6 cylinders, some even offer V8s. A 4-cylinder just doesn't compare to a good V6 or any I6 offered by the competition. Imagine an actual RX500 with the turbo V6 from the LS500. There you'd have it.
@@da1nonly_Q Everyone is going electric and still offers more than 4-cylinders. Lexus isn't going for irrelevance like Volvo is. Just having power isn't the point, you can get power out of any engine. Refinement is the key.
@@MercOne new Volvos are pretty refined! Since all are hybrids when you turn on the engine you don’t even hear a startup, and the start stop is seamless!
oh yea why you say that ? did you know that the Mercedes gle suv has less power than this is more expensive and has equal in luxury. so your not saying much i bet you having even test driven it or saw it in person
@@joel1992twin the gle first off yeah has less power. But it’s Mercedes. They’re lying and their base engine makes more power than actually advertised. And the base gle is still faster 0-60 😂 at 6.5 seconds vs 7.5 for the RX. Also Mercedes has Lexus beat by far in luxury. In design, materials, fit and finish, tech, opulence etc. Lexus however uses Toyota grade injection molded plastics all around the dash and doors and it still has cheap hard plastics within easy reach. No RX offers a leather dash, lots of wood trim, metal speaker grilles at any price. Mercedes does. And Mercedes ambient lighting is better than the Lexus. And the Mercedes drives better because it’s on a RWD platform The RX rides on the Camry / rav4 platform so it’ll drive like a rav4. You can put all the lipstick or mascara you want on the rx. Modularize the TNGA K platform to the nines for all I care; give it 400 hp. Unless you put it on a bespoke platform, the RX will continue to show its economy car roots. No way around it. The RX will drive like a rav4 or Highlander at the eod, only bigger and much more expensive
I love the rx. Keep up the good work.
Amazing review of the 2023 Lexus RX!! Great job guys!!
Thank you! 👍

The 'pursuit of perfection' has been lost by newer Lexus models; the BEST Lexus vehicles were in the past, period!

Thanks, Dan!
Heap the 4 banger in the RX350 sucks compare to the V6. The only one I would buy is the hybrid version at 36MPG combined.

Nice review. Between the rx and x5 what would you buy and why? Thanks.
Luxury, reliability, value and good reputation Lexus.
I would probably get the Lexus rx580 f-sport performing
LEXUS 👌🏻❤️ 👍🏻 FRST QUALITY, FIRST CLASS
I like the blue
Today I saw an F Sport in a midnight blue. Fantastic looking.

From watching your review of new 2023 RX 350. If I want the new RX it’d be 350H. Very good informations.Thanks.

@@jml9550 I would have done the same. Here in Australia, it's a 2 year waiting list for the NX!! Unbelievable.
@@james0321 yeah. Seems like Australia and Canada are not getting much allocation compare to the US. That’s kind of suck.
I would just like to know if the sport has a harsher ride than the regular RX?

Nice looks
Some wrong info about the climate settings; standard is dual zone, not single.

The based engine in the CX-90 is laughing at this 4cyl
As a 6 foot 1 person, getting in that thinks is painful. You have to bend over so much to get past that low A pillar
Did you get a competing vehicle instead? If so, what did you choose?
Get a Range Rover, plenty of room and need plenty of money too now and later. 😊
Engine sounds nice and sporty 👌
For the same money, would you buy a 2022 Lexus RX,which is the previous gen RX, or a 2022 Lexus NX , which is the new gen NX
Why didn't you choose the luxury trim? That's much better.
The vehicle is sent by the manufacturer.
Very good day😊
Very good 👍
No rear bumpers?
i like that blue. a lot
Excellent
Nice 👍
2.4L Turbo 4......Looks like I'll have to cross off another Lexus from my list.
Leatherette seat?? Are u sure?
Ain’t no way in hell i ain’t finna buy this car🤲
How can something be refined but louder than you'd expect lol?
I wonder what is the ( F ) sport mean ? Fast ?😂
Fuji Race Track in Japan
Turbo 4 instead of the smooth refined and perfected V6? No thanks
Good 😊😊
That engine sounds like it threw a rod. It most certainly is not perfection. They got rid of a perfectly fine V6 engine.
Wow❤❤❤❤
Great
Lexus is a nice and reliable luxury Toyota, but like most Toyota's their styling sucks!!😂😂!
Fugly..😂😅😂
Designed by Fishermen..hehehe
At least this one is better than the previous one 😅
@@루나더캣김, Yes it is. I love the blue color, but the design with the ugly Lexus grille and side styling is still too busy and disjointed.

Agreed. May Lexus rest in peace
2.4L in a 350? 😂
The black plastic bumpers look
Cheap
It's nice but so pricey for an ICE vehicle.
I will choose the top trim Telluride or Palisade over RX.
First ! Muahahhaah
how is this a luxury SUV?
It’s not. It’s a dressed up rav4

60K for a dressed up Camry / rav4?😂 yeah no I don’t think so

My mazda is better lol
Mazda is great if they can make mid size hybrid. The new CX90 PHEV is a great car and great priced, but a little too big for my wife.
