i own a nx350h and during a service they lent me an rx350 and to tell you the truth the only thing i liked more about the rx was the extra few inches of space and the slight bit quieter. Everything else felt identical from the technology to the steering feel and acceleration. I actually prefer my nx more because the size makes the vehicle feel more tossable when making quick lane changes and going on and off the ramps. The spare tire isn't a deal breaker for me as I drive locally so even getting a flat tire isn't a big deal as the tow companies are minutes away. I however changed the tires last season to non rfts whixh was the best decision i've made after buying this vehicle. Let alone the value you get. I was able to throw an extra package with more features for the same price as the rx that doesn't even have those comforts as the one I drove for my rental. Sorry for the long read but I hope someone finds this useful if they are stuck between the two and need a real owner perspective.
Aside from size, they really don’t differ all that much now as they both ride on the same TNGA-K platform now. The older generation used to be using two different platforms.
I am RX all the way. Better in comfort also little wider on the interior and exterior. The $6700.00 in savings will start to diminish once you have to replace the run flats on the NX. Also noise level on those run flats. Nicer wheels and real tires with a spare tire to boot for the RX. I also prefer the new grill on the RX. The NX grill is starting to look outdated. The NX looks very narrow both interior and exterior. My choice though will be the RX350H. Can you do a new video with the hybrid comparisons?
yeah im sure that at some point, they are getting tired of the misinterpretations about them being a "thing". so its nice to clear things up with the audience
The Lexus US site states that the RX has a larger boot than the NX; yet according to reviews in the UK the RX actually has the smaller boot. Can someone please explain this?
Great comparison. I would never get the hybrid because I hate CVT. That being said, I miss the naturally aspirated 6 cylinder engine. Will have to get used to the 4 cylinder turbo. Not sure gas mileage is that much better.
I just drove one. Very nice car, but the rear seats have less leg room than my NX300h & there is a large floor hump for any passenger sitting in the middle. The seats in back are not as comfy as the NX! The GV 80 gives good rear leg room & cargo space, but with big price increasei may just stick with Lexus hybrid.
I would go for the Nx 350H. It is a little smaller and easier to get around town and park. And, wouldn't buy a ice vehicle. With hybrids and EV's and all the new and continuing development there, ice just seems like an century old technology that is not healthy.
I bought an 24 NXh for my wife and it is a nice SUV. But I have tho admit the RXh is nicer, better interior material and more rear leg room. But the $12k price difference is a lot, so I chose the NXh.
What you forgot to mention, the RX has a real spare tires and run on normal tires. The NX runs on run flat and has no spare tires except for the base model. This is a major concern not having a spare tire for me!

I have been driving my current GS350 for the past 14 years, which came with run-flats. After 30K miles that was the first thing I got rid of. Horrible ride and they don't last that long. Lexus has discontined the GS model so I am out here looking after owning a Lexus since 1992. They are reliable vehicles. I question this review on how they can say a 21" run-flat is about the same comfort level as a 20'" regular tire. I use Michelin tires.

Why did you award a half point for 21 inch rims over 20s. I have sold tires and rims for 5 years and 21s should loose you a point vs 20s. Tough to find 21s and super expensive
Don't buy any new Lexus unless the Dealer can supply 2 keys at purchase. Chip shortage forces them to give only 1 key at purchase with promise to give a second one later. Dealing with that now and the process is a shitshow. Waste of time bounced around the dealer form2 weeks now trying to get second key.
I've lusted after the RX since they were first introduced, but given that the NX offers just about everything the RX does, including passenger and cargo room, I would be tempted to go save a few bucks and go for the NX. The plug-in hybrid version will definitely be on my short list for my next vehicle.
I see numbers you've shown, but still when I got inside both cars at my dealership I felt like RX was noticeably more spacious, especially for back row and with back seats fully declined. The only issue I had was the back row headroom in the RX with panoramic roof (I am quite tall) - but it's not the case if you decline your seat. I also love semi-aniline leather which is available only for Omotenashi trim of the RX I believe (at least here in Poland).
The concluding section of the video was well done, I feel like some points from my personal experience owning an RX and having an NX for a few months might be helpful to anyone reading. I've borrowed my brother's NX450h+ for a few months and I had issues with the roof clearance hitting my head on bumps while trying to get the maximum visibility from the driver side seat. I'm only 5'7. In my RX I literally don't have that issue despite being on the highest vertical setting with any degree forward or back. I have tried the forward passenger seat on both cars and I felt my RX felt like so much more of a pleasant experience. They really are almost identical performance wise; however, the Radiant Crossover is a much more serene experience, especially behind the wheel, than the Nimble Crossover. It's really about the feeling of gliding with comfort and luxury that defines the RX, while the NX is more there to provide the same performance rather than the feel. It's more about the craftsmanship that separates the two models.
I own the RX (loaded). I've looked the NX over and it just looks 'cheaper', small, and less elegant. I'm not looking for a sporty ride. I want comfort and luxury. I especially do not like the small turbo engine. It just means higher maintenance and repairs or outright failure down the road. The V6 is much better for luxury Lexus cars.
Test drove both back to back. Money not an issue. NX looked better to my wife and I. RX looked like a bloated version and NX like an athletic version. NX more nimble, better in parking lots. Space is so close we didn't notice. RX did have leg extension front seats we liked but couldn't get over the look of our bright red NX luxury package we ended up with. Also tested a loaded Rav4 and NX is soooooo much better hard to believe based on same platform

Understand that a fully loaded RX350h has ultra premium options, far beyond the options of the NX and you don’t need all that, especially with a hybrid, which is supposed to be efficient. You could get the luxury package or even just the base RX350h which has a lot of features and save a whack of money. I happen to think that it’s rarely worth it to get a fully loaded model unless you get it discounted.
The RX so overdone by now, in my opinion. Ya gots the money, and your not quite in wealthy luxury territory, and you don't know dit about vehicles, you grab the RX for the comfort and driving size. But to me, most with any practical understanding would know they could keep their NX for 10 years, and you don't feel like you're driving and parking kind of a bulky monster (Nissan Murano, anyone?) in and around your city & suburbs.

I feel like the RX will be obsolete once the TX rolls out. The TX does everyone better than the RX with more cargo room, passenger space, power engine, and similar mpg due to hybrid. The NX will be more suitable for people looking for a vehicle in that segment and is more affordable than the RX.
Not everyone wants a vehicle that big though. A TX is SIGNIFICANTLY larger than an RX. Plus it’s kind of bland/ generic while the RX is more distinct and elegant

I own a 2023 NX450h+ Luxury, and I had an RX-350 given as a loaner. It was nice, but I truly missed my NX. I would not buy an RX. Also, be honest, the NX has run-flat tires which are louder than the tires on the RX which does have a spare. The NX is an amazing vehicle!
Generally, the reason to step up to the RX was a more powerful and smoother V6 drivetrain. With all Lexus SUVs essentially now coming with the same drivetrain, I have a hard time understanding why anyone would buy an RX. Seems now, you either buy the NX, or the TX if you need the third row, and the RX is left out there floating in no man's land.
Yes, and also should’ve stuck with regular door handles inside and out and kept physical buttons for many functions like my Rav4 Prime has. Oh, Lexus also should’ve included a spare tire like my Rav4 Prime has and ditched run flat tires.
Was trying to decide ended up buying the NX F Sport It’s a good size for me coming from a Jeep so I am happy and I was able to get all the options with the lower priced base model
I think some of it boils down to the looks of these two vehicles. The NX exterior is sportier than the RX, but the RX interior is a little nicer. I don't think it's fair though to use the F-Sport when comparing to the RX in the comfort category since the F-Sport's ride is a little firmer.
I like Lexus but it’s too old fashioned for me. Like it’s for old people not a hot young bootylicious thang like me! Get me that Bimmer or Mercedes and you might be lucky to get a bite of this donk!!!
See lots of BMW's and Mercedes broke down at side of road. NEVER see a LEXUS . . . Lots of stats say B's are prone to failure and high maintenance costs .... same with Benz. What's the point in looking great if it hammers your time and wallet?
@@ThePrevious1234 but there’s a difference. Genesis doesn’t reuse Hyundai economy car platforms. Lexus however does. Their platforms trace their roots all the way down to a Camry and rav4. So you’re constantly reminded of it’s economy car roots from behind The wheel

I have both: 21 RX 350 and 24 NX 350, in regards to driving experience, NX is smoother and with nicer interior design

I just bought a 2024 NX350 Fsport for my wife we traded our 2016 RX350. The MSRP was 51.800 a RX 350 F sport was 10k more for the same package.

My wife got the nx which i love, the only down side for me is the engine for what it is rated at, i find it to be very lazy....
