Immigration is capitalism importing an over supply of labour in, which is a race to the bottom particularly for the working class. Oligarchs love immigration.
Capitalism will never invest in training or increase pay and conditions if it can just fly in labour. Back in the day even Bernie Sanders was anti immigration.

So how exactly do the "independent" pay review body say that one section of the workforce gets so much more than another. a) there are less barristers to consider for a pay rise meaning its less output for the gov, rising pay 15% would be less than raising nurses wages by 5% if you consider the amount of workers involved in both industries.
    b) barristers were on an indefinite strike meaning the situation to consider their pay was critical to ease the tension on court proceedings.
    c) its a little callous to suggest that nurses "are more important" than barristers. They're two industries which need critical attention and the tories have made it their clear goal to do as little as humanly possible to support the NHS.
