@@grantssmartrepairs Sure it will be a great car when finished, you been lucky finding one like that, polly bushed, interior in good nick, engine has no major leaks,
That looks really clean, starting to see a few Cossy's coming out of the woodwork that have been stored 10+ years might have something to do with there values going up. I'm also following somebody else on youtube that has just got hold of a 3 door cossie as well.

Fantastic car this. I've loved Sierra Sapphire Cosworths ever since seeing Jimmy Nail drive one in the police drama series 'Spender' in the early 90's as a kid. This one is very much like the Cossie from the first series (bar the 4x4 bonnet of course) Great find 😊

Agree with you just want to flog a Cosworth when you drive it especially on a test drive, worked as a ford tech they are pretty straight forward to work on mechanically. Good to see them coming back on the road after the crazy insurance premuims that put them of the road
Nice find, and good call on the cam belt! And when changing the belt, be sure to use the correct TDC mark, some times I have seen the ignition mark used and the valves can touch the pistons if the head has been decked couple of times. Its a common mistake to make.
I do remember the moment my parents bought their first and only foreign-made imported car in 1995 which was a 1985 two-door Sierra hatchback. That was the only such a car in the area we lived in. The car was simply amazing with its lowered body design and round shapes. Despite its age and odometer reading (like 500 000+ km) it ran as fast as hell....I still recall that car.
Another Cozzy getting back on the road! Love it. I have a 35,000 mile 4x4 in the garage, I will be following this with interest! All the best with the restoration mate!🍻

Might be wrong as I couldn’t see it properly but has it had a new off side wing, I couldn’t make out the factory spot welds. I like watching old ford videos.
Nice find looks like it had a slam panel on the front that's why there over spray on the air box you can tell by the welds plus off side quarter panel had a big repair but most cars on the road in that year are fucked so good find
Not took much notice of the slam panel but yes it’s had work for sure once we sorted the mechanics out we will give it a good scrub and go from there💪💪💪

I love watching things being saved from going to scrap or landfill. Not just cars, but also electrical goods and computers, which can then be sold on eBay for a lot of money.
