Great to see you got it running. That ride basically look like us riding in TX last week. Thankfully our temps weren’t that low and our snow wasn’t that deep.

@@didierandresromeroaguilar3769 I torque monster 👿 I loved my predator beast!!!! I had a white brothers pipe and razor 2 tires with racing air filter thing was seriously bad ass!! I would pin that thing around corners is was like 55 inches wide stock

It's amazing that something invented in 1934 (Wax Thermostatic Element) is still being used virtually unchanged today, simple-reliable and it just works.

You'll have to flush it quite a few times to get all the water out. In order to change the water pump seal you have to split the crank case. it goes in from the rear.

I think with it still running I would quite right now and trailer it and take it home and put a for sale sign on it and send it down the road I think it will be a money pit and you would spend more time working on it ?

I noticed that it had an aftermarket cdi box on it. You will want to get rid of that as soon as possible. The only 2 aftermarket cdis worth running are a Vortex or Dynatek and you'll be lucky to find one of those. You appear to have an 03 model so try an find a oem one for that year, a 04 cdi will work too. The 05+ models are different.
You seem to know a lot about them, I think I have a 06 LE but I’m not sure. How can I tell?

Other than the tiny bit of blue smoke. She is a ripper,!!!! Put some 92 octane and then run a 104 octane booster with it help clean it out, I just got done with 2 1/2 feet of snow from the storm you got hit with, was impossible to ride in crushed my garage!!!
You should get a outlaw 525 or a Honda 700xx it is a BEAST!!
As long as the cooling fan comes on, it wont overheat. The fan will come on with optimum temp to allow the cooler water to go into the engine to cool it down.

The key keeps shearing because the starter is running through it. That key is WAY too small for all that torque. I think the lapping of the crank/flywheel will help tremendously. Great job on that quad.
What do you mean by the starter is running through it?
@@ChristianHelser999 starter putting very quick immediate torque on and then off of the flywheel repeatedly.

Couldn't agree more 👍. I've owned my fair share of all the honda 250s and the 2000/2001 is a great bike. Had many 02-07 3rd generations as well.

look into the cdi,my atv would just shut off randomly all summer and I replaced the cdi and it ran fine and never shuts off

It has a black box by vortex, that's a quality cdi
Find a MBTX9U battery. It's the largest battery that will still fit in the predator battery box. It's tall but still fits.

Hey you did a great job fixing that basket case of a Polaris but sell it now before something breaks on it stick with hondas easy to fix and can't kill them 👍

the fan coming on does not mean it overheated.... lol... its is probably a bit lean though so it will make it run a little hotter

just a tip for ya if thermostat failed meaning stay closed engine would not have coolant right? you're over thinking this one, cause it's not that easy seal haha come to find out you were right in the first place. i don't watch your channel for education well i've i mean you have'nt had that "one that is different than all problems'' yet. You have lots of knowledge and are very bright. so it's never a ? Will it run? haha keep doing that dam thing you do cause you're very good at it my 2cents says you'll be a master tech soon and move to engineering. love the vids sir so keep them fresh. sorry please?
