Car hauling is the dream trucker job. His numbers are right for a beginner driver. It really gets crazy with your own authority. How much money you make depends how many friends you make.
Semi Truck Driver I agree you’re gonna go broke trying to make a car hauling contract work as a solo driver on a ELD truck. There’s just way too many variables and you screw up a lot more when you’re tired.
Alex always finding the niche in trucking, is amazaing how many ways you and rvt let people know how to make.six figures basically .buying a truck ,leasing your truck to a company , having your own authority, oil fields, now car hauling and of course moving furniture seems like the onky holding anyone back is their mindset and drive. I made 55k to 60k my first year of trucking with United Road for local and regional work. I was never out for more than 2 days. The money is great in car hauling. But for me, loading cars in the snow got too dangerous. Great vid Mai !!!!
@@MuthaTrucker it's a good gig especially for o/o....but as a company man the problem is the slow money and dangers of winter, and how some companies handle the inevitable small damages that will happen when loading and unloading vehicles. The lightest scratch/dent can ruin your day and your paycheck.
It's good information. I chose car hauling because it's hands on rain, snow or shine making it one of the hardest jobs so only the highest committed drivers will stay. That means no worries about another driver snatching my job. It's tough work....come and get it, no one will fight for it. ;)

I am now retired after 30+ years of driving. Mostly Bed Bugging and Car Hauling. I spent 5 years with United Road. Income was better in the 90s when car hauling was mostly unionized. iin my opinion most new drivers do not want to be Car Haulers because it is a lot of physical work. However you dont see too many overweight car haul drivers.
As long as you go slow and dont drive up your ramps like your in a race car I wouldn't say its dangerous at all. During loading and unloading though it is very strenuous a lot of up and down, a lot of pushing and pulling with ramps and ratchet straps, a lot of back and forth from one side or end of the trailer to another, up and down ladders. The dangerous part would be more related to actual driving and making sure you are aware of your height limitations, but that goes with all forms of trucking not just car hauling.
