SURPRISE! When he pulls them all down off the wall! Spectacular!
I think you got a great deal on that Santa Fe War Bonnet set, Zach. It now has a really just-like-new appearance and runs smoothly. You given this gem a well deserved 2nd life on your fantastic layout. A real winner!
Zach, I’m very impressed with your work. Great job! What is the size of your layout and are the three tracks interconnected? Love that Santa Fe red bonnet.Always wanted one when I was a kid
Outstanding DETAILS ABOUT YOUR ENGINES ARE VERY USEFUL FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR ENGINES LIKE THOSE LIKE YOU SAID IT'S ABOUT TIME POST WAR RUNNING SESSION MADE MY DAY WELCOME BACK
Welcome back,can't beat a f3 engine.
Great video! I really enjoyed the quick description of your interest in the engine, your discussion of your "collection" your description of its acquisition and "tune up." But what I liked most was the way you brought all of that to a grand finale by running all four beauties at the same time.
Thank you!
A smooth runner with a lot of pep still left in her. And they look terrific. A salute to your lucky find. Thanks Zach
Thank you James! Salute! 🥃🍻
Enjoyed watching your Santa Fe f3's running. Gotta love the postwar Lionel's. I think the postwar engines will start rebounding in value, easy and cheap to work on.
You can never get wrong with Santa fe engine
Hello Zac; Lackawanna John , What a amazing video of your Santa Fe war Bonnet engine's when you put on all 4 Santa Fe, back in 1950 to 1960 Lionel sold more Santa Fe engines then any other engine's ever. Again great video Zac. Lackawanna John.
Run them post war beauties Zach!
You did well again. Congratulations!
Enjoy
Thanks Henry!! Salute! 🥃🍻
Excellent trains and layout. Obviously Santa Fe is my favorite! Lol
Thank you for sharing.
Awesome find buddy. I'm jealous, that was great deal! Good to see you back
This layout is awesome , NICEEEEEEEEEE.
Just great .
Mike Espo.
F3s are my favorite post war engines really like your trainroom
Nice buy Zak! They look Great after the detail job! Layout looks amazing. Love the channel........
You can't beat the classics!
That was an AWESOME run of the F-3s. All the painstaking time you spent laying your track and making sure the connections were good for power sure paid off. The engines all ran smooth and solid. The 2383s were in stores when I was a kid, I drooled over them in the glass counters, but was never blessed with them. Santa thought I should GI Joes and a very bottom of the line Lionel set from 1965. Still fun, just not the bright red and silver war bonnet. Your videos are always fun to watch and may you and your wife have a very Happy New Year.
Thank you Rob! Happy new year to you and your family as well! Salute! 🍻🥃 never did get into the GI Joes. I know they can get pretty pricey/desirable though!
I’m also looking for a set of The 2383s too. Even though it never came with a b-unit, the 2243 b-unit makes a great substitute
2383s are my favorites. I like the black side frames and vertical motors.
Great to see those Santa FE F 3'S running! ESPECIALLY because they are all postwar Lionel!
Don't have train shows & model railroad hobby shops were I live.
all these awesome trains screams mastercard!
🤣😂 Not yet!! Might have to get one if I make it up to York this year though!
Hope you had a good vacation Zach.
Nice video as usual. Thanks for sharing
Great video, I love the war bonnets.
Strohs! Very cool as always and a Grand Salute!
🥃🍻
There's nothing like the grunt of a dual motor postwar F3. It had to be deafening with all 4 running at once. The only time bleeding ears are a good thing. Lol.
Great video Zach, really like the locomotive and the Pacemaker freight cars. So cool! 👍
200 is a steal
Very nice!!
Zack.....As always nice run secession .
Awesome deal Zack! Me saying NO to postwar Santa Fe F3s is like saying NO to a bacon double meat cheeseburger!
LOL 😂 🤣 I hear you! Am the same way too!
Back a third time to watch this 😁
Love the trailer park boys clips
Nice to see a new postwar addition!
You can also use bell wire for the wire connecting the motors, plus they're also color-coded the same way as the original wires are.
For the horn, try spraying a shot or two of contact cleaner inside the horn and tap it all around with the back of a screwdriver. The diaphragm could just be stiff from not flexing for a while.
Thanks!
Love this video, got a great deal on those engines, love those War Bonnets
Thank you!
I can go to a train show and come home empty handed. I am that particular on what I want. Especially since my train shelves are more or less full.
What is it about the WB paint scheme that's so appealing? Seeing all 4 of your motive-power-units running at once was such a great sight; thanks for that! Gratz on getting that last piece; she's a beaut!!!
Thanks Clyde!! Definitely something magical about that great Warbonnet paint job!
Zach, loved this latest video! Glad to see your ATSF F series collection nearing completion. Absolutely stunning work done with the layout these past few years. Happy New Year!
Thank you! Happy New Year! 🎆
@@CountryBunkersTrains hey Zack welcome back the new Santa Fe diesels engine looks really good keep it up
Now to Find your to do or get List and Work on that.
Wow. $200 for those is a steal. I started postwar collecting in 2011. Prices definitely were higher then. I too would be very pleased with those, especially for $200.
I remember goin on the 2nd day of a Train show and I do know how it is I have a Show coming up in Feb Going to get some track for the Wife then Her N scale will Be Complete.
Very nice I’m sorry I missed you at the show this past weekend. I’m building a new layout presently with O gauge and n scale it should be different
Zack SALUTE great video those engines are truly amazing I enjoy working on mine even though Im an N scaler but its part of the hobby that I find stress free and very enjoyable and then getting to see them run on your layout is even more rewarding its part of this wonderful hobby GOD BLESS ZACK HAPPY RAILROADING ;-)
Awesome looking mint locomotives 🚂 extraordinary layout and collection
Thank you Eric!
Yay more postwar
I pretty much run only postwar trains and my layout is set up to essentially only run them
I did get lucky with month between a train show and my local hobby shop so I was able to add the 2329, 2338 and a 746
Nice!! Congrats on the new acquisitions!
Nice video Bunkers
Love what you are doing. I'm moving to a new place where I can I have my large dream layout. Hell all I need is 500 feet of living space. The rest a huge layout. I live 20 minutes from Deland show but I never find anything to buy. I do enjoy it. I would have been there today but I had to work to make train money! The thing about postwar I don't like is you have to run them fast because they have poor low speed performance.
Nice! Congrats on the new place! Even better getting to build that big layout! Yea, the Deland shows do usually seem to not have a lot. The couple Jacksonville shows left have been the same way…. makes me miss the shows up north but makes it easier in the wallet! LOL
Nothing like the postwar Santa Fe's. You did a great job on the maintenance, smooth runner. Thanks for sharing always a pleasure to check in on what's new on the layout. Oh, and Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year Larry! Thank you!
Rays rails 797 horn repair works grate and easy
I think it's cool, going back to conventional now and then. Kind of mixes it up a little.
Woah, thats a lot of warbonnet Santa Fe.
Great to hear from ya Zack 😄, nice looking set of Santa Fe F’s👍, (I need to get on the horn and get myself a set of them too.🤗) All of the Santa Fe’s look great running on your layout, the N&W Y nice start to the vid 👍, you take care of yourself Zack, see ya 👋😎🛤🚂
Cool
Oh you know It Zac.
Zach, welcome back and Happy New Year to you and your family. Love the new engines. Keep the videos coming. SR
Thank you! Happy New Year!
YOUR LAYOUT IS TRULY AMAZING AS WELL KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ;-)
Thank you for the kind words Carl!! Salute!! 🥃🍻glad you enjoyed it! And I agree! They are fun and relaxing to work on!
Nice video Zach! Nice pick up on the 2383s. The inserted comical videos added to the overall presentation quite nice lol! I liked the full 4 tracks of Sante Fe running at one time Zach!
Thanks Glenn! I got a kick out of those myself 🤣😂
Great find. I would have jumped on that bargain also. I bet it felt good to run all them post war girls!
It did! Very therapeutic! Happy New Year!
That's way too many warbonnet Fs in freight service. Time to send them to the Cleburne chop shop.
where did you get that bridge work wow looks great
I have the O27 version from 1956. Unfortunately it only has one motor!! :(
You have some of the nicest collection of post war F3 and Alco engines. Having those who needs anything else?
Thanks Gene!
Nice. Is that the MTH signal bridge? My lights look just like yours on video. I found out on accident if I record at a lower frame rate they look great on video. Keep up the awesome content!
Thanks John! Yes, that’s the MTH signal bridge. I still got as finish wiring it up and get the other side working. They seem to be getting hard to find.
Cool I’m glad you payed $200 for these 2383s here! Btw I hope you have an awesome 2023 as well for me it’s kinda tryin. Btw what song there is at the end just curious? Btw Salute 🍻
Thank you! Salute! 🥃🍻 hopefully the year continues to get better! I’ll have to look for the song. It’s one that UA-cam offers users to use with no copyright laws.
Thanks for sharing!!! Enjoyed the video!!! Hey, do you use that Clean and Shine on passenger cars?? Take Care.
Thanks Joe! Yes sir! I use it wherever I can. Big fan of the stuff. It’s getting hard to find locally though. Luckily it’s still online
