wow, havnt heard this in a while. brings back memories. reminds me of when i was little. i used to spin around the room singing to this song. makes me think of my older sister. i miss her.
My new favorite song. How could I have missed this beautiful song and video. Marcy Playground you are my new favorite group. I've not heard a bad song by you guys.
This was instantly one of my favorite songs. I fell in love with the first album as soon as I heard Poppies. Then when I heard this song I was like, "OMG these guys are good! He's a freaking poet!" They can make real music and don't need a drummer to cover up their chords.
for some reason, i find all of their songs very sad, "sex and candy" being the sole exception...this song has always been one of my favorites...thank you so much for posting the video!
I just bought their album at a best buy a week and a half ago. Well, rebought. The original one I had got fucking stolen. And now, I have it back. I'm reliving my 90's music childhood :) And my god, do I love this song!
Ditto!! Hopefully that will soon change. New album coming out July 7th. People don't realize how good there 2nd and 3rd albums are. Most underrated band ever.
i remember when i was in 7th grade my substitute teacher busted out a yearbook with the lead guy in it. i also remember learning how to play sex and candy at the time. now that i think about it must've been funny to watch me, a 12 or 11 year old kid sing that song.
actually its named after his old girfriend...Sherry Fraser. She and her brother helped him record his first album in his bedroom lol. no joke. i really like the laid back sound they had but they were kinda a "one-hit-wonder"
i heard sex and candy and i htought they were morel ike that but they weren't they were actually alot better then i thought love this song along with many others
My last name is now Skidmore, but my maiden name was Fraser and my first name, Sheri... When this song came out I thought it was really cool..., but very weird since it was my name
watever u say...everyone of their songs sound the same. he strums some chords and sings while the drummer hits his skins. lol i just read that on wikipedia so idk
Only a one hit wonder to the common music idiots, they have a pretty big following actually. On tour right now with an album out July 7th. "Leaving Wonderland.....in a fit of rage" All the tunes on here "goodtimes" "starbaby" etc check them out
Sherry took a long break from her band Two Ton Boa, but she's back playing now. Oh, also Marcy Playground covered Two Ton Boa's "Comin' Up From Behind". Not nearly as good as the original version.
fallen around your head....that what he said shark is like the singer for offspring when he says the world wants wannabeis or w/e it was sounds like he said the world wants on eyed pizza
rocknroll is all about moving your fingers as fast as you can on the chords.. any metalhead can tell you that ! :) for maximum rocknroll effect you must practice until you cant even see your own hand with the naked eye. :)))) (viva death! viva Thurston!)

im glad they're coming back. it was kinda sad thinking my favorite band died in the 90's so glad there back and they're new cd is amazing
this is seriously one of the most underrated bands from the 90's. So fucking good!
I used to listen to this song all the time when i was younger. it reminded me of my older sister so much.

this song encapsulates my perception of the band...a random, blissful journey of nothingness, yet a great journey none the less

loved this band in middle school
This is such a chill sweet song!
I love MP, the are really talented. It's a shame they didn't get the recognition that they deserved.

I like this song, it is even more special to me because my brother is in this video, he is the guy diving into the dirt chasing the girl.
Wow I remember these guys, always thought they were boring and not for me.
The Sherry Fraser in question is the lead singer of Two Ton Boa, who are brilliant.
I totally agree. Their freshman album was underrated and gone unnoticed. I used to listen to it all the time ohh some 7 years ago. =)
Sherry Fraser is in Two Ton Boa. She rocks!
this is a wonderful song way underrated.
Man, this is the saddest freaking song ever. But so good...
wow what a good song. Makes me think of the girl who should of been my one and only!
this song is called sherry fraser.
it is actually about his sister who was given
up fpr adoption.never saw her again.sad story
Reminds me of my first love.
I love this fucking song. The album this was on was incredible.
Awesome song, I love it!
@KierThe90s i agree and what kind of gangster would ever listen to this kind of music
This is most definitely about his ex-girlfriend. She helped him create the first Marcy Playground album. She is now the lead singer of Two Ton Boa.
chill song, and awesome video
this song makes me think of the girls i couldve ended up with but didnt and now regret it. great song whatever it actually means.
i love dizz song.!!!
Personally, I think "Never" is the best song by this group.
i remember when i was in 7th grade my substitute teacher busted out a yearbook with the lead guy in it.
i also remember learning how to play sex and candy at the time. now that i think about it must've been funny to watch me, a 12 or 11 year old kid sing that song.
I hesitated to listen to this, because I knew what it was about and I figured it'd be sort of cheesy and sappy...
It's really not. I like it.
so Sherry Fraser is now a lead vocal of the band Two Ton Boa. =)
i never believe people who say they know these people personally.
me too =). thanks so much for putting up.
actually its named after his old girfriend...Sherry Fraser. She and her brother helped him record his first album in his bedroom lol. no joke.
i really like the laid back sound they had but they were kinda a "one-hit-wonder"

You're so right!!

the self titled album was by far the best
although i really do like how you can see their evolution from Marcy Playground to MP3
i heard sex and candy and i htought they were morel ike that but they weren't they were actually alot better then i thought love this song along with many others

Of course it's good. It's Marcy Playground, chump!
Only a one hit wonder to the common music idiots, they have a pretty big following actually. On tour right now with an album out July 7th. "Leaving Wonderland.....in a fit of rage" All the tunes on here "goodtimes" "starbaby" etc check them out
great song*
right on 2004
very good band....i think they may have been a one hit wonder because I think their music could have been too early for some. Many good songs
this video is a lil normal compared to Sex and Candy, but that song and vid kicks ass!?!?!?!
if you want an original sounding band check out
"the canon logic"
Sherry Fraser and Wozniak didn't get married. He's married to someone else and they have like a kid or two.
I saw starts falling all around her head

bsb dont be stupid she is in a band herself look her up on wiki i forget the bandsname but yea
i wonder if he ever found her...
Sherry took a long break from her band Two Ton Boa, but she's back playing now.
Oh, also Marcy Playground covered Two Ton Boa's "Comin' Up From Behind". Not nearly as good as the original version.
@bu11seye666 first of all this song is fucking awesome...also why even comment if you dont like it?
fallen around your head....that what he said shark is like the singer for offspring when he says the world wants wannabeis or w/e it was sounds like he said the world wants on eyed pizza
