I gave geometry numbers in S3 as that is a "medium". You must have missed the weight 7:42 where I call out the frame size of the bike in video and thus show it to be a S4 as that is indeed the size of the frame.
Basically is an enduro bike, I've got a load of spesh bikes was guna get this but it's seriously heavy, 16 odd kilos. Can get a scott enduro kilo n half lighter, this is a heavy trail bike.
@@High_Octane although i just remembered this but the instinct can be overforked to 170 mm and you can get a shock with a longer stroke to increase rear travel to around 150 mm
@@drownedgod Right! Luckily where I live 140/150 is the winning ticket and is exactly the golden ratio in my opinion. I rode the 130.130 Thunderbolt here for years and always thought that was really good. we have no rocks on our trails here and mild roots so 140/150 is a dream.
As an owner of the cheapest model of SJ i can tell you it attracts a lot of looks...i don't even like the attention..for some reason people like it...especially kids :) when i pass by the kids just stare at the bike like they are hypnotized....i can't explain it ... i think it looks cool but not that cool....at first I didnt' care much for the looks but with time it kind of starts to look better :)
I love the Slacker!
Bought frame only size s5 and with my "shits" (deore m6100 plus yari in front) was 16.2kg with my old wheels.
Cool! My Verb weighs 32lbs. So? Can you make more travel with the rear suspension? I can't on my Verb. But can on my Iron Horse 🤠.
Yikes I’m glad I went to the expert in carbon. 37 is a monster. I am scared to know what this weighs in s5 😅
Hi, you mentioned it' size S3 but it seems to be S4, right?

@@Jamesthebikeguy Yeah, I missed that note at the end, thanks. It is just a bit confusing saying "here, in a size S3..." while showing S4 bike 🙂
That is heavy!!!!
My 2022 Evo Comp Alloy in an S2 weight is 33lbs. Also my stem is FACTORY 35mm not 31.8mm. the rise in my bars are 30mm. Just sayin'.
Yikes that is heavy. Basically a full blown Enduro bike

37 lbs? Wow
Damn that thing weighs almost as much as my levo SL!!! Nope😂
My Rocky Mountain Instinct literally can lol
Well to be fair you need shocks and a shock mount. But trail and enduro use same frame set.
not the alloy version tho :( at least the ride 9 gets it pretty slack

I am not a fan of the side bar look. It just looks kinda stupid and would prefer equal parts on each side of rear shock.

Yeah, it'd look so much cleaner without that bar
My guess was YES. Still looking a little weird to me.
People who have this bike...does it feel heavy to you guys at 37 pounds?
Not really it feels like good not very heavy when ur riding
Yes it feels heavy
Its okay I still ride long distances with it. Condition instead of carbon.
Got ya. I got some Maxxis Race Rekons 2.4 by 29 on it and it feels nice tbh.
@@MP19861Isnt that a XC tire? Is it still good for enduro type stuff?
