Awesome! we love racing the ho cars on our polycar track they run so much smoother and we never hit each other off in the turns like we used to on the ho track! check our slot car channel out BS Slot Cars
There’s a slot car scene around here. There’s guys who take hot wheels bodies and put em on chassis, and then there’s also 1/24 slot car drag racing. My buddy is really getting into those he’s built a 67 chevelle and a 67 nova and a 55 Chevy all from scratch using vintage model bodies. I’d love to get into slot cars too but don’t have the time or money to do it
Thanks, You must see our new slot car channel so much over there now! BS Slot Cars check out the playlists I just updated this method in a new video a few days ago!
Wow you shared your great way to get the ho scale cars flying! I really have to try that and I like the Autoworld ones to try first. That means I actually will have 1/32,1/24, HO and 1/43 scales all running on my Carrera 1/24 scale track. I have been very impressed with the scx compact cars and of course the carrera go cars that zip around the track with great control possible. Thanks again for opening my eyes to how to expand this great hobby even further!🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
This is soooo tempting! Are you watching Auto World AFX? Your track is the wrong size. Even for “racing magnets”. (Cars stuck to the track) The Flex 6000 glue at Hobby Lobby checkout stands stays flexible. Instead of CA? I can see with the Super Snake you actually have to slow down and speed up. Thanks Steve, very informative.
(Are you watching Auto World AFX?) Our first AFX track was nice but we only could run ho slot cars and they really don't fit on the track it's to narrow you always hit together and got knocked off not from your driving but from the cars being only mm apart and it made racing feel fake because half the time you fell off due to the track being to narrow for the scale of the cars, imagine if the 1/32 scale tracks were made like ho you would never be able to race them big cars at all being as close together as how they are on AFX track... If I was only into HO and did not have the $ to buy a good viper or one of those style tracks I would 100% go with the carrera go track it's much more narrow than what I have and would be the perfect ultimate cheap ho track and it can be placed in almost the same area size needed to set up a normal afx track. You can use the goop type glue also but it will take a long time to cure but probably would work awesome.. same as the glue you spoke of so that will work too. All I know it's more fun being able to run more scale cars on one track than just being stuck with one.. Thanks for watching.
@@ShenRC Ok, darn it Steve. Your gonna make me look at some Go layout sizes. I will at least look. The HO is tucked away in my office, so its always a good temp. I have room in the garage for 1/32, but I would have to clean things up and get organized. I like putting that off. Apparently. Less click clack is appealing tho. The wheels are turning.
Hey there! I got my Reddy Straws in the mail yesterday. Can you please give me a cutting measurement that will work on my HO cars please? Then I can make a jig like you did. Thanks!
Hi your carrera track has a much shallower slot in the track I would just put one on a ho car and place it on a section of your carrera track and make the straw so it will be just a couple mm from hitting the bottom of your carrera tracks slot. should be easy. once you make it right you can make a jig. 👍👍
I just subscribed to your channel lots of cool tricks you got going there has anyone brought up the use on the old Eldon track from the 60s? and how did their cars handle it thanks
Thanks but you need to sub to our new slot car channel so much going on over there! BS Slot Cars I have a playlist on how to make cars run on the larger scale tracks.
Thanks they go so much better on the larger scale tracks! Also I have a power supply video up on our New Slot car channel everything's happening over there! go check it out and sub! BS Slot Cars
Interesting on the HO cars, I have just purchased some for a dragstrip. I acquired during Black Friday. Let’s talk about that JRX2, is that original? It’s hard to tell whether it’s the one 10th or the new mini.
Cool! I love how the HO cars run on my policar 1/32 scale track, they go so much smoother. That is the mini version of the losi JRX2 👍👍Thanks for watching and please sub our new slot car channel BS Slot Cars
Great Video! I have a Carrara GO track and was considering Mega G+ cars. I have tried some Life Like cars on the Carrera track but they do not seem to work. I suspect that they may require more amperage than the Carrera GO power system has to offer, but I'm not sure. Have you ever tried a Life Like car on your track (although your system probably has more amps to offer)? Do you think if I ordered some Mega G+ cars that they would work on the Carrera GO track? I think that the Carrera GO cars just draw about 200 milliamps. Any idea how many milliamps the Mega G+ cars draw? Thank you for your input!
Hi first off Please sub to our new slot car channel BS slot cars, And about your cars and power the ho cars run on anyware from 18 to 22V I think your supply is only 14.8V why the cars may not move to fast. also with the afx mega G+ cars they run with a 120ohm controller so your best bet to run all scales of slot cars on your track would be buy a adjustable switching power supply they have some that are 5 amps for like 30 something bucks. and get a adjustable electronic controllers so you can run and fine tune any car with it, I suggest the OS3 ho lite controller. Hope this helps.
Converted my HO Scale Slot Cars to my Carrera 4 Lane Track. Man I love racing my HO Scale on my track.. Thanks!

Thank you, please sub to our new slot car channel BS Slot Cars!
Great video!! Now I'm curious on how the Auto World cars run on that track without the Ultra-G (round) magnet!
Thanks, they would probably run real nice without that neo magnet in the rear for sure!

Show us how you pull the longer lasting battery into the Tracer Racers lap counter. Thanks.
Seems fairly simple and effective mods! I was wondering how you guys managed to get so many types running around the same big track!
Thanks, real easy to do and great to have more scales running on your track.

Could I run a Carrera Mario Kart 1:43 on an HO track?
Hi I am pretty sure you can't. Thanks for looking.
Chinese modern HO Slot cars (AGM, Jupiter) are already made to 1/32 slot tracks, hehehe.
I seen those they are cute but they don't run nothing like the real HO slot cars on this 1/32 scale track though.
Will this modification work on Carrera go track?
Hi yes it will, check out our new slot car channel BS Slot Cars
