I recently got into slot cars and I’ve bought all of these cars you are reviewing. Question, can the plastic guide pin be swapped out to metal on the extraction cars. All of mine came this way and they get hung up on everything same with the 4gear cars. I don’t understand why they have the plastic they seem like junk.
@ thanks Dan! I’m doing well. Just about to get my new track set up. I’ll have some video soon. Pretty excited about this one. 4 lanes breaks off into two 2 lane and comes back to 4. L shaped table with an upper deck for the split. Can’t wait to show this setup off.
ya That day I was at a friends place and we were looking at his 510. By the time I had noticed it , it was already live. I made comments about the mistake in the video info!
I LOVE the pancake motor. That's what we had as kids and I personally feel you can do more with the chaise. Pancake race against pan cake. Not a fair race against inline motors.
Make sure to get as many of the newer GT40 line as possible cause their price will go up soon! And don't forget lvl42 downforce magnets so you can enjoy the racing not the chasing!!! Thanks for watching Mike!
In my experience, 4Gear whoops over all my Xtractions as far as straight up speed. Also, stays on the track way better as you said. Wish they offered it with the Flamethrowers (light up headlamps) option. Yes, they're longer so they shouldn't handle as well, but I find for the inexperienced, it's easier to go faster around the track because of this.
I raced slot cars as a youngster. We used to rewind the motor armatures for more speed. Can these armatures be rewound? Possibly different higher performance motors?
The stock X-Traction cars that I had kept going off track with my grandkids going full throttle. I kept the AW bodies but bought some Jag Hobbies NC-2 GT & TR3 chassis. They are more planted chassis. With the AW variable power supply at it's lowest & the kids pressing full speed, they don't fly off much.
So im getting back into it because I loved it as a kid. Now if I get an HO set like Auto World or AFX Track are the cars interchangeable? Or is it proprietary?
It's hard for me to make these kind of videos cause I really believe at this time AFX has some pretty amazing products, including the new Ford GT Heritage's that are here and will be available any day now. Gold and Red are the 2 cars! But I just look at the chassis as I see it in that moment and describe it!
I have an original t-jet track and the steel pins do not work well at all. They suck. I replace all of them with a screw and plastic pin. Autoworld makes a nice looking car but they need work to make them run nice.
There is 2 tracks. 1 - the urban track is a 4 lane on the inner area. 8'x10' 2 - the super speedway is 2 lanes. 8.5'x11' For the most part I have a power supply for each and every lane. AFX power packs
@@slotvalleyracing Good info on that. I have Tyco tracks from multiple set purchases over the years with some cars, no room to build a layout is my challenge. From time to time, I'll set up a small track with bridges and turns off the top and run a few cars for a couple of laps and store it away. I've been looking at the new AFX products and they're doing an awesome job with the new cars and track sets. I might just be tempted at some point in buying a big set of an AFX track and slowly build another collection of cars with it. It's a fun hobby to begin with if you're a true motorhead and it's nice to see your channel pique the interest of the hobby back when it was fun to just go window shop for new track sets and cars. I'll be looking for more of your good content in the future👍
I have a full Horsepower shootout set minus the cars if you are interested? I bought the set for the cars only. Check out my review of the set and get back to me
What scale is the Ford GT 40? If the Barracuda is that small compared to a GT 40, one of he two is horribly out of scale. Is scale not important in HO racing? I come from the 1/32 world, thinking of downsizing. But, if scale is that off and unimportant, then I will pass on HO.

This is a good video but those cars all suck. Magnet cars are for people who can't drive or build cars, and painted bodies get scratched to easily. The build quality of all those cars is pretty bad too. Again im not bashing the video. I'm bashing the cars .

Most metal guide pins for HO scale will fit AW cars
It's Sunday AUG 27 and I will be going LIVE tonight at 7pm cst. If I see you on I can show you.

Nice!.. But I love my vintage Tyco 440x2’s & Life Like’s 👍🏻✨
Im a huge fan of the 440x2
That Datsun looks like a Z. The 510 is a boxier shaped sedan. I owned both when they were released in the 1970.
Very nice video.

Or Fairlady Z if you were in Japan

Ah motor on GT40- did NOT know that-- love it too!
Thank for your support Mayor!
I have noticed that even on Aurora cars, open rivets are not as tight as closed rivets. Try to tighten those open rivets with a punch.

They sure can if you wanted to go that far!
Plan on putting up my ho slot cars track, also rebuild all my shocks on my crawlers, make sure all my lipo's are good....that's my plan...
Always good stuff thanks Dan

They need to learn how to drive the cars. Full throttle is not the way to drive.
Ho slot cars are making a comeback there is some great cars out there great video
It sure is!
Thank for watching @huggybear
Brian and His Son are Awesome. 🇺🇸
On those RaceMasters cars, can you eject the traction magnets? I eject the AW ones. Gravity racing at 12v is more realistic.
You can but are so light and too fast to drift
Where do you get your minature people? Buildings?
EBay and Amazon. I’m actually selling all of my little people if you are interested
So im getting back into it because I loved it as a kid. Now if I get an HO set like Auto World or AFX Track are the cars interchangeable? Or is it proprietary?
The cars and track are compatible.

Do you like the Racemaster cars? Can motor? Subscribed great site
Not a huge fan of the can motor but love the Shells!
Is it possible to put two guide pins in for more stability and and a magnet
no
I like the Batmobile but in original color blue or black but where can I find a dark bat mobile ? Thanks

As a collector, Protinkertoys.com was putting out some amazing stuff and the Batmobile looks great!
Do you own one?
Hi Dan, as always Fantastic video and track run. Thanks for the information and great video 👍🏁👍 Al

4 gears are great for drag racing. Plus they all are pretty sweet looking
nice layout

Autoworld cars are fast???
I see 4 tracks,or are there two track side by side.
That is correct
Give that 4 gear 16 volts and it will run fast and hold
I'm gonna run my Dragsters at 22v... It's pretty time!!!
What the dimensions of your track
10x13 and now I have a 17ft dragstrip on the front of it
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
is the ford gt40 a HO scale car? it looks huge next to the others
Sure is!
Tycos are actually wider. Strange how know body asks that!!

Does Auto World make good cars and tracks?
they make an ok product. for the cars its all about the look pretty much
wait till you get old Dan and you ll love tjets lol

My Question is how do you get the shoes off when you have to change them.🫥🤪🤪🤪
you take the shell off then pull the top of the shoe back and off of the little plastic nub that holds it on
