The ship in game files is called Beledar.
Interesting! Can't get them all 100% right, but the framework still stands on 'The Beledar's' role in this prediction for 11.2 then!
So Xalatath is very much like G'huun from BfA then. Fungal Old God. Decay. Spider and Leeches. - Also about the fish people attacking the Arathi. Remember the Old God Quote said. "The Fish know all the secrets. They know the cold."
Maybe! I'd like to think she could've been more aligned with a Void force before her demise, but then her decaying remains were what mixed up with Life from Elun'Ahir and result in a lot of fungal activity.
@@_xaxxas Definately could be. I think it could tie back into Uldir though, from BFA. The Titan-Watchers were studying Old Gods and happened to "create" an Old God, G'huun. Though if we listen to his quotes, his vastly different. Focusing on the Cosmos as a whole and not Azeroth solely. So, what if G'huun was created from what could've been Xalatath or some other Old-God that was destroyed? Also if we look at Uldir, it directly into a sink-hole too and we go down into the crust of Azeroth and lower.

Interestingly, the events of Dragonflight renewed Tyr's Hand as the order of five palladins following each virtue of the Light. Coincidence? Another fractal?
I wondered as well if it was possible that those five virtues/wisdoms of "Holiness, Protection, Justice, Retribution and Compassion" might pair to each of the supposed 5 Naaru. Those are probably the same virtues from the Tyr quest?
@@_xaxxas Hmm, they don't match completely: Travard, Captain of the Tyr's Guard; Nolaki, Exemplar of Sacrifice; Talthis, Exemplar of Order; Valunei, Exemplar of Compassion, and Hadwin, Exemplar of Justice.
As I went through the Tyr's questline, I was wondering, if we are building-up a new council-like boss for the future expansion. 🧐
@@apochrome Now that I think about it, the 5 for Tyr's Hand is probably representing the 5 digits on a Hand, at the very least.. lol
Naaru are Musical Keys to the Universe. The Naaru and Dark Naaru are "Major" and "Minor" keys of the cosmic music. darkened naaru are basically similar to the Discord in Tolkiens universe.
I bet if they are the five keys to oen our way and the five lanterns now darkened there has to be an event for each prime Naaru.
Illidan destroyed the holy Naaru Xe'Ra. The Dark Star could have been another. The one of retribution would have been Mu'ru. and the one for protection could have been the one saving Hallowfall. I think the Arathi might have been part of the army of the light and their Naaru ship saved them from dying when they were plunged into Azeroth.

@@_xaxxas The way I see Xal'atath, I think she was sent as basically the void lord's representative in reality, and her job was to manage the Old Gods - basically I think she wasn't as powerful as them, but she's meant to be their handler. They rebelled and moved away from the goals of the 'cosmic void', and imprisoned her in the dagger, thus her frustration with them. Now they're all gone she's going around collecting their essence so she can personally do what the void lords want done, thus the Harbinger.
So your teacher's pet comment is probably apt with my assumption :p

I love old gods and yet I find Xalatath the least interesting thing about WoW. Something about the way that elf/dagger has turned into a macguffin feels incredibly lazy. Old gods corrupt a region slowly and subtly, they don't rely on some agent that does all the hard work for them.
I think we can credit N'zoth for playing such a big role in freeing her, though. Without him, said macguffin isn't really a thing. We'll likely have an outcome where her success still plays into his long-game!
You love old gods but don’t like xal? Makes sense because xal is not an old god, she’s the void harbinger, much more powerful and Higher on the totem pole than all the old gods

My thinking was that it'd be a forward-leap like IRL 'Lightspeed'/relativity through the Twisting Nether, which is already a place unfettered by the construct of Time in a linear sense as far we can tell.
(Mild spoilers ahead)
We now know that the Arathi arrived 15 years ago trying to cross the "Storming Seas", and they were teleported into Hallowfall by a flash of light while at sea, but I haven't found it to be as confirmed as of just yet that they *departed* just 15 years ago. It could've been a millenia ago, and they were zipped ahead to our time. Or, it really is an 'other side of azeroth' culture from our modern time. We'll have to see!
