    Love your videos mate. I need to ask you, how do u know when you have thinned your paints properly. I know people say a certain consistency of the paint is key, but I just can't seem to get it right.

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  4 роки тому

      Thanks for the comment - I really appreciate it - honestly there is no easy answer - I'll probably do a video on this in the future but it depends on a lot of factors such as manufacturer, age of paint etc.
      I'd start of mixing 2 parts paint to 1 part water and go from there

  • @jordanamstutz7571
    @jordanamstutz7571 4 роки тому +1

    Did you thin out the Liberator gold at all? I've been finding that it isn't as vibrant when I thin it out and when I do a second coat it looks more orange-y gold than that beautiful pale gold.

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  4 роки тому +1

      Not really - i do give it a very good shake as I find it separates in the pot - I also put some on a wet palette and then make sure to add only a touch of water

    It seems like you spent a lot less time blending the inner and outer cloak. The highlights look drawn on compared to the folds on the pants.

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the comment - in hindsight, I would leave the cloak off - this would have made it easier to get a better blend

    • @ThePaintingCoach

      I have a plan - video will be out on it next week - you just need som patience with Teclis - I was hoping I could do sub assemblies but you can't on the head - In the future I might leave the cloak and head blue hair piece separate!
