@@Matt-jk1kr Hi.. Yes, it is so good for the soul isn't it? I agree, a proper reset and it's nice that you and your wife get the opportunity to do it too, amidst what sounds like a busy family life! We love this tent.. a little heavy but was perfect for our needs. 👌 Thankyou for watching and the lovely comment. 🙏 All the best Matt. ⛺💚
Aww it really is Wayne.. It's one of the best things we've gone and got ourselves into! Mornings in the hills are a bit special hey. All the best with your next adventures mate. ⛺💚👍
@@penninewayne1967 Everything about it is healthy Wayne.. we live for the outdoors and what it does for us mate. If you know, you know eh. And the people you bump into!! 😁💚
Thankyou Sarah.. yeah, we're lucky I suppose.. we both just absolutely love it equally. We're just on one big life adventure making memories. 🥰 Lovely that you go solo regardless.. amazing isn't it, good on ya. All the best to you too. 💚
Aww Thankyou so much Gillian, really appreciate that. Yes, this was the night that the utter magic of wild camping really kicked in for us.. Bloody special it was. 🙏💚
Great video guys , keep up the good work! , I'm really enjoying these uploads. I was about 1.5 miles from Pots n Pans this afternoon on Broadstone hill.
Thankyou so much John, hope you enjoyed half as much as we enjoy yours! What a wonderful break in the weather.. you picked the right day for it! We had a walk towards Broadstone Hill way before we set up. We didn't want to leave this morning, it was so beautiful up there. All the best mate. 💚
I remember that slog up to Aldermans Brow straight from Binn Green although I've never done it with full camping kit. I think the views from those hills rival any in the Peak District, its phenomenal. Looks like you had a great night and the Jackal II is a cracking tent as are most of the OEX tents to be fair Awesome camp team 😊
That slog up Alderman's, yep, bloody hell! 😊 I thought of it as a short, sharp shock rather than a good long slog, so it was one foot in front of t'other, breathe, sweat, and before you know it you're up top and ready to go again! 😊 The views were just breathtaking.. and yep, really loving the tent. Thankyou so much Dan and maybe see you up there in the wild one day. 👍
@@1982Noddin We're new to this wonderful wild camping lark and we were blessed with a beautiful night and following morning, which hasn't been easy this summer eh! But we fancy going a bit wilder now. Black hill and bleaklow are places I'd love to camp but it's just getting used to the weight carrying. It is amazing to be out there though. 👍
Thankyou mate, what a rare treat that sunset was! And I hope you manage to get out during a break in the weather and share one of your lovely, peaceful little videos. All the best... Mats. 👍
Thank you so much Hengist, really appreciate that. And thanks for the sub. I've not much in the way of 'content' but very new to it and was just giving it a go. Also, I just briefly wanted to say.. When the first lockdown happened, it was a very confusing and difficult time. There was a place I used to go to get away from all that confusion, a place where I could look down on the towns and cities below and just remove myself from the world and breathe. A certain spot was my sanctuary. As I discovered your channel, I came across videos of you having a camping spot where you test your gear.. well, I couldn't believe it was the same little spot, the mini quarry! What a great spot and I really enjoyed them videos.. I felt an affinity and a warmth that, that area gives me. We also did do our first wild camp up at the Indians/Scouts Head area.. It was a magical experience. Look forward to your future adventures. 👍
Grandparents have our 4 girls 3 or 4 times a year so my wife and i can do this. Same tent too. Good times, proper reset.
