- Cyber Peacock's stage from Mega Man X4 for the Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only (Stock Charge) speed run. Features locations of the Heart Tank, Sub-Tank, and Helmet Upgrade Capsule. I suppose this stage could definitely appear confusing. It's actually quite simple in fact: The stage is broken down into segments that are timed. You'll see the words "Hurry Up" as X is being scanned. From this point it's a race to the portal. If the player receives S-rank, X is rewarded with a power-up...the heart tank, sub-tank, and helmet upgrade. If the player receives A-rank, he simply moves onto the next section. And finally, a B-rank will require the player to re-run that segment. Cyber Peacock isn't much trouble. His opening attack here is probably the most deadly. Yay tracking missiles...and a fcking ton of them at that. He will then go into a phase where he is constantly re-appearing at X's exact location. It's best to keep moving while you wait for him to appear, see Drillman. Cyber Peacocks weakness is Soul Body.

i cant believe how you did this level without taking any damage. I cried like a baby when I played this level. It was like 9 years ago, but I remember this level to this day because of its difficulty.
Yeah, getting the S Ranks in this level had me raging. Super frustrating lol
This game feels like an arcade game with how unique each level is. I love that you have to go through time trials to get the items in this one.
Cyber peacock is kind of a joke when he doesn't use his homing attack much.

I really love how timed the music is when this stage is speed runned like how you are supposed to do it. 1:14 the final section of the stage is also the final section or the climax of the music which fits really well. Then at 1:40 the music returns back to the loop as you finish that section. It's well timed!

Flawless. Key to helmet upgrade: don’t get hit. Going to attempt this and use your play through as a guide.
Tip #2: Make sure to grab the ledges and actually jump. For some reason, I'm stuck on the jumping part because instead of a wall jump, X touches the wall like he's about to slide and then just falls.
I always thought Cyber Peacock's stage is an outerspace/alternate dimention like Astro Man's stage. It doesn't look like a cyber world and it's theme sounds more like an outer space/alien vibe too.
You can also see there are galaxies and stars at the background so it looks less likely to be a cyberspace.

Cyber Peacock leapt back in shock as a Hunter signal arrived in the virtual space right in front of him. "I haven't even had a chance to finish setting up the tests!" he snapped out, fanning his tail flukes. "How did you get here so-" He broke off as he saw a young girl with brown hair, green eyes, wearing a dark pink blouse, pale pink skirt, dark blue boots, and green and pink butterfly hair pins appeared. "You aren't X or Zero!" he snapped angrily.
Iris.EXE smiled. "You aren't worth their time. Engaging network purge protocol." Waving her arms out to her sides, massive data based cannons rose out of the virtual space, delivering massive blasts at the corrupted AI.
Cyber Peacock dodged back and forth as best as he could, but took a few bad hits. "This is impossible!" he snapped angrily. "How can a Hunter have such mastery of Cyberspace?"
"I'm not a Hunter," Iris.EXE replied as she raised her arms again. The whole virtual space began to rumble. "I'm not even a Navigator. I'm a digital alter-sona, designed to control the virtual space." From behind her, a massive wolf and firebird appeared. "You're out of your league, Peacock. It's time to clip your wings."
As the two beasts lunged, Cyber Peacock screamed.

Iris smiled as she returned her alter-sona to the core of her mind. "I don't get to do that nearly as often," she murmured softly.
Hated this level with passion so seeing it being beaten so easily is of some therapeutic value.
I did not think it was even possible to pull this off with X haha and with next to no armor upgrades you are a mega man god! Ah question how do you do the little delayed charge shot thing with X? I`ve played this game more times than i could count and i thought I knew this game inside out but I never saw that before. You seem to be able to hold a total of 4 shots. I probabaly don`t know either as I don`t pick X very often I mostly played as Zero 90% of the time.
thanks. and that's a buster upgrade: In Storm Owl's stage, there's two enhancement capsules right next to each other, and you can chose which one you'd like to apply. One allows for a quicker, larger, more powerful buster shot. and the other allows to charge and fire off 4 charged buster shots...not sure how that applies to zero. hope that helps!
Sliider36 Oh thanks so much Sliider! I did not know about that secret in Owl`s stage. The next time I play this game and I use normal X not X with the ultimate armor code I will check up there and get that 4 shot upgrade.
I fucking LOATHE this stage ONLY for the Head part. It's the last thing I need now and I cannot get that S rank
You have to be nearly perfect to get the Helmet upgrade. I got it when I was younger but Im too old for this shit now lol
Use the soul body power and be fast and precise, but I’m 100% sure that you have the helmet by now lol.

Sorry for the late comment there’s no need if you already got the leg part from the jungle stage since you just need to get one armor to trigger that armor appearing. That glitch was pretty fun to pull off but in the end I think it doesn’t break the game that much even though you have infinite nova strike

How did you knlw if you get a s rank?
It will tell you at the end. Best bet for is to time it. You start out at S rank from the time you are scanned in each stage. Like OP said, if you see "Hurry Up" appear, you are about to drop down a rank, from S to A, and then from A to B.
Forget this, i already discoveryd this and beat the entire game, 100% Both campaings
