When you know your tools anything is possible. Great vid! Even tho a large percentage of it I had no idea what you were on about.. But I just nodded along and looked like I did...
I was curious about how to use the MAX's Step Sequencer, and you made a perfect tutorial for this, thanks! But I wanna control each step of the sequencer from midi from expression pedal. So if I have success with it, ill show it here :D
@@NedRush Just so you know, you're tutorials made me think about the software in a whole new way... specifically your Reason breaks tutorial using sample and hold lfo's from subtractor. Completely changed how I work, so thanks!
Thanks again. I built this out and it’s a fun breaks machine. You did a fantastic job of stepping through the what and why. I had to really watch typing words and spaces, like “@lock space 1” and “* space 16”. I kept a Modulo in and it kind of nicely funks the loop up moving from 16 steps to something shorter. You are a UA-cam treasure. Thanks man.
I've never seen Star Wars. I'll have to come back later . Who's this Max guy anyway ? He speaks funny. Love it , Thanks ( not sure that capital was necassary ? )
Hi Ned, thanks for the slicer buddy! Ive been trying to implement a per step mute feature via matrixcntrl or mabey its possible via the directions panel? But enabling this breaks the patch somehow? In any case im not sure about the signal flow if you have any ideas? Thanks
You are awesome dude. I have a question, where can i found or buy or tuto, to have your probabilistic ensemble effects used at the end of the video? I know that you talkes oubout it in another videos but... i don't remember wich ones
Are those NedFX devices up on your patreon too?

@@NedRush can't find the splicing buddy anywhere 😔
@@NedRush my bad 😅 not on Isotonik studios is it 😆
Watching this in my holidays on the beach in croatia!
Maybe the first M4L video explanation that made sense to me.
Mr rush with all these videos you are spoiling us
Glad you’re doing more m4L stuff!

Ned posted today shall be grand
Oh hell yeah, that's gonna be rad to build! To Max!
Great video. I learned so much about M4L!

Well shit… Ned has finally pushed me to the point that I realize that I simply have to take the time to learn Max… 🤓
Sir you are a very inspirational teacher. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this type of content!
Great vid thanks for walking through the process
Just signed up to your Patreon, this video is one of your best yet
HOLYSMOKES THIS IS AMAZING
How cool is that, thanks Ned !
Effective App..well done. I must explore creating apps etc in Max 8.
Excellent !
Amazing! I will love to see how you could make a velocity euclidean sequencer in m4l. Cheers!
I don't even use Live or Max but that was impressive! And those NedFX devices are top notch!
Ned teach me life!
Thank 'you!
learning max thanks to you. If this helps anyone, you can set note length in makenote with `8n` and it'll squirt out perfect 8th notes for you
You're a flippin' genius
Youfreak !!!! love it !!!
AMAZING!
Very cool! I wish you were still a reason head, but hey. I still enjoy the thought process. Thanks Ned!
I might get Reason 12 at some point.

Damn... I just realised "I am that guy in the comments" who reacts to randomness things, heh. Fair play though, it really works in this instance!
be careful with the random police!!!! haha thanks for this great video
Amazing.
That was awesome. Thanks 🙏

Good stuff. BTW - I think (?) you can input a note value like 8n directly into the makenote for the duration if you want.
Awesome mate!

Great vid. Very intuitive way for mashing breaks. Would the same apply say using the think break again if you sliced to 16th notes?

Ok sorry i found it :)
I have already developed something similar to you but my tool is only based on the exponential rhythm and 1618.
Cool
Just so you still have people in the comment section to complain about:
(In a supremely derpy voice) "Uuhhhh I hate random"
Ned Turing
the fuck nice device you made it so fast as wel
please give too me as wel i have been your sub for like forever
you could just remake it
