Just like my late grandpa. Made everything in his house by his own hands, from chairs to cabinets to electric guitars. And he can play guitar too! This channel is awesome.

@@passenger3 360p? Older than that! My routing experience goes back to 1974 which I am pleased to share here and one of my best selling videos is shot in S-VHS pre digital.
I see you have the same passions I have. Music, (guitar) and fine woodworking.
I am a concrete contractor by profession and a carpenter by trade, but my true passion is music and woodworking. In my professional life, in the concrete trade, what I accomplish is accomplished many times solely by brute force. Concrete work is unimaginably difficult. Music and fine woodworking on the other hand, are both all about finesse, timing and gentleness.

I thought I need a nailgun next for my slowly increasing tool arsenal (bought a Mitre saw 3 months ago, then a small foldable worktable & clamps 2 months ago and a Circular saw a month ago)but then I realized I can do soo much more with a router after watching this great video.

Ha ha and I picked up a router by chance in 1973 when a travelling tool salesman left it with me to play with! I told him I could not afford such expensive toys! Jeremy, I'm a carpenter too, made all kinds of stuff, a couple years ago switched to boat building... anyway 15 years ago spent a full year in a quality carpenter course. bottom line, your 3 min clip taught me more about the router then they could in a full year............ godspeed.

What a beautiful machine! It just about does anything. As a newbie to power tools and woodworking, you opened my eyes to a machine that does not get enough credit among other wood working tools for all the things it can do with wood.

Table mounted routers with properly adjusted sub fences can do a better job of jointing than some joiner/planers that I've seen, and for most beginners seems easier to get that hang of.

The guitar piece is my interpretation of the late great Gary Moore and doesn't have a name as such. I use his familar sequence of chords which are found in his classic songs such as Parisienne Walkways.
