I remember thinking the real reason was her name, which kinda was at first since they improvised the abusive husband story once they decided Jo was going to stay as a regular character. I would have to go back and checkother seasons even more, but sincerely I don't really want to, grey's always does this from one season to the next they change ongoing narratives almost at whim. I mean Jo story is the epitome of that

❤ absolutely 100 true sometimes being strong is not being afraid to show your emotions that In and of itself is true bravery. Having lived through hell and back myself I sympathize with her because not everyone has lived an easy life where they can truly trust people to be there for them
