I wish Pansear kept the signature move of Flame Burst (Panpour had Scald and Pansage had Seed Bomb, even though that move was from Sinnoh). But that’s the only signature move cut from the 6 elemental Unova staples (starter and semi-starters).
With Heart Gold and Soul Silver, togepi at least gets born with Extrasensory, which is not only powerful, but also gives it an actual attack it can reliably use
One time, I transfered a piplup to HG and made a team with , cyndaquil, Dratini, togepi and larvitar. Damn nobody could beat me
Since you asked: My favorite Eeveelution is Leafeon and I was glad I was finally able to use one on my playthrough team in Legends Arceus.

Mine's Jolteon
I used a scope lens Leafeon in Ultra Moon and it was an absolute monster. The first pokemon on my team to get level 100 with a 5 level lead
The starter, Luxray, Staraptor, Lucario, Garchomp and Roserade is pretty much everybody's team on a first Sinnoh playthrough

I've never used the Roserade line, honestly. I often favor grass starters, so I've never had a reason to.
I've never used roseerade in a playthrew. I don't usually have a grass type on my team unless it's my starter or 2 types. I've used Venusaur and my starters for gen 8 and 9 were rillaboom and meowscarada.
Crobat should definitely be here too. Zubat is easily caught in basically every game except gen 5 and games it was removed from
It's good in Black and White 2 because they'll all have Wing Attack when caught, plus the Poison helps against Fairies in Gen 6 and 7
Plus in Sinnoh, it was one of your few alternate Flying-type options if you didn’t want to use Staraptor (or Togekiss if you were playing Platinum).

Yes! Especially in the earlier games. As a kid he was pretty much guaranteed a spot on my team when playing through Leaf Green/Fire Red.

Agreed. Especially in Yellow where they can learn Double Kick at Level 12, meaning an early counter for Brock.

Jolteon is easily my favorite eeveelution, may not have the best stats but holds some serious nostalgia for me
Ralts should be on this list, I think. You can find it super early in most games, it’s really strong in both evolutions, and has an INCREDIBLE mega!

I'm surprised Floatzel wasn't on the list since it's an easy choice for a Sinnoh water type. I actually didn't use Roserade until a few years ago when playing through Brilliant Diamond
This was a really good list. As for a favorite Eeveelution, besides Eevee (who is adorable), I'd go for Espeon, on account of it carrying me through my Colosseum run. Definitely shreds most battles with Psychic power. 😆 Espeon looks cute, too.

I can completely agree with Luxray. I've used it in every run I have in Sinnoh and even in Hisui. I've even got more respect for my Platinum Nuzlocke when that one, which had Intimidate for the ability, came clutch in taking down Fantina with minimal casualty to my team
I feel like with the elemental sets provided I would put the three Kanto legendary birds on there. When I was playing Blue back in the day I just had to put one of them on my team once I got them. Articuno was my fav.

Bulbasaur was my first Pokemon too. You always remember who started the journey into the Pokemon series with you.
Actually I did use Togepi in my last playthrough of Soul Silver years ago and kept it all the way through. I even challenged the elite 4 with Togetic in my party and it was super tough. But it was totally worth it when I finally got Togekiss.

I did the same with kadabra.... when it get to level 70 I realysed that would ONLY evolve from trading and not that it COULD evolve by trading but could evolve by level up too....

My favorite eeveelution is 100% sylveon, I just like it's cute design and the way eevee evolved into sylveon in the anime while it was holding Serena's hand was so cute, I also like ribbons and bows

Honestly I love all the eeveelutions. Their all pretty bulky for being small dog/cat/fox things and I loved using Vaporeon whenever possible.
I saw a meme once that was something along the lines of "Oh, you're playing Sinnoh? is this your team?" and then it was Infernape, Staraptor, Roserade, Luxray.

I loved using Togepi because metronome was such a fun gamble. After a bit ... Yea it got cut super fast
Pretty much nailed it, used all of these Pokemon on at least one of my teams, and a few of them even made my Champion team. I might have included some of the middle evolutions where a trade is needed for the final one, I know there's a lot of us who hoped we'd be able to get the trades done, but never could, so had to make do with the Haunter, Dusklop, Machoke and Graveler friends we made a long the way. Also, my favourite Eeveelution is Espion as I never expected my Eevee to evolve whilst I was waiting for a stone... Still would love a Ghost Eevee so I can use it during my Ghost playthroughs.
I'm almost 40 (clears throat this upcoming February) late bloomer in the Pokemon games so my first ever starter was Grookey! Luxray and Staraptor have grown on me tremendously! Roserade 🌹 had me sold immediately in the Galar region! One of my faves!
Lucario is dope and always wanted to use one but it didn’t fit on my team in Sinnoh and Kalos

10/10 accurate for me.. but... after 25 years, hundreds of runs and several thousands of hours spent in games, I would be sooooo stoked if you could name 5 mons I've NEVER had on my team!

Favorite eeveelution: Glaceon
Though surprisingly I’ve never used Lucario, Garchomp or Roserade. By the time I got the Riolu egg I already had my team made in DPP, I used Torterra so had no need for a roserade on my team and never caught Gible or Gabite during any play throughs. Have used them in competitive though.
This was a good list, my favorite eeveelution is probably Umbreon, and I think the only one of these I’ve never used on a play through is Garchomp, which I only realized after watching this.
I saw the title and I was like go ahead and call us out in Gen 4 for using Luxray and Staraptor 😂
That 40% flinch rate on Extrasensory in HGSS hit different man.
Best Eeveelution is Jolteon imo hands down. That design. That speed. That near-constant OU status from Gens 1-5 until power creep took over. Jolteon has been the most consistently dominant Eeveelution if you average their impacts over 9 generations.
Now that I think about it, I think I've just used Lucario maybe once, also never used Roserade (altough I love it) and Togepi. Honestly surprised Nidoking/Nidoqueen didn't made into the list
I can say I played black 2 and white 2 like crazy when I was a kid. Anytime I restarted my game and didn’t pick tepig I would grab a riolu from the ranch and just have fun the entire game with a strong mon on the team
Well I'll give you this: I have used all of these Pokemon at least once... except Garchomp, surprisingly.
Without avoiding every Pokémon title in existence, you are incapable of avoiding using any Starter Pokémon.
Definitely got me with everything on this list. I was for sure #1 was Pikachu. Fave Eeveelutions would be Espeon, Jolteon, Vaporeon and Leafeon.
Tbh, I was kinda expecting Pikachu to be on this list. It's technically been a starter in multiple games (literally being on the cover of said games), it's the face of the franchise, has had a LOT of exposure due to the anime and movies, and you get access to it pretty early on in every game it's appeared in. Not to mention the fact that it had multiple exclusive Z-Moves, a G-Max form, and an item that literally doubles its power with the Light Ball. The Pokémon company gave people every possible excuse to try it out at least once.
Also, since you asked, my favorite Eeveelution is probably Espeon. I had an Eevee named Evo when I played through Omega Ruby and I wanted to just let it evolve naturally instead of giving it a stone. Once it did, I regretted nothing because it helped me tear through the rest of the game. Also, I really like its shiny which I can't say for some of the others. But a close second would be Jolteon since I like its design and it's one of the better options competitively. Though Flareon and Glaceon are underrated imo and deserve a bit more recognition.

This was a good video and my favourite Eeveelutions is Espeon as it looks like a cat and Gardevoir on the next list as ot has probably been used a lot in peoples first play through.

Other top contenders: Crobat (available almost in any game), Ampharos (go to electric type in Johto + early electric type in BW2), Nidos (Kanto's best early options), Guardevoir (available in lots of games, fan favourite)

Surely we have all used a Geodude at some point originally for HM's, and then realised they can wall an electric gym and carried on with Graveller/Golem
I specifically remember that mega Lucario battle in X&Y. The first time I went against the other one, it one shot me with power up punch. After restarting, I one-shot hers by not going for swords dance this time, but power up punch just like she did. After getting awarded the Lucario I was forced used, I immediately went to the PC and released it. My first ever experience with any kind of Lucario and it gets one-shot by a weak move twice? Nuh uh, I can't forgive that. It's broken alright... because of how bad it is.

I'm actually not sure I've ever used a Roserade. I also don't really use the elemental monkeys, since I'm one of the few who hated Gen 5, but I'm pretty sure I did use one once when I tried to play through it (and failed)...
I don't have gen 5 but I dislike it. I've only ever gotten up to a little bit past the first badge because of roadblocks/gatekeepers. There's way too many forced stops in these games. Atleast in the first black and white. Literally every 5 seconds you have to stop for something or other
Its nice that mystic came to appriciate some sinnoh classics such as luxray and torterra
I'm glad I was able to transfer over a gligar over to my shining pearl copy and get to use it fully its not bad at all its fun

Starters: I find this entry unfair, it's impossible to NOT have used it. I expected this video to be "forgotten about Pokemon" that were actually used more frequently than people remember.
Luxray: Never had it on my team.
Togepi: Never really played Gen 2 so never had it.
Lucario: Gen 6 since I was given it.
Eeveelutions: I like them but I've never used them on my teams. I only obtain them for the Pokedex but never use them.
The Elemental Monkeys: Nope, never used them.
Garchomp: Okay yeah you got me there.
Staraptor: Okay yeah you got me there
Roserade: Was about to say no but then I remembered I did use one in Galar.
Red Gyarados: Nope but I have used regular Gyarados.
Adding to lucario I always used one in my play throughs of black and white 2!

Togitic was actually on my final hgss team I remember using choice specs that I got from somewhere and spamming extrasensory on Bruno in the elite four

Actually, I always liked the monkeys because I never evolved them. I still like their base forms. They are just so happy :)
As for Eevee: Jolteon and Espeon are my favourites. Sylveon and Vaporeon, not so much... And I will never get, what's so special about Shiny Umbreon.
As for Garchomp: Outside of Pokemon Go I have never used it.
i definitely used a weird sinnoh team as a kid because i remember my heavy hitters being floatzel and torterra, and i never used luxray or garchomp. i think for the next list you should add everyone's favorite HM helper (bidoof)
also to add: my favorite eeveelutions are espeon and flareon! yes flareon sucks ingame but it's just so FLUFFY

10 Pokemon We Have All Used Once (in Sinnoh) lollllll. I was waiting for Pikachu or Snorlax or even Castform. Gyarados making #1 was spot on though!
Snorlax,Bidoof the master slave and Pikachu are all pokémon we used .
I’ve used the Red Gyarados on 2 separate occasions. Multiple times between Crystal/Soulsilver and also when I stumbled upon a gold Magikarp flopping around on the beach in my first play through of Scarlet
I had come across a gold Magikarp in the Dragon Den in Silver. Not knowing the details all about shines I thought that a gold Magikarp meant it could evolve into a different color other than red. I was so disappointed when I evolved it.
I honestly love the elemental monkeys. First time playing Black, I knew I wanted Emboar and Simisage on my final team, so learning that you get given a Pansage at the Dreamyard if you pick Tepig, that certainly worked out nicely! Pansage fell off a little bit after Striaton Gym, but I persevered with it until Castelia City. It hit level 22, learned Seed Bomb, and I used a Leaf Stone to evolve it into Simisage, and it just, it just rocked from there on in. And Pansear is even better to use from Gen 6 onward in the early game because of the Incinerate buff.
My first starter was also bulbasaur! I only played platinum for like 2 minutes and i chose piplup
My Pepper(Pansear) is my fav underrated member on my Unova team. A fire punch & attract combo. Plus never evolved her unfortunately she's trapped in Pokemon HOME ... 🔥💞
I didn't use Luxray or Roserade until PLA, unfortunately. Idk what i used in Sinnoh playthrough, but i know it wasn't either of them..
Me, I'd say my favorite Eeveelution is Jolteon. Heck, it's also my favorite Pokémon, period.
As for the Pokémon mentioned in this video, yeah, I've used most of them, and some of them ended up being my favorites like Garchomp and Roserade. Funny enough, though, I never used the Shiny Gyarados mainly because I used Feraligatr as my starter in Johto.
9/10, I missed the monkeys in my BW playthrough. Eeveelutions on a technicality because of Coliseum. Was waiting for Gyarados!
Espeon is my favorite with Sylveon being a close second.

Personally, I add Pikachu to every team I reasonably can. I feel like everyone's used it at least once, mostly due to the anime.
I’d throw Kadabra on here. Probably my favorite Pokémon from Red/Blue. Never had any friends to trade for Alakazam until wondertrade became a thing. But back when Psychic was untouchable, I rocked that thing until I caught Mew2.
If there is a legends kyurem I kind off want to see the elemental monkeys as the starters but with a buff
I have something to say about every entry on this list:
10. Yes, I've used a starter in every single play through I've done. There's always been one that I've just loved too much to not.
9. Luxray was on my Sinnoh Team because I never liked (and still don't like) Normal types, and since there was an abundance of Bidoof and Starly, it had to be there.
8. I sweeped the annoying Milktank in HG & SS through metronome spam. The first had Giga Impact, the next was Fire Blast and the final was Blizzard (all in a row)
7. Lucario was epic, and why wouldn't I use a free Mega, let alone a Lucario in Kalos?
6. I've always made it a mission of mine to get every Eeveeluiton available in the game that I'm playing, and have a separate PC Box just for them
5. I've always had one elemental monkey, but only for a short time and never all three in one save file
4. Garchomp fell off me me sadly as the games progressed, but I did use it for the longest time because, again, how could you not
3. I was so happy when my Staravia finally evolved, and the fact that it instantly learnt Close Combat sold me on it enough to take it to the League
2. I have never used Roserade in a team EVER. Crazy as it sounds, when I played Platnium way back when, I was young enough to not know that I needed a Dawn Stone, so just assumed that I needed to level it up and grew impatient when it didn't evolve :/
1. Never caught the Red Gyarados (my first Shiny was a Charizard), and the normal Gyarados that I did use kept getting smacked by Electric-types so...
Next episode for sure gotta have Ampharos, the HGSS Luxray
Ampharos was a hard carry in GSC, boi was Luxray before Luxray.
About the Eeveelutions … I LOVE ALL OF THEM But my Two Favorites Are Vaporeon & Glaceon they are so powerful , Beautiful Designed , and in an every game I would do my best to get them.
Glad that red Gyarados made it number one. Ironically the first shiny I ever saw as a kid was a ratatta but since I didn't know the value of shiny pokemon I just ignored it since I remember how much it sucked in red
The only reason I never used many of the popular Sinnoh Pokemon were because I always caught and used different Pokemon throughout my first ever playthroughs of Pokemon. I also really tried just using Pokemon with two types because I thought that automatically made them better. When Shining Pearl came out I did use a Garchomp though. And I also am using a Floatzel in my current Platinum run.
I haven't used the red Gyarados.... until Kitakami. I've used Pokemon like Audino, Emolga, Azumaril, Bronzong, etc in playthroughs.
I'm quite surprised that Gardevoir/Gallade wasn't even mentioned.

Lucario is the Pokémon that I have used more than any other. In Pokémon X, Y, Diamond, and Brilliant Diamond, I have used Lucario.

my Favorite Pokemon is Flygon, I hold a special place of hatred in my heart for Garchomp..... It comes flying in in the very next gen as a Pseudo Legendary with Flygon's typing, and steals from it... Then Gen 6 rolls around and while they're both supposed to get Megas, only Garchomp does... Yes I am extremely salty towards this Shark, so?
Not a fan of the paldea starters so both my scarlet and violet playthroughs I actually didn’t use the starters. I wanted to use both charcadet and cerluedge tho so I had a friend catch/breed two and evolved them both a lv 1 lol. For violet I hatched noibat, deino, gible, arctibax, axew, dreepy and played through as a dragon trainer
Found it much more enjoyable to use teams I wanted to from the beginning for a change instead of laboring through with a starter I don’t like and early game bug or flying type/rodent
