The point of this 16 minute video, "I don't want my car to smell like food so I don't do those." the end.
+Macky Mode thanks for watching :D
Hahaha
Put the food in the insulated bag, zip up, NO SMELL
lmfao . thanx.
😂
It’s funny that I prefer to delivery food rather than people for very similar reasons. But for me, it’s easier to clear a bad smell out of my vehicle than bad energy😝. Safe travels my friend.
I feel ya
So true!
Riders are a bad option. They complain to dam much. He rabbling
Bruh delivering chipotle smells like b.o but better than having to entertain passengers 😊😊😊
The damn truth
Doordashers here get respect, we don't wear uniforms. My vehicle is very nice. I worked real estate and various other careers in my day. I like doordash food delivery because i get to move all day and not have conversations with ppl. Im out here to supplement income not to network with ppl. Food don't talk trash. Who cares what ppl think about you. Its about what you think about yourself. Respect urself n others will follow suit.
Food don't talk trash 😂🤣
I do ubereats only and my car smell money!
+KleatSrok the smell of money... :)
KleatSrok I do uber eats & I eat free food everyday bro!
lol
how
Lol ok it's not for you, it's not going to be for everyone ubereats in my market is a joke. Not paid enough! I choose not to do uber rideshare because I don't want to have to be happy and talk to customer like you I will never do it. I don't want people in my car like that. So it goes both ways. Great video.
+SideHustle 247 agreed. Thanks. 👍
Drive in Vegas for a few and you'll get a passenger or two that leaves a lingering scent, I guarantee it.
And even the homeless know the number to the EEOC here, lol.
I’ll gladly buy a $2 air freshener for the $500-$700 I make per week doing Doordash as a side hustle🤷🏽♂️
This video makes some good points as far as the difference between rideshare and delivery in general. Some of the things you mentioned can be avoided via automation though. For example, if you see someone is an apartment complex, you can have a saved text in your phone that you send before you start driving to them asking them for the gate code. You could do the same thing with apartment buildings or even arrange for the customer to meet you outside. With being said though, I can see where you're coming from.
The best conversation with an Uber driver is no conversation. That’s the perfect ride.
for the few... But most prefer convo
Not all 35 to 65 year old people have degrees or even want a college education. Some people don't like sitting all day at some cubicle or hospital or law office but be on the go. I know a 65 year old lady who told me she likes delivery and driving uber because she gets nervous in an office environment or having a boss telling her what to do.
Thanks for making this video. I am new, two days into this venture in Houston Tx. I have a full time job, and do this for extra money to pay off past debt and to have a little mad money. 1st day I got 10 pings, 6 rides and 4 eats. (8hrs 9am to 5pm sat) 108.00 2nd day 10 pings and 6 rides and 4 eats (6.5 hrs sun 2 pm to 9pm) 101.00 I enjoyed the mix.
+Gary Daw glad u enjoyed it. I think u will do well either way.
You do get paid to pickup a delivery and they come to your car most of the time. And you get paid to drop it off. You get more tips too. I think it’s great for just part time.
+Chad Glaze cool
It all depends on the market. I live in NYC and I do well with Eats. I guess if you live in small towns it may be different. I also have pretty good hot cold bags that hold in the smell. My car never smells like food and I do both Eats and passenger pick up.
+krazyfan2000 glad they both work for ya
You are missing out on amazon flex.Great way to make some extra money.
I am in the Atlanta market i have over 400 trips with Uber ride and ubereat u just need to have a very good air freshener keep the car very clean. the biggest problem I have run into with ubereat is some places don't have a place to park in downtown I have had to cancel those orders. getting my car booted is not worth it but you can make money with ubereat in the right market
Wisdom101 You still doing It In Atlanta?
I agree it helps to spend time with people, and they see how it gets with traffic. Food smell can be aired out well just like smoke, I bought my car with a smoke smell now it's fine. My car is too old to take passengers so all I can do is food for now. But I'd rather take people cause it's more responsibility and better tips.
I drive lyft n deliver for doordash. I put all food into those insulated bags. Keep my vehicle nice n new looking inside n out. Burn a little sweet smelling incense. So my vehicle does not smell like food.
I don't like driving customers around in my vehicle everyday so i switch it up.
An impressive outlook on the topic . Loved listening. Thanks!
Welcome
Thanks a lot for making this video and being honest with your thoughts.
Doordash LIES to their drivers and misleads the customers. If a customer tips $3 or $5, the driver never sees any of that. Doordash uses the tip to pay most of the "guarantee" delivery fee that the driver is promised for that delivery. Technically, they do pay "100% of the customer's tips" to the driver, but in reality, Doordash uses most, if not all, to cover the "guaranteed" delivery fee they promised the driver to accept the delivery. In most cases, whether a customer tips $5, $3, $1, the driver will receive exactly the same amount of money for making that delivery. Drivers should hand out cards to Doordash customers suggesting that they NOT tip through the app, since Doordash keeps most, if not all, of any tip they add to their order. Encourage customers to tip in cash if they want the driver to receive the tip.
+Roger Bricker good luck w/ that
Im a single father, who has been delivering food for 6 weeks. There's just not enough money in it for me. I've been working exceedingly hard, working long hours and have come to the conclusion, that I have to do something else. Thank you for this video. It has inspired me and given me hope that I can still drive independently on a platform and have the flexibility to pay my bills and support my son's, while my other business grows.
Unfortunately the vehicle that I have right now is not compatible for passengers, so I'm going to do the Hertz weekly rental to get started.
Will there be any additional advice that I can get from you? Thanks again for this video , it made a difference.

+ElliotVictorious -- HALLELUYA man. That's what I'm talking about. See now THAT is exactly why I don't do uber eats or door dash or grubSh!t or whatever they call it.
I too wash my car at the end of EVERY day, and my car is vacuumed at least 3-5 X's a day. ANNNND I wipe the inside door handles, seatbelt buckles, charge cable tips, ANYTHING that gets touch traffic [even before this pandemic crap happened] with IPA at least 3 times a day. MORE if it's a busy day. I don't need my car smelling like a FRENCHFRY on wheels and get a 1 star because of it.
Your Right. . . that's all I need to say.
I only do Uber Eats, pays more and no assholes in your car.
I tried driving full time but it's too much for me
yea $3 to go in mc donalds wait and deliver not worth it
haha! your right the money alone sucks! I just started getting tips! after months of doing it!
Food & nicotine are two different things. Nicotine is a chemical that can certainly get into the fabric of a car. Food is a chemical so it doesn't linger in fabrics at all. Hilarious!
Its two different categories, one is a taxi and the other delivery. For me I would have to deliver especially because I have a small child that needs to be with me. I cant afford babysitting so I take her with me. Wonderful for the stay home mom.
Makes sense. Jus make sure u never leave her in the car by herself. No matter what she is ALWAYS more important than a delivery.
Thank you very much and yes I agree
Great Video!
I’ve done both pays about the same except more tips being a delivery person. People eat in your car and you never know who your driving..it’s all preference...
Ppl DO NOT eat in my car.
Really?? 16 minutes to say "not interested" ? Need beneficial content. .my opinion
+Daniel Yost hahahaha 👍
"From what I have heard, I'm not interested." lol
What do you do if a rider enters your vehicle and smells like weed or cigarettes cause that stinch stays in your car even after they leave. Air freshner does not always clear it. New riders will think your smoking the weed or cigarettes and it could lower your rating if they have little children and babies with them breathing it in as well.
What is your advice on this issue?
Happens daily... And simply letting your windows down while driving on your way to your next passenger will clear the smell out of the air.
I'm 4.80 with 4500 rides & 2900 5 stars. I agree with you 100% & don't do food delivery or allow food or beverages in.
There are some people who just do not want to talk to drivers.
As a driver, would it be terrible to have a policy of focusing mostly on driving, and chatting way less with customers?
Most passengers prefer pleasant conversation rather than awkward silence. This is what they tell me.
If you put the food in the insulation bag your car will not smell . At the same time, I like your strategy. Uber eats drivers don't make enough money.
If one doesn't have that responsibility then... I guess what you doin is great. A foot for every shoe. Thanks, was considering this but now I am probably not going to do Uber share do to safety.
If you have your food in an uber eats bag or doordash bag your car should be good from smells or/and if you spray some ozium in the car at the end of the night.
Nah
Yah!
Were you thinking of Jimmy John's but couldn't remember the name?
+Glenda Davis yes
I stop doing uber eats cause it takes to much time. I did one delivery could not even find the apartment it took like houre just to finish. I said never again.
My car only 2 door, wish I can work Uber. I do postmate, so I don't give shit about smell also they give you bag can close it
I dont anymore. Its not profitable. Dont like handling other people food especially people who get mad about their melted ice cream, cold soda and cold fries from mcdonalds.
Put the food in the trunk. Reduces the odor a lot!
My SUV doesnt have a separate trunk. Either way, I don't drive food.
LOL wow it's not that serious. Use an insulated bag to put the food in and there won't be a smell, especially for someone who takes care of their car the same way u do.
Freaky fast, jimmy john's
What category Uber or Lyft you drive on?
All available
yeah he is talkingggggg tooooooo much man:D:D:D:D
It is not true about food smell. Sometimes people smell bad than food.
Smells smell smelly no matter the source of em.
No not really true I do full details once week an I do smoke but outside my card an use hand sanitizer an a 1$ car spary no perfume is need its all the way you set up an making sure the food is not leaking or exposed to your car you will not have that problem just ask around your keep your car just the way you keep your self clean an prepy that how it would resume if your careless an not careful that how your service does effect you its all on how you maintain an keep your self that will effect your work, now many people do lyft an uber an got a high chance of getting in to a crash sooner or later since more people car pool then you would deliverys but that just my take anyone agree
Uber, Doordash, & Postmates are just like going fishing. You don't know if you're going to get a minnow or a whale! So sometimes I'm making $15+ an hour for the hours I work then it can be less than minimum wage. So, can you make eats your full time job??? Probably not. You'll need something else on top of that.
What if we can't got another job but delivering food?!!!
+nemozzzz1 then DO IT!
then at least your not the one making the food.
Can you make a video on dress code. I feel that I make more tips when I dress up with a dress shirt and tie and slacks. Not sure if you experience any difference.
+Hollywood Thrift and Grind got one for ya in my FREE video training course (link in description)
I thought using your personal car for ride share business opportunities was to make money 💰.
I actually like postmates in a car, but it doesn't pay well. Not a fan of uberEATS or DD as a driver.
Curbside delivery!! People are outside waiting for you!!
+Gj hill never heard that...
Yeah man, i do Ubereats in calif and I never get out the car after i pick up the food!! People are standing at the curb waiting for you. They can track you coming and they see once you are there. Roll the window down, here you go!! It isn't as bad as you think!!! I make decent money doing it part time!! There are people killin it full time!!! Plus I couldn't give a F what people think about me delivering their food!! I find people to be appreciative but the perception of Uber driver if you delivering food or if you delivering people from place to place it is what it is
Gj hill Maybe in cali but not in chicago, i never had someone once meet me, maybe because weather idk or people are pricks which is probably it because rarely do you see any tips. I only been doing it since nov.
+Gj hill u hav a unique experience, bcuz most ppl in most cities are not curbside waiting for their food from what I've heard.
I'm in Cali too (Bay Area) and I do Uber Eats and Uber ride share. I still have to get out of the car sometimes, but you're right, most times people are outside waiting. I only do Uber Eats when it's surging or they are offering some kind of boost, otherwise it's not worth it for me. I'll have to start putting the food on my trunk to avoid the smells
You may even get attacked by stray dogs. The customer blame you if restaurant screw up their delivery.
I wudnt know...
what type of car do you drive?
I drive an SUV
Gas guzzler or air pollutant?
Put the food in your trunk
No trunk. I drive an SUV. No interest in food delivery.
Hey man im 29 and deliver food should I quite everything loool know 😂😂
Do as u choose
A Rideshare Driver how long have you been with uber?
@@sm-bd1bz Since 2016
@13:24 "Man ,what is this loser doing delivering food." You mean like your pizza delivering father?
Hahahaha what a genius... First, whose Thomas McBride anyway? A UA-cam comment section troll or a real person? Second, CONTEXT... listen to what I said before 13:24 AND what I said after before you get ur panties all in a bunch McBride. Other ppl ARE of that opinion. Like it or not. And it's not my opinion. Third, my pizza delivering father doesn't deliver pizzas full-time or part-time or at all, but when he did he was also a career military man & realtor. Fourth, If you had any listening skills you would've heard all that. Lastly, THANKS for watching!
Thomas McBride go back to mommy’s basement and resume your video game
You can spend 30 to 45 minutes on an order for a 3.50 trip out of all that.
Uber may have you do 2 deliveries at once. It maybe dark and you cannot find the address on the house or get into apartment complex then walk 3 flights up to deliver the food.
It does not pay to do UberEats. People who say otherwise is not keeping it real with you!
Some ppl are into that...
Good luck when you have ppl throw up in ur car champ👍👍
9000 trips and still goin... #NoExcusesHere
dont try it, i only has 1 ride with uber eat that ride took 1 hour 1 min waiting for the food than i only get paid 3.71 dollar. thanks for advice this guy what sup with uber eat. im from nj.
You should have cancelled and had them send some other car to pick it up.
No one cares that you are a 5 star driver lol .
Thanks. Everybody cares. Every single viewer. Every one. :)
Nick Kreiger hey moron your bus is leaving back to the funny farm!
