You fill a hole in "the market" that no-one else does, as a low handicapper who is approaching retirement age. As I've said to you before, your golf represents us all on our very best days, which is why we watch! Well done UA-cam for promoting your last video, allowing you to find a new audience for your work. It's nice to see a few of your new subs commenting below, along with all of your regulars!!! Enjoy putting the work in to get you playing even better and remember, "the only place where success comes before work is in a dictionary". So enjoy!!!! And have confidence that, with lessons, and practice, you’ll get to where you want to be in time for your next holiday!
The only comclusion I can come to is the word 'seniors' might of been the trigger. Of course I do forget I am a senior. Must use it more often and see if that works. Cheers
Simon, Your videos are a great resource. The underlying value is how you play different courses and your descriptions of course management. That's what I like: the different layouts and how to manage your game around them. And you are absolutely right about courses being too long for many "super senior" golfers. Courses should be fair to us golfers in that category and not an exercise in pushing our handicaps skyward. Cheers!
Hello Art, I find it very strange how here in England you can't even play the reds. I did some research and only about 22% of clubs have embraced the WHS properly. If in 10 years my drive is 190, 3 wood about 170 and wedge about 80 that is the length of par 5 I want to play. Not 540 and having 30 shots. Cheers
I'm starting to feel it now Andrew. Plus I played a lot of mixed golf back in the day and I heard a lot from the Ladies. Fairways they can't reach, hazards they can't get over. Front bunkers that stop them rolling it in. I guess I was blind until I got older.
I was always told that UA-cam is like real life and sometimes someone wins the lottery. I just hope that the new people stick with you my friend. You inspires us all, whether we are old followers like myself, or newbies x
John, you are one of the guys that inspired me to give it a go. I hope I can follow in your footsteps and keep growing. That would be nice. Thanks. Simon
The WHS system works well when all tees are assessed for all players and the player puts in regular cards. I play in SW France and all out tees on all the courses have a complete assessment. So as I have gradually moved on to 78 years old I have had the chance to play all my social games and some team match play rounds from an appropriate tee. However, our monthly medal is played off men's yellow making to course around 6000 yds so most par 4s are out of reach of green in regulation. Nonetheless I would still say the WHS system offers better opportunities for enjoying golf.
I did some research Ian. In England only about 22% of clubs embraced the WHS fully. Reds are still Ladies only on most courses. It's ashame because I feel we are missing out on what the WHS can do for us. 6000 is a comfortable distance for me. One day it wont be. It will become to difficult. I can only hope by then it will of changed over here. Thanks

As you point out, things that are technically wrong may still work for the individual. As even the pros say, there is no ‘one way’ of playing this game. It’s almost with experience you know your own swing and what your body can do, if it’s consistent and it works, it’s right. Keep smiling 👍🍺🏌️
