Do you know what the length was of the shocks? Front and rear. I know you need to know the extended and compressed measurements. I’d like to get them for my truck.
I installed these on my truck n took it for service on a shop n I think the guys there swapped them out n took my brand new ones n out some other fox shocks.
Ive been trying to find these for my 06 sierra 4wd, but had no luck, instead of clevis mount they always send me the wrong ones, where did you purchase your set?
hello great video! i was wondering if you knew if i could use the 6inch lift fox shocks on my sierra if i have a 7 inch rough country body lift? would i be able to use the 6inch fox shocks or would i have to get stock shock size? these are going in the rear Btw, fox doesnt seem to have any 7inch rear lifts for some reason
Hmm, what year is your truck? I was under the impression that 99/06 1500 lifts were 6". My 2006 2500 has a 7" BDS and they offer a Fox shock for it, perhaps they may work even in a 1500. I would call BDS and ask.
At the time it was no muffler, just a Y merge and dual 2.5" tailpipes. Manifolds and catalytic converters in tact. It now has longtube headers, is catless, and has a Borla XR1.
DarrenWS6 very nice. I’m thinking of doing something similar to that. Ride pretty smooth on the highway? I am weary to lift it because I fear the ride will suffer.
Great video bro
do you think you can help me find the front ones that you got? i tried finding them but they have the wrong upper mount. i need the stem like yours
2 years later… how are you liking them??? I’m about to buy them
They were good shocks. I did sell the truck, my buddy bought it and it's still riding good with them.
Awesome! Gonna buy them because of you!
I’ve always cut the band once the shock was on
You installed the bottom washer on the front shocks backwards. It's concaved to hug the bushing. Nothing major but the busking might split on you.
Oh damn. Good catch. Well I'll have to check that out sometime. A year later its still riding great.
@@DarrenWS6 nice! I'm getting these for my 2019 3500HD on the front and was searching for reviews.👍🏼
I just did the red head steering gear ...game changer
I drop my couple coins... ANY NON LINEAR (LEAF SPRINGS/ TORSION BARS) NEED TO HAVE FOX SHOCKS EVEN IF YOU DONT HAVE A BODY/SUSP. LIFT
They sell them for lift levels of 0 - 2", 4", and 6" lift height.
Can i install those shocks on a 05 tahoe 6in lift 2wd ?
@Darrenws6 what model fit the front shocks?
God that thing is in good shape for seeing salt since 04
What wheel and tire setup do you run?

I dont recall, but the part #s are I. The description

That's pretty low of a shop to do that. Wow. Thats one downfall to these suspensions, how easy shocks are to get at.
DarrenWS6 thank you
Hey can you check the number on the shock itself pls. The numbers printed on the shocks
I can try to do that yes. I'll get back to you.
DarrenWS6 thank you
Is it the same install for the 06 GMC Sierra 1500?
Yes sir.
Ive been trying to find these for my 06 sierra 4wd, but had no luck, instead of clevis mount they always send me the wrong ones, where did you purchase your set?
That's weird. I ordered mine directly from BDS's webpage.
Ok thanks alot just just looked em up and did find them there thank you.👍
i cant find it can you help me?@@armandomunoz2106

DarrenWS6 I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500
@@dannyboyrides4507 I'm not 100% sure. Id get on BDSsuspension.com and try and contact them. They respond well, at least before the Covid.
DarrenWS6 I’ll give that a try thanks man

Will those shocks fit my 2003 Chevy ? 6” lift also.
They definitely should. These are the BDS 6" lift shocks for the 1500s.
DarrenWS6 thanks! :)
DarrenWS6 sorry to bug you bro. I have another question. As I was going to purchase them. It said it was for 4WD. Mine is a 2WD does that matter?
Do they make 2.5s that fit a 6 inch lifted 2000 GMC Sierra 1500? I’ve been looking around and don’t wanna buy the wrong ones
You mean like making a 2.5" level to a 6" lift? I'm not real sure.
He means 2.5” diameter shocks being that yours are 2.0”
How do you like the ride with your setup? Do you have the stock leafs?
@@Range-X hmm. I believe the 2.0 is the type, cause these are 6" lift shocks. They are for the 6" BDS lift but I am running them in my Rough Country.
