I heard something like this from a client of mine. She used a freelancer for making a book. And the freelancer inserted his names and copyright ownership in the metadata of the PDF. And KDP caught my client and demanded to give proof that she is the copyright owner. She had no clue what is going on!!! At first, I could not believe her. Then, after doing researches on PDF metadat, I realized she was right. Today, seeing your video, I have got another proof that she was telling the truth.....Very interesting. One trick is to remove all Metadata and then, flatten/export as Image the PDF in order to remove the hidden codes in the PDF generated by Canva elements. Because flattening a PDF actually remove all elements from a PDF and make it a plain image file. Thank you for making all these videos. Your videos are helpful.
That is a new level of low for that freelancer, especially if he was paid for the job. Yes, one method to avoid this would be to export all pages from Canva as high-resolution PNG and then convert and combine that to PDF with some local software.
I used Canva to upload my own illustrations as JPEGs and convert them into PDFs, which allowed me to publish my book without any issues. Now, I want to create animations using Canva, incorporating my own images. However, I’m concerned about potential copyright issues, even though I will be using images that I created myself.
I feel sad ,😢 why all UA-camr & even paid course said you just editing in design & graphics it allowed and it is okay????😢😢😢 plz tell me I study SEO and understanding metadata you said , what is the soulation marina??
Yes, it is sad they do not warn about the risks. It is always risky to use Canva elements and people choose to ignore it because in most cases Amazon is not doing anything about it. But if they do, and they ask, account could be lost. You can read that in the comments under the videos, people share how they followed tutorial used Canva elements and lost their accounts but it is not shared by the content creator.
Thanks marina ,for all answered my questions❤ Plz anther one , what a bout seamless, art wall can create from canva with editing, sell on as print on redbubble, and anther it allowed or not? The file will bw png format, is that has also metadata info?? Not pdf..

very useful video. I would appreciate a little explanation about using magic media. If we create a coloring book using Canva's magic media and upload it on KDP, will it work or do we have to leave Canva's everything except formatting?
@@mirzashahid84 If you used Magic Media you have to state that in section where KDP is asking you did you use AI. That should be enough, but it is unknown. @@MarinaArtDesign I created more than 2 coloring books, and I mentioned using Canva AI in the kdp section, but they blocked my books within five minutes. You mean Canva elements for KDP, no you can't use them. A lot of people use them and get away, but if they get asked it will be risk. What exactly do you mean? Yes, people on Fiverr are selling anything, it is your responsibility to check what is allowed.
@@lynnsworldofwonder It should not. But we do not know what Amazon is checking when they check the Canva part in PDF. Plus this is only happening to unlucky few so it's all based on luck and coincidence, will system be triggered.
@@massiveactionresults You can do a lot of things with Canva, and make money doing it, that do not violate any rules. You can do all your book marketing and promo.
We can't use single element of canva on one page but we can make use of various elements from canva to make a unique design. Right? That's what I've heard.
No, that is correct for artwork from sites like Creative Fabrica or Design Bundles, but not Canva. Canva elements, free or PRO, in any way shape or form are not allowed to be used for Amazon KDP. Its in their license terms: if third party POD is asking you check you have copyright licence, then you can't use any of Canva elements.
I never used graphics, but the background removal tool is the best on the market and that app standalone is very pricey, so just to have access to BG Removal for me it is worth it. I used it in my freelance jobs so it easily covers the cost of PRO every month - just BG removal tool. But you have all the other uses, for social media, templates, A+ content.... Its great editing tool. I am also working on templates I can sell as Canva links. There are ways to justify PRO.
So, where can we get graphics for KDP books? Can we get our graphics from Creative Fabrica? How do we know if the user who uploaded a graphic on Creative Fabrica used AI or not? Also, if we do label that our book contains AI images, does Amazon allow us to use AI images in our KDP books?
@@chariots8x230 You can use Creative Fabrica images, I showed how in my recent video. If images really look like AI art (images from Creative Fabrica) then you need to acknowledge that on KDP. But since technically we did not use AI but the seller did, it is not so clear. Either way it is always recommended that images are cleaned from all errors and mistakes for use on Amazon KDP. Sellers should label they used AI but they usually do not.
