It is going to do even a better job now, I didn't see that they had put cylinder stops and that is why it was not going as deep as I wanted it to. Thanks for being here and watching.
I told my son to use his phone to get video from his angel and I was going to use the GoPro, but for what ever reason nether one of use started our camera's. It pulled right out with the Kubota helping. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed.
Scott’s Small Farming and Things . - hey cousin, from last year you know all the excitement of getting stuck. wet one it was.. thanks again for running the combine for me and fighting the good fight.
Yes and no. Both my grandparents were farmers. My parents moved off the farm, but I spent a lot of time with my grandparents on the farm. Dad sold his share of the farm back in the 90s. My mom was swindle out of her share by my uncle who now rents the ground out to a high school class mate. I have been away from the farm for a long time. I now have an off the farm job that has made it possible for me to start back over. So, I'm a little bit of both I guess.
Me too, I’m 15 and the 5th generation farmer but my grandpa has really down sized over the years and I’m trying to get everything back up and going before it’s too late
Lord that's some rough old tractors, I have one When IH designed those they called it the cab forward design and was supposed to be for a smoother ride, but that certainly didn't work out!!
I have found this way to work the best and is not to bad all things considered. I would like to get the beans planted but we keep getting forecasted frost temps so I have been holding off. Plan is to hopefully start corn today or tomorrow.
You aren't kidding. Although having the 6 floating tires did help in most spots. My field cultivator only has 2 and they can hange you up just about as easy. Thanks for watching.
"Getting old sucks" is an understatement, lol. I have a great wife, she just told me I could go ahead and get an air ride set for my 10. I just recieved the AC line kit. Hopefully by the fall I will have the new roof liner, cab liner kit, floor mat, and now a new air ride set. Maybe getting old isn't so bad, lol.
Looking good Tim! How's your ankle doing? Yep that's how we do duels. When I was a little kid had the neighbor if he weighed a hundred pounds soaking wet he was lucky. He built a bracket to hang out his loader was bearings on it. So he would clamp the rim on each side with it and then lift the wheel up and you could roll the duel on them bearings and then you just drive right up to his tractor roll the tire in line and done!
Thanks and the ankle is doing well. But using the walking boot for 3 weeks did something to my knee and that is being very loud and letting me know that it is there, lol. Puting the duals on like this has worked pretty well for me. So if it works don't change it, lol.
Glad to see you rolling again, There has been some ground worked up and planted on the dry ground around here but I haven't been able to drive on the fields yet , Still just to wet. Good quality seat time is sure nice this time of year ! Bandit
Thanks, I'm hopefully going to run the field cultivator on some of the corn ground and plant tomorrow. I still have one field going to corn that is still wet in the middle. With the possibility of frost this weekend, I'm still holding off on beans.
Thanks for the ride along. What year is your 10? Mine is a 76. I see you have a digital dash. Mine doesn't have the digital dash. I hope the weather so warms up and the ground dries up.
I'm not sure but I know it is a 79 or 80. One number says 79 and a nother one says 80. We are drying out nice. If it wasn't for the possibility of a frost later this week, I would have planted beans Saturday. But have now refocused on corn since it is drying out.
This tractor was a great find. It needs some more TLC but it is a work horse. Ordered new AC line kit and hope to have them in later this week. It is a sauna in the cab. And that slick spot was like quick sand, once I started in I was a goner, lol. Thanks for your encouragement.
Hi Tim thanks for taking the time to respond to my last comment about your GPS switch hook up. I'm looking forward to your video about how the finished product is working and how exactly you made your connections. You sure have nice equipment.
I'm glad the info was helpful. I started editing the video tonight, so hopefully I can have it done in a day or two. Thanks, I have been very blessed to have come across some nice equipment. There have been a lot of small to mid size farmers starting to retire which leads to good deals on well maintained equipment. Thanks for being here and watching.
I've never seen putting on duals look effortless, bravo! And don't feel about sticking the 10 in that spot.... I got the outer dual on a 5288 half covered in mud and messed my pants! Btw, that Kewanee cuts nice and level!
Thanks for the nice words. It just started sliding over like I was on ice. It happened so fast. Neither one of us started recording the video when we were pulling it out, lol.
Glad to see you're out in the field turning dirt. I've never mounted axle mount duals, but that looks to be a great way to do it. I like the names of your fields lol. Thanks for sharing the video Tim
Thanks for watching and glad you are enjoying. I have to get caught up on videos. I'm hoping to plant corn in some of the fields before the rain tomorrow. There is one field that is being stubborn and will not dry out, so we are waiting on that one, lol.
That disc is doing a hell of a job!!👍💪
It is going to do even a better job now, I didn't see that they had put cylinder stops and that is why it was not going as deep as I wanted it to. Thanks for being here and watching.
1st high or 4 low with ta up
I have always left the ta up. I use 4 low probably 90% of the time. Thanks for being here and commenting.
Chiseled land like riding a bunking bronco . Hey thanks for the ride on the 1086 . Disk doing a fine job . Sorry you got stuck .
I told my son to use his phone to get video from his angel and I was going to use the GoPro, but for what ever reason nether one of use started our camera's. It pulled right out with the Kubota helping. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed.

Are you 1st generation

I'm 56 now and have spent the last 10 years pretty much starting from scratch. Good luck and be patient.

I heard that on an IH promotional add, "for a smoother ride" agree, not a smoother ride. But I love the RED POWER, lol. Thanks for watching.
Installing tires by yourself sure can be a pain. Glad you're out in the field- still too wet here!
I have found this way to work the best and is not to bad all things considered. I would like to get the beans planted but we keep getting forecasted frost temps so I have been holding off. Plan is to hopefully start corn today or tomorrow.
It’s nice to pull a big disc, until you find a wet spot. Lol
You aren't kidding. Although having the 6 floating tires did help in most spots. My field cultivator only has 2 and they can hange you up just about as easy. Thanks for watching.
Nice seeing the 10,in action,,ran a new one 1982,for my unless farm, loved it.but know my neck couldn't take it..getting old sucks... Be safe..

I'm falling apart, lol.

great video Tim. I enjoyed the ride. ground had a slick spot or two. you got to be loving that tractor.

Looks like your tractor is working out good. Hope your weather straightens out and you can have a good year
Things are going pretty good now. Hopefully it continues. Thanks for watching.
Glad they turned you loose! Yeah, that first day back in the saddle hurts.
Thanks for being here and watching. I'm getting better dut it is slow.
