One of the things I always regret when rolling with a newer guy is when I let up and let them work their games a bit. If they get side control, some will squeeze and apply pressure as if in a competition. When that happens, I never let the guy get on top of me again (if I can help it).
Yeah dude that's a Peruvian necktie. I love rolling with people I've never rolled with and i don't know their rank too, no expectations and you just have to be aware of everything. I've been going down to a 10p on the weekends to get some more no gi in. I also popped my ankle in a toehold i didn't even realize he had lol it's all good though.
So many more injuries happen standing... especially if I don't know you, i'm starting on the ground.. tho knowing takedowns is crucial, catastrophic injuries are going to happen there waay more often
Loving the videos! They keep getting better with time too.
Really technical and nice flow. Been watching since you were white belt. Gives me hope to one day get to your level.
Thanks. I really appreciate it. I'll be back uploading sooner than later hopefully..
Yes sir, Peruvian Necktie! Well executed too. Thx for the post Kyle. Oss!
Tryna get that in my attacks from the turtle...✊🏾
That guy is white belt imo
Nice analysis. I agree with your take on top pressure. Things really open up when the guy on the bottom gets uncomfortable!

This happened to me yesterday. I Let this new guy work to mount. He squeezed my head and ear so tight, I swear I couldnt hear for a second.
@@SlackerBlue That sucks! I am sure you revoked his privileges and he has to work for it from now on.

Wrong, mid 30s, not an MMA guy either. Keep up the good work being Mr. BJJ safety commissioner
