Another very helpful video! The concepts are very well explained. I totally agree with you that concepts are more important than individual techniques. My jiu-jitsu has skyrocketed since I started thinking about things like establishing grips, t-rex arms, not letting the head being controlled, etc. I'm looking forward to that kimura trap video! Keep up the good work!
I can only imagine how stressful this time of year can be, even in the best of times...so there's really no need to apologize for the delay. I think it's our governments and their overreach when it comes to this pandemic who should be apologizing. Healthy people by every metric I've seen seem to be the most protected, yet instead of encouraging people to get (or stay) healthy and keeping physical activities open, they'd rather impose restrictions and controls. 🙄 Great video, and congratulations on passing the 35k subscriber mark. Wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022 and beyond! 😊🎄👊
Another great video. As a brand new no stripe whitey, could you make a video on the top 5 or 10 or whatever first concepts and techniques to master? E.g. I’m generally told create space on defense, kill space on offense, don’t reach, get grips and don’t allow grips on you, underhooks are good, too much muscle is bad etc…. Danaher seems to think starting with escapes from mount, side control, and back mount are best. Basically, there is just so much to take in its like drinking from a fire hose. What are the main few things I should focus on “mastering” before moving on to which next things?
I actually disagree with danahar on that one. I always had sub par escapes because my mentality was "don't get there". In return I developed a really good guard because I knew the consequences of getting it passed. It wasn't until blackbelt I started letting people put me in bad spots so I could truly learn defense at a high level. I've got something like that planned, which will be out soon 🙂
Great video. Can you make videos talking about how to deal with injuries? I am currently dealing with triceps tendonities on both arms that prevents me from training.
Thanks for these great concepts. I really like the T-rex arms to prevent head control. I watched a youtube video that showed another way to prevent head control. The way this instructor did it was by making a frame by putting the palm of his hand on the side of his head. What do you think about this method of preventing head control when someone is trying to pass? Do you think this way is as good as the T-rex arms?

Great video dude. I saved it in my favorites, feel like it’s one of those videos you can watch every week just as a reminder of basic, extremely important tips. Thanks for putting this together.
Thanks man! I agree. The best way to utilize this video is watch before training often until you remember everything and don't need to watch it anymore 🙂
T-Rex arms are such a great concept I never thought about. Thanks Jordan!
One of my favourites! 👊
"Unless your opponent is a zombie, which presents it's own problems." I love this
Deadpan delivery was great
This is so easy to understand! You explain everything so well. Clear and straight to the point
ONE SPECIAL DEMAND FOR YOU: no grappling instructor wanted to show this to me. Learning to roll under exhaustion. I figured my instructors didnt and us that tool cause they know we'll catch up to them when we know how to. Thanks in advance.
Ooo that's a good idea! I'll add that to the list!
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu yeah, that is an interesting one that's rarely/never covered - everyone just kind of works it out for themselves. But it's a thing to understand better, and also has relevance to street encounters and combat in general. Who gets tired first loses.
My ears perked up at "worst case ontario" xD Northern Ontario resident here, and huge fan of your content man. Mega helpful- appreciate everything you're doing here. and may these restrictions come and go quickly.
This video is packed with so much wisdom I’ll be watching it daily until the next one comes out! Thanks Jordan!
I love the mixture between the concepts and the 'simple' tricks. Keep it up!
Took me 12 years to come across those concepts and become aware of them. Great teaching!
Haha love the videos and dry humor. This helps me! Very useful! Can you also in case you haven’t do videos for knee on belly and escape back takes?
Awesome video as always. Christmas is right around the corner and a Kimura concept video would be the greatest gift of all! 😂
Hahaha yes it would be. Will have to wait just a little longer though!
Really high quality content! Your videos helped me step up my game a lot! Keep it up
Glad to hear it 👊
Concepts over memorising techniques - love this
Remarkable and inspiring. Excellent narrative. You're fun too!
I am going to watch this video many many times! Thanks
🙏🙏🙏
You’re amazing at jiu jitsu, and a great teacher! Thankyou for that!
I appreciate that so much. Thank you!
This small tips and adjustments are huge game changers
Quality content as always
Jordan,
Love your videos, you should consider putting them on rumble as well. A lot of people are switching over due to youtube’s heavy censorship.
Another awesome video. The way you break everything down and simplify techniques and why things work is such a great help in learning BJJ. And a massive Baaaaaaaaam for dropping the worst case Ontario comment in.
I can't give you a Bam son...but I can give you A GREEN EGGS AND HAAAAAAMMMM
I just wrote every tip down in my training journal. Thank you so much for doing this video!
Loving the videos. Super helpful for all those things that people seem to know but don’t know to tell when teaching. Keep up the awesome content!
Making jujitsu simple.
Amazing video.
Thanks
Thanks for the awesome concepts! 🔥🔥🔥
My pleasure!!
Jordan my man. This is seriously one of the best bjj instructional videos on ytb. And I've seen like hundrets of 'em. If you'll visit Europe, we'll be honored by your visit at GB Czech republic. Cool content man. Very cool indeed.
Very underrated video, thank you for all the information
Thanks for another great video! One tip that has helped me win a lot more scrambles was to get your hips higher than your opponents, but honestly all of them have helped me a ton!
These tip videos are top notch and super useful!
Thank you 🙏
Awesome video as always! The quality of every video is amazing dude. both the content and editing. Who films these man.
Thanks man 🙏 One of my students, Patrina holds the camera and I do the rest of the work. She's the only one with a steady hand haha. She does a great job!
First time watching the channel here, I'm still a new white belt, took a lot from it.
Now a subscriber, thanks.
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it 🙏
I know it can be annoying to repeat the same concepts through your videos (like the grips war thing), but I assure you that it helps a lot of people, including me, to get these ideas into their heads.
Love this video. Thanks for all the great content!
Glad you enjoy it! Thank for watching and being a long term subscriber 🙏
Outstanding video! Love the concepts idea!
Concepts more important than techniques….I love that. I am much more of a big picture person than a detailed person.
My new favorite channel man! Good content
Glad you enjoy it!
This is the best bjj channel on UA-cam, hands down.
Great video, and congratulations on passing the 35k subscriber mark. Wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022 and beyond! 😊🎄👊
Amazing video Jordan, always learn so much from them. So cool to see Harry in it!!
Always have to watch one of your videos to pumped me up before going to Jujitsu practice. Thank you!
Haha thanks man! Happy to hear that, especially if stuff I show is of use during training 🙂
Just refreshed some pretty good concepts right there, great video
Great video! Jordan I enjoy all your videos, but can you please do more like this one?
I will for sure! These ones just take so much time but I've hired an editor to free up time for me and will get back to making more like this 🙂
Fantastic video absolutely filled with high yield tips
I've got something like that planned, which will be out soon 🙂
thank you for the hard work, your videos are valuable.
Thank you! Glad my hard work is appreciated 🙏👊
Love the focus on concepts. Thanks for this video. And also sending good vibes to you during this time and I hope you guys come out ok.
Very very helpful! Way easier then trying to remember a move
Great video. Can you make videos talking about how to deal with injuries? I am currently dealing with triceps tendonities on both arms that prevents me from training.
Absolutely fantastic!
Thank you 🙏
This video was so helpful!! Thank you for putting out excellent content!
Excellent video - thanks!
Thank you!
This video has been game-changung for me and I still return to it. Cheers Jordan!
This video was a Christmas gift thank you
Great video Jordan! Keeping hands separated was a great reminder/tip 💪🏽
Amazing content bro! Been spreading the word for you.
Very kind of you! Thank you 🙏
