Gintama and Gintoki also changed me life. When I had harsh time, Gintama helped me to understand that "If you want to see the sun, you should continue looking in the sky, even if it's overcast". As goofy as Gintoki is, once he give advice, he speak the truth. That's resonance to me a lot because I was like a clown in my circle group and everyone never take me seriously. But as we all doing marathon watching all the episode of Gintama for a week, they slowly realized that goofy person can be serious too. And I was the nearest example for that. Glad they're understand. Even tho I always act like I don't really care about serious stuf, but I actually care so much. Sometime, I want them to rely on me and I want to be trusted too.
gintoki has hes own bushido the bushido that every man suppose to have love and protect those who are precious for you. even when he fights hes enemys he fights they'r ideas rather then people themsalves and finds the place in hes hart for them to. every time anyone preaching some evil ideas he slams them with his own ideas and morality strikes trough the heart and stands by hes word till the end. hes words are so heartwarming and even funny to. i love all characters in gintama my favorites are gintoki and madao they are my rolemodels for honorable human beeings. hasegava is on the bottom of society but has more honor then lots of others when i talk about hasegawa daigoro ark always comes to mind the thing he did for that child is how real man suppose to act. madao your are kindest and best samurai

Your editing is great, I really like the style. And the series Gintama is always in my top 3, changing depending on what I am watching at the moment. Gintoki as a character is always my favorite character. Even if I am obsessing over a different anime and its characters, and haven't watched anything Gintama in a while. Gintoki just always stays in place as my favorite. He really left an impact and it feels so fitting. A lot of main characters leave an impact on the characters around them, it's part of the story. But Gintoki is just one of those characters that affect everyone in and out of fiction I think.
I love Gintama not only for great serious plot but also for all these little wholesome moments. Gintoki, Kagura and Shinpachi bonds and dynamics between them and every other character. This show is a masterpiece

I picked up writing because of how much Gintama as a whole effected my life. That's also why my UA-cam, and Podcast have "Silver Story" in them...and I have atleast one Gintoki character in every soulseborne game. Your editing and everything is amazing. Yes!! This is why Gintoki is my favorite anime character and part of the reason why Gintama is my favorite anime! Out of all the anime characters, he's the most realistic and relatable that he leaves you with such a deep impression. And I totally get the idea about maintaining an image in society and that being successful or competing, like you said, really affects your self-esteem. For instance, when relatives always compete about whose kid is the most successful or when you're constantly being compared to cousins and you feel bad because you feel like shit compared to them. From this, Gintoki encourages me to be myself with no pretenses. Which is why (sorry if I sound stupid or weird for saying this, but...) Gintoki is the dream boyfriend I wish I had 😔
I loved listening to this, I myself got really attached to this show when I moved cities as a kid and had trouble making new friends at school, but I never felt alone. I think I avoided falling into a depression all due to gintoki and his friends who were like family I could return to.
I find myself relating the most to shinpachi, i truly admire gintoki and his depth. Yet at the same time i am at a time where i still need to work towards me being strong ,in action and charecter.

Gintama, GTO and Cowboy Bebop taught me a lot life lesson and helped me moved forward more than i realize especially when rereading/rewataching it after you've become adult the theme and the massage of the stories become more relatable as you go through life. Even though shonen jump is mainly for teenage boys, gintama is the anime for when you groe up and get mature and things change and you cant be a kid anymore. So Gintama is there to help you laugh and feel emotions and just overall help you emotionally and physically with yourself. When i first watched gintama i never felt so many emotions in thr soaj of 3 minths watching gintama. It changed me as a person and view life and experience life much differently
Tbh, I know what you mean. There's something comforting and reassuring in having someone like Gintoki as a protagonist, who doesn't have a grand goal in life and is simply trying to live day by day as he tries to figure himself out. I feel like so many people in my family already have these big life goals that range from careers, family, and travel. Yet I'm just struggling to achieve the basic bare minimum and really don't have an idea of what I want to do anymore; even though the world would find that kind of life unacceptable as people project the success and happiness of their life 24/7 on the internet. It also makes me think of the amazing teacherly advice Shouyou gives to Takasugi on the definition of a samurai, and how he used the metaphor of how it's not necessarily a "definitive goal" so much as it is "being lost and wandering." You don't know what you want, you're still trying to figure out who you are and where you're going; and that's not a bad thing. You can still live life to the fullest while still not having an "endgame" by forging your own path and holding on to your principles in life. So long as you continue to wander and change, you'll eventually figure it out. I don't know where I'm going in life and still don't have things figured out as much as my family, but seeing Gintoki and Co. trying to live their life one day at a time with no particular ambition gives me a sense of peace and reassurance that I didn't think I could feel from an anime other than Studio Ghilbi. And hopefully more people like us can find their way to this anime with each new generation.

If a jin gives me 3 whishes I'm sure 1 of them would be about gintama. Whenever i hear someone talking about gintama, tears starts to come out of my eyes, in the background (koko wa samurai kuni da) starts playing and gin san's voice starts roaming in my head idk but i just love gintama.
Gintama made me a socialist. Not to get all political, but it really made me realize that I want to help people and use my time on earth to make it a better place. Before that, i was stuck and depressed, i felt i had no purpose, and whenever i found purpose, it was ripped away. It hit a point where i stopped trying and no longer cared about my place in the world. Then i watched Gintama, and that drive was put right back into me. I saw the perfect example of a good man. Flawed, but ready to die in order to protect anyone who needs him. His flaws dont matter when he lays his life down for someone else, and those flaws are what make him interesting and attract people to him. Gintama changes lives. it's beautiful. Without Gintama and Dark Souls, i would be a husk of a man.

My role model is Luffy, i am very proud of him and his decisions generally. Gintama made me a socialist. Not to get all political, but it really made me realize that I want to help people and use my time on earth to make it a better place. Before that, i was stuck and depressed, i felt i had no purpose, and whenever i found purpose, it was ripped away. It hit a point where i stopped trying and no longer cared about my place in the world. Then i watched Gintama, and that drive was put right back into me. I saw the perfect example of a good man. Flawed, but ready to die in order to protect anyone who needs him. His flaws dont matter when he lays his life down for someone else, and those flaws are what make him interesting and attract people to him. Gintama changes lives. it's beautiful. Without Gintama and Dark Souls, i would be a husk of a man.
Great video man reminds me of why I love Bleach so much. Oh and Gintama in here in the West is criminally underrated 💯. More people need to know about this series.

My role model is Luffy, i am very proud of him and his decisions generally. His goal is having fun (finding one piece is about travelling and having fun, not about the treasure), he doesnt hate people or society, he is sincere and kind, he asks people what they really want and brings out their good sides. He literally brings freedom into the world and smiles to his friends and his fans. Not taking things seriously is Luffy's thing, it's something he is embodying for 27 years straight, because only then you can be free and happy. What people think about you, isnt your problem. Luffy is the deffinition of FREEDOM.
