I couldn’t find a good video for a solid half square, but this one is so good! Very easy to follow for me, and also my friend (who just started to crochet a few days ago). Thank you!!
I am so grateful for finding this video. I'm relearning how to crochet and was having a difficult time making the triangles for my son's blanket. The written directions were driving me nuts. Thank you, Bronislava, for your clear instructions--I appreciate the visual help you provided.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you...I need to make several rows of half triangle squares in a Tongan-inspired pattern for an afghan for my granddaughter’s dorm room. Your pattern is exactly what I need! No need for any trial and error experimenting. Thanks again!
Bronislava 4 HandmadeRukodelky You are too kind. She is in college on a music scholarship and so far, is very happy there and makes excellent grades. Her mother’s birth father is from Tonga, and I want to give her something to honor her heritage. Family from there came to her graduation, and adorned her with flower leis and a flower crown. I thought they were so nice!
I love all different cultures because they all have interesting customs - and music varies in different parts of the world - I hope she will spread wonderful songs to people around - I wish I had that talent, but I am tone deaf - so that much more I admire wonderful sounds 😁
Ali Wehr thank you for your interest! I created a "granny squares" playlist with 5 videos so far. In one video I am attaching squares with cable stitch and the second video where I am attaching them with single stitch - I will be adding videos when I find time to videotape more :-)ua-cam.com/play/PLKziL--y2iAXncwk9fVfRvIxJRdpvTe7v.html
Hi Wanda, yes absolutely - you make as many squares as you need for the length and width, then you just make as many triangles for the edges as you need as well, that is if you are connecting squares in a diagonal way... you are the master designer 🌹
Hi, absolutely - just connect them into a rectangle of your desired width and length, preferably make it from a thinner yarn (#2) with a hook for yarn #4 - this way it will not be so stiff, it will feel more "flowy" 🍀 🍀 🍀
these squares are for diagonal granny square blanket... you connect only two short sides - the long side is the edge, that you crochet over with an edge pattern 🍀
Checked 20 videos for a triangle. Yours is with the best instructions. Thank you.

Could you make a shawl just keep going until you get the length you want.

If I don't wanna do the full square and I only wanna do the one set how do I connect it to the other half of the other color
Sew it together
Could this pattern make up a shawl...

Cause I only want to do one row and then connect it with a different color
