talk about custom built, you sure got the tools and the intuition to do it, thanks for the ride, flyin' mud and all. Big Smiles
That rig is almost new. Extremely low hours and miles. I'm jealous again. Cool new toy my friend.
Thanks! I wasn't going to buy it, but I got such a good deal I couldn't pass it up
@@MotoCheez I don't blame you. That thing is beautiful. I wouldn't give a testicle for it but I would for the mini truck. 🤣
@@MotoCheez some asshole just shat in my pants. It could have me but I know it wasn't my brand. It was you!🤥
Great Video as always!! loved the test drive part. there is no windshield on start of drive, on a couple drive by shots it has the windshield and back cover and is sunny!! ;) its a great addition to the fleet! cant wait to see the adventures you go on in this one.
Sweet dude! And that thing looks like it was hardly used at all.
You got a new ride and I got a new ride also! I sold the DR650 and bought a 2014 Triumph Tiger 800XC tonight as a matter of fact. Major upgrade from the DR!
Enjoy the new ride!
you have so far hit almost every 4x4 project build I've want to do except one...a Subaru BRAT- yeah thats a challenge especially up north!, good luck finding one of those in decent shape for a good price.
BTW- love the mini truck and hopefully future SXS content!
I love the Brats! I have a set of OEM seats I've been saving if I ever find a decent one like you say, rust
So Jealous! But i'm jealous of everyone that gets anything i can't get. lol, Great find!! I can feel the fun in the air and.....
Love it I live vicariously through you I need more mini truck !!! Just saying
Sweet rig. Little tip to help out when mig welding thicker materials, give the metal a preheat with a torch, lays a sweet bead.
Thanks! Yes that's a good tip, works great on cast iron (stops cracks) and aluminum (unless you Tig)
@@MotoCheez i almost always preheat aluminium for tig. Prevents hydrogen from getting trapped in the puddle.
I seriously dislike side-by-sides but I love MotoCheez vids! Hope ya have fun with the new toy.
They are big, fat and easy to drive so people take them on atv trails, destroy the trails and get them closed for the rest of us. They are cool in sand pits, beaches, your own property or places like dirt roads. They tend to give people who don't normally ride trails the (false) confidence to do it at the cost of amateurs driving fat, heavy, wide, trail destroying, damn near full size vehicle through places they don't belong. So yeah in general I dislike them even though they are wicked cool machines.
I bought one of these new in 09 great machine loved it kinda miss the smaller machines when it truly was closer to a atv I have a 16 turbo rzr xp it's fun just huge and expensive!I sold my 09 to my friend who extended it 8 inches and put a apex snowmobile motor in it did a great job looks factory and rips
Definitely going to need a tool kit for the rzr
Polaris RZR's are not my jam but you did a nice job and thank you for sharing.
MotoCheez drove a Can-Am Defender Pro this past summer up in Canada and just like everything about the Can-Am Defender line.
@@danielfisch655 Mavericks are just nicer Lol. but one a toy and one a worker
Used boat plugs to mount a bracket for the box in the back of my 900s
Love the Southpark reference.
I think it would look pretty bad ass with a nice hood scoop for cooling
I would say it needs more air. If you put slots in the front maybe put some mesh screen behind it. My neighbors race an RZR in local and desert races and have modified the Grogan out of it. Should make an excellent bomb arounder.
🚘meep
They run plenty cool it has to travel through hoses all the way to the rear plus electric fan
Hell yes!
Having driven a 2009 800s 10,000 miles in Arizona heat as hard as I can.......I'd say the holes are not necessary.......Polaris engineering is unmatched, when it works..........
I've seen others say the opposite. Rather have the best airflow possible.
That's bad ass !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey @motocheez how did the UE Boom speaker do in the RZR? I’m curious about getting 2 of those speakers paired together in my RZR, not sure if I’ll hear music over engine noise etc
It worked great, even with the one I could hear it good over the engine even going down the road
Definitely would vent the plastic for more air flow on the radiator. Don’t want any overheating issues. Will the side by side fit in the back of the mini Truck?
Agree. No, it's 10" too wide and a foot too long. The standard RZR would fit width size, it's 50" like the bed.
Would a top bonnet scoop with a grill feed air in enough to cool the radiator from the top - n0mad
Someone sent me a link and another guy has one of those covers. He says they work great, the scoop is non functional because there's storage below it.
Patrol Mini ? ?
Dont have one but I'd drill sum holes in it, can always cover em up in the winter if it runs too cool.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Did you or have plans on the tail pipe? When my buddy got done using boat trailer, it's too piping HOT to touch it because tailpipe blows down to it hahaha!!! My Polaris Ace 500 have different set up tailpipe doesn't blow down to hitch.
I did see it blows downward. Never thought about the heat! I'll look into that for sure. I'd mostly use it jockey stuff around my land.
got cold just watching this ...its 87 in Daytona fl. right now ..warm spell should be in the 70's ..race sunday .. I am going out on motorcycle if no rain ..
what are you looking for .. fishing , some hills and fields, no swamp not to hot [ for fla. ] good back bike roads and wood trails .. think Ocala area , middle of state , easy gulf easy atlantic , I-75 north and I-10 west close ...45 miles I-95 .. guess its still down to working ./ jobs etc .. everything a trade off in the end .. if I can be of help . about what is going on in what ever area your thinking about ..

Will it fit on Mini's bed? Don't really know why, just curious.
I wanted to do that, but this one is the s model which is 60 in wide it will not fit
If not speed holes what about a fan on the rad? Hook it up to a temp sensor maybe.
It has an automatic fan already. Just saying even with the fan it's not going to be very efficient
Alot louder than mini huh? Sold mine and got a mini! Quiet and warm!
how was minitruck after he heard the news of you getting the side by side, ha, it looks nice. where did you find it at?
@@MotoCheez nice, when i saw the pic on instagram thought you got it from rex4x4 but then i thought he just got it, i dought he would get rid of it.
Just run it. I have same yr. it has fan that comes on when u need it.
Still have the JK? Haven’t seen any Jeep vids in awhile
Yes. Still have. I want to do a full walkthru if my setup soon. A lot of ppl have asked
Great video. I want one now. Had one and wish I never sold it. Anyone knows of a good deal let me know
I just bought a rzr just like this one and I know the old owner drove it hard and there are no radiator mods
I've got a lot of people reply that they've never had issues but I rather be saved than sorry...
I think its more (most) important that you keep the radiator clean, probably 90% of RZR owners didnt wash out their radiators, engines overheated, yada yada... I would think a simple fan could move 10x more air (even with a mild restriction) than puttering around at 25mph with a few more speed holes.
Agreed, but a fan pulling thru a small hole compared to a larger one closer to the size of the radiator is still better.
@@MotoCheez I bought one of these for my '50 Ford F1, painted it black and installed it in a day for $75. www.ebay.com/itm/Compact-Heater-Deluxe-Kit-Truck-Hot-Rod-Roadster-Coupe-Vintage-SoCal-SCTA-32-V8/392295255590?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 If you jump into this worm hole and search around you can find different kinds and sizes... If cooling is concern you could put one of them in as back up cooling for the summer and heat for the winter.
I'm interested in getting a mini truck and currently have a Can-Am Commander (2012 LTD) that I'm thinking about getting rid of and just replace with a mini. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the pros and cons between the two, especially when it comes to off-road. I don't think a mini could ever do as much as a side by side, but I don't do as much extreme stuff as I once used to (hill climbs, mudding, fast riding, etc...). I think I like the benefits of jumping in a mini and heading into town via public roads. This comparison could maybe be a possible video idea for you! I know in your past videos you have really been impressed with mini's off-road capability, but did what were you comparing it against? Thanks.
Hi. I had a 2010 Polaris ranger xp800 prior. Mini doesn't have the suspension so you'll have to go slower, but you'd be surprised where it'll go! I like the fact I can use it on the road and it's fully enclosed with a huge bed and heat! I did just pick up a RZR
Thanks MotoCheez. Keep pumping out mini videos and let us know more opinions in future videos. Maybe there is a retrofit that can be done to mini other than lift kits?? I think the smaller/early model Polaris and Can-Ams only have 12" suspensions. Not sure if you could ever get that kind of movement out of a mini... Thanks again.
Make more videos of them
Hey moto, ya need to give "razor" a good name that fits him.... I mean "razor" can't go without a name, that just wouldn't be right. Lol
How about Silver Fox...it's silver, has fox shocks and slyly slid right in to that garage and Mini's heart!
Shoulda brought your gloves ? Yep.
What kinda of camera do you use for pov
@@MotoCheez I'm gonna get me a pair so when I go skeet shooting I can record me busting clays thank you
Good idea! They'd be good for that. Typically they record a little high because they're made for bicycling I believe.
Newer rzr 800 models the hood isn’t the same and grill is different and bigger
Geez that winch looked as much fun to install as the one on my Suzy King Quad 700. You need to be somewhere between Rubber man and GI Joe with Kung Fu grip to install that thing. Worse than a first date in a Volkswagen fer Chrissakes. (insert porn music) 🧔
Only year for factory Chromoly a arms i've got the same rzr i bought new in 09

They buy these for their grandchildren to run around on and annoy all us po folks.
Thinking about buying some piano wire.
In your climate you probably wont have overheating issues.
@@MotoCheez
There's an old repair shop story of some guy complaining about his truck overheating going down the highway. Mechanic goes out to get the truck but comes right back in and writes down on the service sheet "remove snow plow, it's summer."
If it's Chineasium, you know it's a custom job
9000th view 😁😎👍🏼
cut the shape of a mustache into the front hood ... have you named it yet ..
I will cut a big opening under the word Polaris for better air circulation no holes will look funny for my opinion
pffft.a..dtaat second again.................
Why have a winch?
Excessive optimism + actual driving skills + reality = Likelihood of needing a winch. 😏
To lift a plow and other attachments... And a back up. Tell that to someone who has buried a 1000lb machine in the mud alone 😁
1st!
Or last :/
I have had an 800S since 2014 and wheeled it from upstate NY to south Texas in the summer. No issues with overheating at all. The only time I have heard of anyone overheating is on a Sportsman 1000 XP in some deep silty water that blocked the radiator. Great find!
Awesome. Thanks for the info. I've heard about the sediment issue
