Kay, Thank you for taking the time and energy to create today’s video. It has been so fascinating to learn about what goes on behind the scenes in your work. You are so fortunate to be the “face” of such a wonderful team. I love how you check in with the “Boss” everyday before you start your working day.
You may not view your work as a ministry, but I definitely believe that you are ministering to everyone of us. In every area of our lives, we need to have people who demonstrate true human values not only in their personal lives but especially in their work. The clothes that we wear are an integral part of our daily existence so we need to have role models who embody fashion sense and style as well as ethics and moral values. It is not necessary for you to mention your faith or religious preferences because your integrity comes from that foundation and then, it pervades everything that you do.
I truly believe that the most important aspect of your work is not the outfit you are wearing today or the styling tips that you are sharing - the most significant contribution of your work is the Love and human compassion that is underlying everything that you do. Thank you.

I found your journey so interesting....it mirrors my own journey as well from teacher, to mother, to freelance writer, and then I started my own PR/MKT/ADV firm doing promotions for small businesses. I did that for 20 years until we moved to the country and I designed/built and ran an art studio selling my own artwork and the artwork of about 25 other artists. For me learning the trends is so important, thank you. I was wondering how and when you had time to cook!!!

I have followed other blog posts, trying to find down to earth, practical fashion sense and suggestions....but most are kind of "idea" based outfit of the day things that are pricey and not who I really am. YOU hit the nail on the head each and every day. I can connect with your lifestyle, your fashion taste for real living and just so much more. I am SO glad I found your blog and eagerly look forward to it daily! And you know what REALLY connects with me? Your Blessed For My Day meditation each day! Sometimes I scroll to that first! Your reflections always seem to be just what I need and worded in a way that feels like I am talking to a dear friend. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all you are and all you share. I knew I was drawn to you for some reason now I know it’s more than the wonderful content but your love for God! I too try to start my day with God’s word and prayer but if I don’t because I get busy with work (I work from home) I can feel the effects. I'm a little late to watching your video because of a busy season, but I'm glad I had a chance to see a peek behind the scenes. It's so sweet how your husband supports you through your business and that you are able to work together. I'm a bit younger than your target demographic, so I always add (and under 50) when you mention women over 50. LOL I'm always encouraged by your videos, no matter the topic. I appreciate that you offer so many general style tips and advice so that they can be applied by anyone, even when their style, body type, or budget may be different than yours. Thanks!

Thanks, Kay, for this fun and informative video.I have always wondered what went on behind the scenes - a lot of work, I found out! Thanks for sharing and helping us to feel confident and comfortable in what we are wearing. I've been retired for several years and thought it didn't matter what I looked like anymore and that no one cared. I mostly dressed in a very relaxed way (grubby is a better word - ha!). Your videos helped me realize that I DO matter and how I dress for my day does make me feel better about myself. I'm sure my husband appreciates it as well 😉

It struck me today what you said about some hurtful comments. We all go through life and learn to be immune to that but still it is difficult to understand why others are being mean without any particular reason or purpose...
At 43 I have recently experienced something similar when accidentally heard my sister in law gossiping about me and spreading some serious lies. She pretended to be my friend for 14 years... Well, family gatherings will be a bit different from now on I guess.

I really appreciate your sharing this video with us. Your videos and blog posts look so effortless, but I knew that there had to be a lot of work behind them. It is wonderful that you enjoy the work that you put in to it. I also start my day with some devotional time (after feeding the pets and other morning necessities). I am in my early 70s (how did that happen?!) and I began to realize that paying attention (again) to my appearance in the way that you teach makes me feel better and shows my gratitude to God for who I am and how He has blessed me. Thank you, Kay and family, for all you do.

I confess I had no idea how much work was involved in your presentations on ytube and other platforms! Oh, Kay...lots of what you said really resonates with me. I'm 52, have homeschooled my 3 children for the past 17 years and the last (twins) are heading to college in a few weeks. So, this past year I went back and got a couple of certificates and (like you, I couldn't imagine going to work for someone else at this point) in January I started my own business doing accounting contract work. My education is in finance, but it's been a LONG time. Being your own IT department (😳) can be maddening!! 😉However, I really enjoy working for myself and the flexibility that it gives me.
Oh..and I heard about you from The Daily Connoisseur's YT membership.
Congratulations! That is wonderful. Hang in there with it. Your business will grow (if you want it to) and you will enjoy it more and more. But it does become a little all-consuming, too, if we’re not vigilant about keeping things in balance. Thanks so much for sharing. 🥰

Hello Kay and thank you for such an inspirational video. I admire you so much and it was so interesting to gain a little insight in to how much time and effort goes in to your work and how integral your values are to what you put out on your platforms. I’m going to turn 50 this Christmas and thanks to you and Marie-Anne Le cour, I feel ready and excited for this new phase. I think it was you that called it Act 2? I am so very lucky to have a wonderful husband and 3 children, 2 of whom are university now and I am excited to show up as you put it as I progress forward. I work as a staff nurse and of course that means I wear a uniform but I am enjoying developing my style and I am making sure I get dressed for my day even if I wear uniform for part of it! I hope to have time going forward to join some groups or engage more actively with friends or go out with my husband for a meal more. I love how you keep up with technology and how you are always learning and progressing and bringing in the pay check. I hope I can continue to be my best self too.

I truly look forward to seeing you and reading your thoughts about life and fashion. Right now I'm particularly enjoying any of your information about saving money on clothing and saving for retirement. My husband plans on retiring in June or July 2023, so we're trying very hard to finish preparing for retirement. It's kind of scary thinking about retiring when just about everything is soaring in price. But, then I step back and remember all the times that God has provided during our times of need; he's never once let us down. We are certainly blessed by a faithful God! (Joshua 21:45 "Not one of all the Lord's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled") Oh, and you look especially beautiful today!

This was very interesting. I can only imagine your day. I’m a blog reader and a video watcher. There are days that I never look at Instagram. So I can’t imagine how much you do in your day. I have thought about doing something. But I don’t have the energy. That matters too. I’m sure you need a lot of energy to do what you do. I’ve been retired for years. And I have a lot of grandkids. Who I love to spend time with. School is starting here next week. So one of my granddaughters starts kindergarten this year. And the oldest one that lives close will be a senior this year. I buy them what we can. Clothes, shoes and probably some supplies. There are six kids in their house and my daughter works her butt off. But with that many kids it costs a lot. Who knows. Maybe someday I’ll start making videos. I’m not getting any younger.
