Thank you for showing casual outfits. Being retired means 99% of the time I am dressed casually in jeans. I still want to know how to keep a casual wardrobe current, styli sh and comfortable. Please incorporate some casual outfits in your future videos.
Like I said time and time again thanks for all the help you give us ladies and most of all thank you for the time you spend bringing ❤️ these style tips to us.
Love the blouse, Kay! It is already out of stock which shows how good you are at selecting great styles. Perhaps they will restock it soon. Love your videos!
Thank you Kay. You are my vitamins with your vidéos. You make me feel good . I Watch your video every sunday afternoon with my little cup of coffee and your advices are excellent for me. Bises from France!☕️💐
Good morning Kay. I recently updated my lounge wear and I totally agree with you on having some matching pieces in both this category and with sleepwear. It just makes me feel good. Thanks for this video. I love the blouse you are wearing.
This was very good for me. After 40 years of working out in the public, wearing suits, dresses and pants, it’s mentally HARD to change. Back then I only owned two pairs of jeans, a hiking pair and a dressy pair. Now I’m getting more jeans in different shades and I bought a pair dressy navy joggers which I love. But you can feel really lost trying to make this fashion switch. Thanks again.
So true ! Also , there are charities who need good quality work clothes for women starting their careers ; donations are always appreciated if you have a crowded closet & need space for the new clothes for your " second act " . 💟
You can still use similar principles. Build a wardrobe of more casual basics in your favorite neutrals and about 3 other colors. Add your favorite prints. You can take your older work clothes and make them more casual by adding things like denim jackets, sweaters pulled over dresses and casual boots.
New to your channel. And I love your advise thanks so much! I am 60 and looking to stay fresh and stylish. My question is what about socks? Like you I live up north and it gets to the point in fall you need to wear socks. Do you switch to boots and booties with your short leg jeans? How do you style winter boots is another question I have!? Thanks so much!
Hi Julie. Yes, I pretty much switch completely to booties and loafers in winter. And I wear contrasting socks with my loafers. I’ll definitely share a footwear video for winter.
Totally agree - I’m nearly always in socks throughout the year being in Scotland and having cold feet! Your suggestions for socks that are also available in the UK would be good.
Kay, This was a great segment and your tips were really current and helpful. Loved your blouse and the jewelry you were wearing. The brown pants with natural top looked great on you too. Just started to search your description box for items and I love it! Thank you!
Love your videos. I am 5'2". I was wondering if you could make a video toward us little people. I know you are taller but maybe you could still give ideas for the petites. Thanks
I would love to see a video on office casual clothing. I work in an office that is extremely casual but I try to still look professional. My winter wardrobe consist mostly of long cardigans and skinny jeans and booties. Would love to see your take on that!
@@DressedforMyDaywithKayHarms I would love the office casual tips as well. I'm with Judy and want to look professional without going overboard, Maybe I'm just trying to look neat and pulled together. I don't like cold weather and have a hard time dressing for it, would love to just wear sweats and tennis shoes till it warms up again! but not possible
Loving most of this as I usually do with the things Kay shares with us but am I the only one that thinks those Tommy Johns look really funky in the front?
My goodness, thank you, so much. Great tips, and very enlightening, for the different styles. You look great in all the looks, especially ur beautiful blouse, that u have on. Thanks again and God bless u. 🙏🥰👏👍🌹🌟✝️🌻
Great suggested outfits! Chic casual can be just as easy as sloppy casual (which kind of indicate the wearer doesn't care too much about herself). Perhaps it's the details that make the difference. A few minutes to comb your hair and throw on a tinted lip gloss. Taking a few minutes once a week to file your fingernails and buff them for a healthy shine (for those of us who can't wear polish for more than twelve minutes before it chips ;). Adding a belt or scarf. Make it easy to spruce up by keeping "tools" within easy reach--a neutral shoe polish sponge (about $5 on Amazon) near the back door to do a 30 second quickie polish to restore color & remove scuffs to your shoes), a clothes brush near your closet to remove mysterious spots from sweaters and jeans and fabric refresher spray for clothes not quite ready for the laundry but not out-of-the-washer clean. It's the little stuff.
I’m loving the print blouses you’ve been wearing in your videos lately! I know they have been on the more expensive side and they are beautiful on you. I really like the look of the utility jackets instead of the shacket which I wear for camping 🙂 I too love nice loungewear, I never could get on board with sweats or pajama pants. Another great video Kay!
This is great advise for most of us living a casual lifestyle. I need to do more of these things and less buying stuff for the once a month I actually go ou!
Wonderful tips as always. I have never heard of the term shacket. Absolutely perfect for where I live and my lifestyle (rural/farm country) I will still look classic, casual and stay warm.
Yay! A video of casual outfits. The even these are dressy for me. I've been living in yoga pants, and capris for the last 6 years. And a variety of bright colored t-shirts. Mainly, because I don't go anywhere other than the grocery store and home, everything can be washed and dried with no ironing, and with the hot flashes from menopause, it doesn't show through my clothes. And with the fluctuation of my days, having stretchy mobile clothes is a blessing. Also, menopause has packed on some pounds, and I simply do not want to keep buying more jeans or close fitting pants, when I already have a huge closet divided into my last three sizes of clothes. Maybe you could do another video with yoga type clothes? I can't find jeans that fit my round belly, flat butt, and extremely skinny legs. They either fit my butt or they fit my waist but not both, up to two sizes apart! So much fun after menopause!
Renee, I have the same issues and have not worn jeans in years, but for some reason I decided to try again and ordered a pair from Walmart. They are stretchy and actually fit really good 😊. The brand is Real Size, I ordered a large (because of my tummy area) in petite. I was sure they would not fit and I would be returning. But I have been very happy with them. For reference I wear a small petite in BonWorth pants because they have elastic waist and that’s about the only thing I can wear because of round tummy and flat rear, also very skinny legs🤪
Hey Is there any way that I cn style hlf sleeves tee wd an open hlf sleeves shirt? 🤔.. Thnx for sharing such functional tips 🤩 Stay Blessed Stay Happy Always 🤗😘🥰🧚♀️🦄🌈🧿
I like my casual but a lot of these outfits look kinda wearing off shapeless. I’m trying to find items like skirts and feminine pants with waistline and no trends or jeans
Hi Kay thank you for this video, since I’m retired I don’t really dress up anymore we mostly camp and boat or kayak outdoors stuff, sometimes go to Vegas but even then its blue jeans. You probably go to nicer places then us like functions with your church etc. i like most of your styles you choose and you look really nice but my body is more boxy so its hard to find flattering clothes nowadays I just want to be comfortable i do want to look Decent but comfortable. I can’t afford $200 jeans or even $80 jeans mine are more in the $15-$20 area once in a while if they’re really special $30. I have a short waste and usually buy mid waste pants but have been watching influencers and they’ve been pushing high waist so I tried them and they are actually way more comfortable they don’t roll down my round belly like the midrise do so I’ve been on the hunt for more high waisted Jeans but they are hard to fine in my size and style plus I don’t like the frayed hem or the ones with rips in them I just really don’t like them. The jeans that you were showing in this video are very cute on you I really like them they’re just out of my price range plus they have the frayed hem. I do appreciate the more affordable choices you gave Next time I am near a Norstrom’s I’ll go check them out just as long as can’t find none that are stressed or frayed. Thank you for your videos and the helpful information you give. Sorry this message is so long it’s very hard to type in this little box so I apologize for any misspellings.
@@DressedforMyDaywithKayHarms Thank you for replying to my message. I really appreciated it. Is it possible to able to order any of the items you show on your channel on-line?
Even though I have been retired for over 3 years now, I just can't go this casual. Casual for me is a pair of jeans or colored jeans with a blazer. Do not do sweatshirts and plaid shirts. Just not me. Good ideas for the ladies that dress really casual though.
A quick question. Is that express camel blazer in the color butterscotch? The website has two different colors that look camel. I love the color you have on. Thank you!
Enjoyed the video however I don’t consider blazer outfits casual nor jeans particularly comfortable especially around the house. I would find a styling video on athleisure wear useful. Stylish jogger outfits rather than jeans and blazers. Thanks!

Love this, Kay. Being casual and comfortable does not have to mean simply giving up. My motto is: Get up, dress up and show up!
My fav on you was the full length jeans with the white shirt tucked in and the green utility jacket. Really flattering on you, and cute.
Love the blouse you're wearing. I wish you would show casual but smart and elegant dresses and skirts for church and luncheins

Yes! Blazers are everything in the fall. Alternatives to the “shaket” could be belted safari style jackets or a tailored quilted vest.
