Had Enough - Breaking Benjamin. Is a song, that I go back to a lot, and it's from the same album. It has that same intensity vs melody, and he just continues to prove how good he is, at turning a phrase in his lyrics.
Shit i was in my 18 when it came ou n i was born in 88 the rock bands n some pop bands n some country singers of that time from 80s to early 00s we had the pleasure of seeing hearing bands evolve n we loved them all linkin park really changed rock music forever Chester bennington left his imprint in rock history rip music nowadays r just half ass
The only song I’m not a fan of is rain, I believe it’s off we are not alone, and one from they’re unreleased stuff called ladybug. But other than those 2 I love every song too. This is the band I can listen to on repeat and never get tired of!
Exactly! I'm a recent fan (1y6m) and I'm a fan from Avril since a long time ago and I can tell, yeah, she has bad songs and I'm talking the ones from the albums. BB don't have any bad songs, there's the ones that I like more but I like all of them, there's any song that I don't like from them.
BB has never been a “Christian” band. But some of their songs, especially some newer ones, have some religious vibes to them. Not explicitly. To me, it’s up to personal interpretation. The song Ashes of Eden is one that comes to mind.
yeah Breaking Benjamin isn't a christian band or even a contemporary band. Breaking Benjamin's music is about depression and addiction along many other things that deal with human problems.
But I think that Benjamin Burnley is a Christian and therefore, it might influences his lyrics. I mean, they collaborate and tour with some christian bands or artists.
He said he believes in a higher power and likes to think his grandpa or dad (forgot which one) is in a great place. He’s said in general that his friendship with former fly leaf singer Lacey sturm has opened his eyes to Christianity. I think he said something along the lines of she doesn’t force it on me, but they just talk about it and I think over the years, he’s become more open to in and realizes that (especially with his phobia of death) that he wants to believe he can end up somewhere good after he dies and in peace and happiness; and that’s essentially what heaven is. I’m a Christian. I love ben and the band, he’s amazing. I’m aware it’s not easy to go from not believing to just all of a sudden believing in something like that, but I know he’s become more aware to certain things and especially on his dear agony album after all the stuff he went thru like addiction etc etc, he just wants to be free and feel safe. That’s what you get with god by ur side. Ppl ain’t gon agree with me, that’s fine, not everyone is gonna be Christian or understand what it brings, but I’m sure he does and he’s more so believing in god, knows he’s there, maybe even prays sometimes, but I don’t think he’s a full Christian yet, and that’s fine. As long as he takes his time and he’s happy
Breaking Benjamin - Polyamorous really showcases the raw energy in Bens writing. One of my favorite songs from them. Given all their albums are bangers anyway.
There's how i feel about So Cold... It's one of the first songs i heard from them... Haven't stopped listening to in 5 years (yes i only started listening to any rock music 5 years ago)
@@lonewolfe5960 So Cold was the first one I heard by them as well and it blew my mind. I always listened to rap, then i started listening to Skillet. And then somehow (I think my Skillet station on Pandora) put on a BB song and I was like man... this is the only rock I've heard that I like as much as Skillet. Been hooked on both ever since
He has already done a reaction trilogy for the three Ember singles including Red Cold River. Hope you check those out. Pretty good impressions and insights that are even similar to mine
Facts. I believe if I’m not mistaken, that song is about him crying out for something cause he was in addiction and just wanted to break free from it. The lyrics show that well and its tough as hell and shows that metal feel but also Its relatable and hypes you up
Alex, in this song the "evil angel" is a representation of Ben's addiction to alcohol. Listen to it again with that context. It will make way more sense.👍
Without you from the dear agony album …seriously has all the highlights you need . Breaking Benjamin is special man ! lifesaving and always staying in tune with today’s music
Bro home is so good. Especially the end couple lyrics, it’s something I sing along to everytime. That album was perfect imo and represented BB perfectly but all their albums represent the different sides of him too
Phobia came out as I was going through a really difficult time in my life. I listened to it non-stop for months. All of their work is incredible, but Phobia is something special for me. Thanks for all you put into these reactions, Alex!
7:12 you remind me there's a BB song with title 'Forget it'. Softer melody than usuall from them but worth to check out. Also 'Better days' which is more like ballad.
If there are any Breaking Benjamin songs I highly recommend, it would have to be Feed The Wolf, Blood, Psycho, The Dark of You, Close Your Eyes, Down, Ashes of Eden, Failure, Hollow, Great Divide, Blow Me Away ft. Valora, Give Me A Sign, Dance With The Devil, Had Enough, Until The End, and Without You.
I’ve heard every single breaking Benjamin song and until the end is by far my favorite song, the chorus is simple but so strong and its helping me overcome my addiction
well since he has been sick for many years with en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wernicke%E2%80%93Korsakoff_syndrome if you want to look up what he’s got but he does have depression as well but from what I have gather he is like me and that is we won’t stop until we done what we love to do in this World even in his case he dies on the stage from his own words
Breaking Benjamin got me through a lot. They still help me especially since I got diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease. I relate so much to this song.
this was my jam when matrix came out and people made music videos for it, you know, when youtube was better and not tied to big time corporations, it was this song and the song "So Cold". good times, atleast in youtube ways.
You can literally listen to any & every Breaking Benjamin song & I promise you will not be disappointed! Ben is just an amazingly talented man & he (& now the new members also) put their absolute heart & soul into everything they do & you can completely feel the emotion behind every one pf their songs. The band is simply perfection
Phobia top to bottom is a perfect album with no skippable tracks, phobia, deer, agony, and dark before Dawn is one of the best, three album runs by any band

Just saw BB with Memphis May Fire and it was 🔥🔥🔥 for there music to be still played going on close to 20 years, speaks to the level of greatest this band has. With my dads passing recently, hearing Bens voice was so comforting. Been watching for a long time man, love the reactions like always🤘🏼✌️❤️
Love Breaking Benjamin because of deep sense in their songs,as you noticed - the amazing energy and their clear emotions during the singing them. But also, cool band is Dead by April, especially their last single "Collapsing". God,just how it starts... Goosebumps from the first few words.. Hope to see your reaction on this track.

YES!!! Been waiting for this one for years! Arguably my absolute favorite song of theirs ( between this and "Breath" from the same album ). For some reason, the song being in 3/4 time makes it so much cooler. As for longevity, "Sooner or Later," "Firefly," and "Next to Nothing" are even older, and I still rock out to them. I mean, I still rock out to even older stuff too ( Rush, Eagles, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Collective Soul, you get the idea ). You ought to listen to some of Ben's "softer" stuff to get an idea of his range as a musician. Songs like "Forget It," "Rain," and "Ashes of Eden" are incredible at how they're not as loud or forceful as others, but the underlying passion and intensity are still there.
You genuinely can't go wrong with any breaking Benjamin song, if anything I'd probably look at some of their live performances with guest singers ! If you want to keep it studio friendly, had enough is on the same album but they recently released it as an acoustic track but have Adam frontier on the track as well and it's an amazing track that a lot of BB fans wanted to see, an produced track with Ben and Adam is next level
Love this song so much. But this song specifically I believe is about the “Evil Angel” who is represented on the album cover. In essence he’s the grim reaper but as an angel of death. He knows he’s dying and he’s not yet ready to go but if he’s going to he wants the Evil Angel to “help him survive here” and to “open his wings” for him to know he has comfort in death. Someone there for him as he’s passing. And I believe the “Birds of a feather, nothing but lies and crooked wings” is saying that traditionally that means you have people beside you that are supportive. But he’s saying that in his case these “birds of a feather” are liars and are faced hence the part of them having crooked wings.
Hi Alex, I really enjoy watching your videos. I have severe chronic lower back and neck pain. Most nights I can't sleep because of my chronic pain. I binge watch your videos when I can't sleep. Watching your videos helps me forget about my chronic pain. Thank you for making your videos.
Yo, sup Alex! 2:25 The explanation of your favorite type of metal just cements that 1.) We love metal for the same reasons and 2.) It is an absolute tragedy that you haven't heard the band Munro yet. Their newest song, Demonic Headcase, is exactly what you were describing. It's an easy react, too, because the lead singer is also a UA-camr who also hates copyright B.S., so you can feature the (absolutely intense) music video no problem.
You gotta do *Yours is an Empty Hope* by Nightwish if you haven't already; it's a master class in switching between heavy and melodic. And there's a bit of an Easter Egg in the chorus!
The band is from my area. They are not a Christan band....hey Alex check out a song called YOU by breaking Ben. Great reaction. Congrats on the new place
Ben Burnley has an awesome voice and writes beautiful songs. Other songs you could listen to: What Lies Beneath, Fade Away, Dance With The Devil, Sugarcoat, Blood, Into The Nothing, Breath, Hollow, Psycho, Save Yourself, Defeated... you only got to choose ahahah
You know what dude? I was literally just listening to this in the shower before I even saw my notifications. That’s pretty wild. Love this song ever since it came out 15 or so years ago.
This is the first part of the Evil Angel storyline. Second part is Give me a sign. It's more sadder. Glad you're back to Breaking Benjamin, dude. My dad know Benjamin. He told me they went to school together. PS: Not only is this about depression, but it's also about the Evil Angel figure.
Fun fact, Breaking Benjamin got it’s name because before the band was formed, the lead singer dropped the mic at an open mic, breaking it. If you ever have time, you should react to Spirits, an Emo Metal band. They only have 5 songs out right now in their album Novellas (they plan on releasing more later this year). My favorite is Meraki, but all of the songs are amazing. They also do reaction vids as well as twitch streaming.
I recently got into BB. I'd heard about them over the past 20 years or so and loved a lot of really good bands that orbited around BB, like Chevelle, disturbed, Staind, Cold etc...but just some how missed BB. So i got into them because of Far Away with Scooter ward of Cold because I was a big Cold fan. Then since I really loved that song Far Away, I delved into all of their albums and made a playlist of like 40 songs. How awesome is it to discover a band and find 40 amazing songs?? Crazy. Anyways I would suggest, Breath, You, The Dark of you, Close to heaven, Angels Fall and Failure as a few offhand I don't think you've reacted yet.
Hey man, been a fan for about a year or so now, and I just wanted to congratulate you on the house. Didn't even really watch the reaction yet, just wanted to say that first.
All the following are songs from BB Hollow, Breaking the Silence, Blood (highly recommend), Breath, Had Enough, Rain (both versions), Simple Design, Skin
Yess!!! Blood from their new album is amazing! Well.. ember.. man fells like that concert from that tour was yesterday but other times it feels like a million years ago.
This is a nostalgic one for me. Breaking Benjamin was in my top three bands in high school, along with System of a Down and Dir en Grey (you really need to react to them, btw, you'll be blown away). Good pick today.
Always love when you do Breaking Benjamin! My favorite band that never disappoints. They aren't a Christian band but have lots of religious concepts in their songs but leave it open to each listener's interpretation. Please do Dark of You! It is one of their newer songs and is so freaking good!!! You should also check out Blow Me Away (the original and the one featuring Valora) and Far Away (ft. Scooter Ward of Cold)! You'll love those too!
Evans blue - possession. So powerful, so much passion. Breaking Benjamin got me through some really hard times, I find it hard to listen to them now, too many memories.
More Breaking Benjamin please. They are my favorite band, I’ve been listening to them for 18 years (I can’t believe it!). I’d recommend “Give Me a Sign” from Dear Agony album.

If you want to keep it studio friendly, had enough is on the same album but they recently released it as an acoustic track but have Adam frontier on the track as well and it's an amazing track that a lot of BB fans wanted to see, an produced track with Ben and Adam is next level
Adam gontier was on dance with the devil
One of my favorite songs, along with Dance With The Devil. Im so glad we got a version with Adam Gontier
so happy breaking benjamin is getting more love nowadays !!! been my absolute favorite band since middle school !! evil angel is the best song ever
The song is about his alcohol addiction, but I like your theories.
Hi Alex, I really enjoy watching your videos. I have severe chronic lower back and neck pain. Most nights I can't sleep because of my chronic pain. I binge watch your videos when I can't sleep. Watching your videos helps me forget about my chronic pain. Thank you for making your videos.
Until the End by BB has some great riffs.
This is by far one of my all-time favorite form BB love the reaction
Had enough is an amazing Breaking Benjamin song too. Evil Angel used to be my favorite from them but had enough recently took its place.
It's an easy react, too, because the lead singer is also a UA-camr who also hates copyright B.S., so you can feature the (absolutely intense) music video no problem.
how on earth can you of not known about Breaking Benjamin. They are frigging amazing, helped me through years of despair and torment.
You gotta do *Yours is an Empty Hope* by Nightwish if you haven't already; it's a master class in switching between heavy and melodic. And there's a bit of an Easter Egg in the chorus!
🦋 Awesome Reaction Alex! I Love Every Breaking Benjamin Song Ever Created. I'll Definitely Be Looking Forward To Any Others You Chose To React To. 🤘😏
Favorite band ever. Almost got some of these lyrics as a tat , one of their quiet masterpieces!
Congrats on da new place..💪👍...looking forward to new vids from the new place..laater good looking😁😉
Anthem of the Angel and Give me a sign by Breaking Benjamin
If you ever get a chance to see them live, I highly suggest you do so. They put on a great show!
Seeing them Sunday at Louder than Life! So excited!
The band is from my area. They are not a Christan band....hey Alex check out a song called YOU by breaking Ben. Great reaction. Congrats on the new place
Until The End!!! I will pop that on anytime I’m in a complete “fuck it” mood. Breaking Benjamin is such a great musical stress ball it’s unreal.
Ben Burnley has an awesome voice and writes beautiful songs. Other songs you could listen to: What Lies Beneath, Fade Away, Dance With The Devil, Sugarcoat, Blood, Into The Nothing, Breath, Hollow, Psycho, Save Yourself, Defeated... you only got to choose ahahah
oh, when i first saw channel Alex, than i think about how this man is scary of heavy music, but now. its incredible, thank you!
This album actually Gold! Love all songs inside it. And love your setup there Alex.
I love all about the band, the style and the words used in the songs. All the albums are just perfect
All the following are songs from BB
Hollow, Breaking the Silence, Blood (highly recommend), Breath, Had Enough, Rain (both versions), Simple Design, Skin
Still have this song on my playlist. Love this song.
God DAAYUM that drum intro is one of my favorites of literally any song ever. UGH!
Yess!!! Blood from their new album is amazing! Well.. ember.. man fells like that concert from that tour was yesterday but other times it feels like a million years ago.
All their songs are soooo good! This particular song punches my heart ❤️☺️🤘 let’s go Breaking B !
This is a nostalgic one for me. Breaking Benjamin was in my top three bands in high school, along with System of a Down and Dir en Grey (you really need to react to them, btw, you'll be blown away). Good pick today.
Breaking Benjamin! Please do more. Shit their albums got me thru a lot back in the day
Always love when you do Breaking Benjamin!
Not a “Christian band”, but Ben is a “Believer.”
Evans blue - possession.
So powerful, so much passion.
Breaking Benjamin got me through some really hard times, I find it hard to listen to them now, too many memories.
This is such an amazing song! Hope you are doing well Alex!!!
I would love a just one video dedicated to YOUR favorite bands and songs. Wether reaction or just a Q&A
More Breaking Benjamin please. They are my favorite band, I’ve been listening to them for 18 years (I can’t believe it!). I’d recommend “Give Me a Sign” from Dear Agony album.
Love the new room!..congrats on the house bro!
lol, first breaking benjamin song i heard like 8 or 9 years ago now. still one of my favorites to this day.
I’m liking that Whataburger, you my friend motivated me to go get some.
