Also i hated aranara and long ass boring quests, loved Desert world quests, never really saw myself as overly positive cos i have continually shit on bad stuff for years, especially lack of combat etc

Forcing American accents on British actors who weren't used to doing non native accents is what threw many of the VA's off.
They used final fantasy voice actors. They are most definitely good with it too. I like the direction of the voices on here aside but it feels a little out of place. when i put it into that frame i can view it as a final fantasy homage and it works imo.

I think what people are forgetting is we technically lost on the Loufu. Loucha slipped away from all of us and is headed for the leader of the whole alliance. We don't fully know his plan, other than it would be fair guess it would send a shockwave though the universe.

Is that so bad though? His ultimate goal, as he has stated before, is to carry out the final wish of the inhabitant of the coffin he carries, and to kill Yaoshi. All of the Xianzhou alliance, along with Lan the Hunt himself and presumably the Galaxy Rangers want Yaoshi dead. Makes sense, immortal abominations and all that. What's there to not want?
I liked so many aspects of the Loufu story and the characters involved, but the story direction was horrific and many characters were wasted/pointless, everything felt segmented, nobody got a real conclusion, Blade was so underwhelming that it actually annoyed me, built up for nothing. I’m hoping that when we return, Jingliu and Luocha at a minimum get proper conclusion.
People forgot that we were never finished with the Xianzhou arc. The disaster on Luofu was only temporarily resolved. In the end, phantylia escaped, tingyun’s status is unknown, and Luocha got exactly what he wanted. Things are just getting started with the Xianzhou alliance. Hope to see more in the upcoming war dance.

I think Bran was a bit misunderstood because of all the pausing and discussion through the video, he isn't letting his community control his content at all, it's him taking complete control of his content? He isn't just not uploading those videos because of his community feedback, the main point was that people aren't enjoying them when HE HIMSELF isn't enjoying them, if he's not AND his community isn't then what's the point? It's a win for both sides to not edit and upload videos that no one wants

I don't think Tectone was mad that his firefly trailer reaction has the highest dislike. He's simply reacting to his most disliked video. Never in the video did he seemed angry. He's just trying to show why he reacted the way he reacted. The only problem with that video is that he's making jokes during a serious scene. That's it. Like if he was more serious but critical of the things that didn't make sense to him, it would be better. I prefer his other videos compared to his reactions to game stories because he's more authentic and serious.
I really think that Bran is one of the creators that is real. I have seen some of his stream and he is honest and harsh (even for Genshin). It's just that genshin fans only want to hear positive stuff.

I can agree with most your takes, but saying Fontaine was bad is riduculous. Easily the best open world, main and side quests, characters and all.
It's just his opinion. If he doesn't enjoy it, he doesn't. It's fine as long as he doesn't force people to dislike it? He's just saying what he doesn't like, it's fine. Telling him that his opinion on Fontaine being ridiculous is ridiculous because it's just his opinion. His opinion wouldn't stop you from enjoying what you enjoy, so just enjoy what you enjoy. It's fine to be critical of fiction. Everyone has different preferences for a reason.

The BIG problem in Luofu was not Tingyun. It's the high cloud content or whatever its called. The 5 members and the structure of the story to tell us who they were and what happened was so fking disastrous. There's also that big mommy boss who just felt like a placeholder to end the luofu arc.

You cant just force someone to go switch personalities 😂. My main problem in 2.2 was the talent show part. It added 2 - 3 hours (depending on how much you wanna pay attention) to a quest that was already 5 - 6 hours (depending on how much you wanna pay attention). And it was literally for nothing. As far as I remember, there was 0 important lore in the talent show section other than the whole sunday part, but that could've happened without the multi hour long talent show thing. It was just unnecessary time wasted and i hope hsr devs cut out the random boring content from main quests from here on. Save it for the events please.

For Penacony, i don't remember a single voiceline that was useless and had no place in the story. Granted that the story was LONG compared to other patch releases, but that doesn't bother me. I love books. I read Penacony like a book and enjoyed all of it.......
Except that god forsaken 3 different dimensions for Sunday to explain Penacony's backstory. Screw all that, they could've turned that into one part with all the voice lines involved
Just because you call it a yapfest, doesn't mean it can be better explained with "Show don't tell" sadly, and i can't find a part of Penacony that could have been shown better than telling aside from that one section i just mentioned

@@MrShamus22 In my humble opinion since Penacony was heavily based on Disney/cartoon i was expecting a lot more cinema/cartoon like elements, cause frankly if they were to make a lot of the dialogs between characters into "mini-movies" it would have been a lot better since it goes along with the theme.
They had this opportunity to produce a different type of story content where let's say it warns you:"The following story will be a longer cinematic and important to the lore."
With that they inform ppl not to just skip it if they care, and let others just skip to the next part of the things if they are not.
The whole firefly story could have been done like that, cause it literally was only interrupted by like 2-3 fight which would have been pointless or even could be shown(not with the random models obviously) same with the Aventurine one, the watchmaker and the Sunday story(which could have been cut in half and still be okay, prolly even better).
Also just imagine we are having this cinematic going on, and we get a 4th wall breaking Sparkle interrupt, cause it might be a hot take but i think Sparkle share a lot of similarities with Deadpool when it comes to character traits/personality.
Bran is fully in the right . He dont need this energy . If pepole complain about his reaction to starail then why should he spend his energy there ? If it dosnt feel netural to him then f* it. He prefer to fucos on genshin and Wuwa now its super valid.

it's weird to the point that it's kinda "illogical" for enjoying Fontaine's underwater content. Now that feeling itself is weird in and out too.
The thing I've never thought would be possible about WuWa and Genshin is literally muscle memory.
The combat in WuWa is so epic with dodging and combos, and parkour, I literally do the same in Genshin, forgetting that Genshin doesn't have such features. Story wise, I think WuWa is decent, just need to let it cook, while Genshin's story I'm still invested in it, but not its gameplay anymore. To top it off, WuWa's devs ACTUALLY listen to the players while Genshin's devs are as professional as Riot Games (which is non-existence pretty much in terms of professionalism).

They are both a yapfest. All hoyo games are, the reason I fell in love w hsr was the cocolia boss fight and it felt like it was different, but now hsr is starting to feel more like genshin in a bad way
I think we need to let them cook. Remember, that penacony is still only the 3rd planet/region and the story has been pretty good except there was a little too much talking, whereas the inazuma story quest... we all know how that went down..

I dont fully get the not being immersed into penacony, the final fight, the payoff, the music. The choreography of the train and all the pieces and people coming together, i just felt deeply invested. But! I respect the opinion and feelin on it. It hit me harder than it hit some, i guess

Yeah, feelings do be working different. Like, I enjoyed Aventurine's story but god damn it feels a bit too stupid to fight a boss using literal casino chips. The whole Robin and Sunday arc thing felt like a worse P5R last arc. It was good, it just wasn't anything I'd praise.

Bruh no one compared penacony to inazuma of course latter was much worse. That doesn't excuse penacony's overinflated dialogues in 2.2. Several concepts and flashback were repeated for SEVERAl times (sunday's stupid ass birb), there were absolutly unnecessary parts like the talent show and so on and so on.
I mean that beeing said I still did enjoy the story but I can deffinatly see where bran is coming from

I like that the ppl who does the story reduced on UA-cam does a better job making the story enjoyable better then genshin team them self .

I think Bran is being a little disingenuous here. It wasn't a matter of whether he liked or disliked the game. When he completed the first part of the quest, he was going to Japan and rushing through the story as fast as he could, as if he was trying to complete this huge quest in one go. Naturally, he didn't succeed. Then he went to Japan, picked up spoilers, as he himself said here, and ruined the whole impression for himself. Then he returned and again rushed through the quest in order to complete it before the developers’ stream. The question is, why? It was unpleasant to watch, not because he expressed any criticism of the game or its plot, but because he literally began to whine as soon as the characters opened their mouths. And the fact that he didn’t bother to upgrade at least one team and, as a result, whined again as soon as some kind of battle began, didn’t add to the pleasure either.
It wasn't the criticism that hurt people, it was how disrespectful he was to the game and our times. Many comments said that it felt like an unpleasant obligation compared to the enthusiasm he expresses for Genshin and WuWa. But it’s not the game’s fault that he played through it at such a strange pace and ruined the whole experience for himself.

It was quite obvious he just isn't into hsr which is fine. He can dislike or like a game. I remember him saying he likes the story which is why he plays so if he doesn't like the story I don't see a reason why he should keep playing it. It's okay to dislike something popular.
@@beigelbites it's not really, I've been spoiled so many times just going on UA-cam and seeing a thumbnail of a spoiler, or I go on TikTok for a bit and they put a huge spoiler without warning, obviously spoilers and leaks are to be expected, but those people could at least give warnings so they won't ruin the game for others

Another thing that genshin is better at is music. You can clown on their story, game mechanics and characters. But holy fuck, their music is still the best among gacha games.
I stopped playing Genshin over a year ago. The only thing I’m keeping up with now is Genshin’s story played by other CCs such as MoB. The lore and story of the world is quite literally the only thing I’m interested in, as the gameplay turned me off a long time ago.

I’m keeping up with the story, but I’m not nearly as invested in it as I was with Genshin. What hooks me is that gameplay-wise, it’s always very fun.

Luofu was gigabad. Characters had no build up. There was no real development of the cast. The pacing was trash. The enemies were not as cool as the Legion or Belobog's enemies. The constant use of medical and spiritual jargon was offputting. There was nearly no build up to Phantyllia or Blade Vs Dill Pickle. We were expected to care about Luocha as if it mattered in the scope of 1.2 and wasted so much time with them... Honestly, the best parts of the Luofu were the events. The spooky event with Huohuo established a lot of HSR universe lore, iterated on Jing Yuan's lore and the history of the Luofu. Hell even Aetherium Wars was more entertaining than the entirety of 1.0-1.2 Luofu combined

I love HSR, Wuwa is fun but it still needs something to keep me playing. I think it’s a character thing for me, I just need someone who I can say “that’s my main” or something. That and some aesthetic nitpicks
But FGO hands down has the best story of gachas hands down, and it’s still the game I would choose if I had only pick one to play, but it’s age is clearly showing so I understand why filks would say otherwise

As a lore enthusiast I think genshin could make it in a more engaging way especially for those who aren’t super immersive into the lore. I liked the fontain arc more then sumeru but prefer sumeru world quest then fontains. Reason why I also like Hsr story especially penacony it’s cause they made it engaging dire and situations where it’s like “omg what is going to happen next” or “what is this person gonna do” plus the plot twist that made you want more of the story. The loufu arc I will stand by this cause i never had a problem with it because maybe I was one of the rare few that knew we were no where near done with this arc and it was mainly a prologue to what’s really gonna happen. Wuthering no comment on it as I want to see what they do in a years worth. For now lore wise for this year so far excluding the newer stories for genshin and HSR later in the year I’ll rank them HSR>genshin

Lotta yappin' all around on HSR. I do my dailies in the game and dip, but I'm honestly not super hyped about the updates. The story is 'fine' in my opinion, but it's not exceptional. Just a typical Hoyo game imo.

I tried to play Genshin tomorrow. They just changed the Abyss from 3 waves of monsters to 5, so now you need to defeat even more enemies that are doing their animations, so you have to catch them first. It's only annoying, not difficult.
Also, now I understand even more how annoying daily quests are that we are unable to skip even if you have done it many times already, so what is the point of not having a skip button?
Movement is another pain. You have to pull characters like Yelan C2 to move faster because it's so slow, so you're just wasting your time.
All user interface looks so slow to interact.
Just to note, the Wuthering Waves still hasn't returned the 120fps mode that was previously planned to be brought back. So the difference will be even more.
I really liked the penacony story, its one of my favorite story plots that Hoyo has done. But i wholeheartedly understand if people are not into it. Its a murder mystery story. Theres gonna be a lot of yapping and dragging. Its a story that can easily fall apart at any point. While i admit the ending was not great, for me it wasnt a bad landing. I was still very much hooked into watching it all play out

To be completely honest, I never really had that many complaints about any of these games before watching their contents. I've been playing these type of games, ever since the JRPG era lol, and I do miss those simple times. Like, I can very much enjoy each and every single one of them just as much as one another. Maybe that's because I'm not a content creator, so the game doesn't quite hold any more significant value to me outside of the gameplay. I personally really enjoyed a lot of the quests and stories in Genshin, but considering they have 4 years worth of content, I would definitely say that's not the best comparison to make with these other rather new games. Yeah, I can also definitely see that there's bad and stupid shits here and there, but never really bothered me to the point of not wanting to play. The only real reason I stop playing a game is when it starts to change the trajectory of it's game. I personally stick into a game for why they bring me in the first place. I just hate it when a game loses it's identity for the sake of "staying relevant". As per usual, the only thing that is tearing a game down, is it's own community, time and time again Although, hoyoverse is not a saint by any fucking means. I don't think any of them are. If you can't enjoy a game because of other people's opinion, I think you're just as bad as them. It works the other way around too, same logic. Still, I do understand Brax not wanting to nurture these type of conversation in his community, which should be understandable for everyone, but he should also acknowledge the fact that it will also lead him down the same spiraling staircase, just into a different pit. You can't pick and choose, you have to do one. Be part of it, or simply remove yourself from it. I personally do not believe being neutral is possible as a content creator, as you will always be a pro of something, and even if you try your absolute life, I personally don't think it's possible to change these circumstances, at least the way things are now. But yeah, I do like to yap a lot myself every since I've entered this space but I feel like I made a fair point so thank you for reading to anyone that got this far 😂

Same, luofu is fine, 2.2 is lore heavy but I think the issue is just cultural and localisation, I believed the cn dub is much shorter in each dialogue than the eng dub

I really left playing hsr after the Acheron first banner. I do feel like im missing out alot, but that's life ig. I started wuthering waves at its release day and I've been playing it with healthy breaks in between which has been great. Would love to boot up hsr and go play, but the updates gonna take forever.

for me the biggest L take Bran did was when HSR had the livestream where we got 2 10 pulls during the lantern rite his response was immediately on the first ten pull "oh they need it cause they have no exploration" which we all knew was a reddit genshin stan take and a bad one that got proven wrong fast at that and it does show his genshin PTSD sadly he has stated genshin was his first gacha game which does explain a lot.

No voice actors shouldn't get better at one take lines. Like wtf. Who ever said or thinks that are out of their mind. It works if its for a character you know and can easily feel your way through how the line should be done but if you are new to the character and trying to understand your character having proper direction and multiple takes to get it down right just makes the end product a million times better. I bet the person who said that stupid thing is someone who is franchised in to a character and has done multiple works with that voice there is no way they said it about new roles they pick up.
