Do you journal? Comment below.
Yep :)
Sometimes?
I Write into my diary every few months whenever i really feel like i need to update it with my current status since im 6 so yeah kinda.
I do.
What are some journal prompts do you use in your journal? Comment to share yours to inspire others!
Usually, if I have to do a presentation or something, I just say, "Screw it." Force myself into it and appreciate the calmness after the sudden heart attack and seizures from the anxity.
Anxity is just terrible some times 😔
reading helps me feel better sometimes
Same
“5 things you can see”
Idk about you but when I’m trying to sleep my room is too dark to see a thing. Time to use my ✨ imagination ✨
Sameeee! Right now i am in my room and yeah, i can't see anything besides my phone
It's really just about bringing your focus away from the thing stressing you. When my therapist first told me about this taste was the one for me. I mentioned in my depression most things just kinda taste like nothing and just feel like wetish cement in my mouth. So just do the ones you can and then she recommended doing the 3 things you are grateful for at the end. Always good to try to end on a high note. 👍
**sees eyes**
1. Take your antidepressants
It's feel "better", not "nothing at all".
BS
not helping lol
Anti depressants actually up the heart rate, making you feel more anxious or at worst overwhelmed. They are not for anixety, those are a whole separate deal of medication. These grounding techniques actually work for a wide range of symptoms and do not require a doctor's appointment, paying for (which some can't do) prescriptions, getting to the pharmacy, (which if it's social anxiety you might just need these options just to get through that part of getting the prescription), and can be done immediately. So in case you're meds aren't working (considering how long it can take for some people to find the right chemical medication if at all) or you just don't happen to have it on you.
If medication has helped you that is wonderful but overall they still only help some symptoms. You will continually be dependent on meds to just "take the edge off" rather than actually solving the issue that is causing the problem. Medication only helps you along the road of mental health, it isn't the final stop. Therapy may seem inconvenient or embarrassing, but it really is a crucial step and can never be just replaced by a pill.
Thx! Just needed this right before my job interview 😄
I hope this helps thank you 😊🙏🙏
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCHH. I literally tried everything I could in a rush but this helped me.
My pain is constant and sharp
this showed up right as i needed it. thankyou
When I don't want to go to bed, because tomorrow is work/class, i decided to not go tomorrow. So I can countinue the thing I do right now tomorrow.
The next morning I always go to work/class. 😀
Thank you!
I can't do these things because I'm already overwhelmed but do these things in a different way, one close my eyes and focus on one sense then two then three then open my eyes, second I focus on the breath coming from my nose, don't try to change it. Finally I write whatever I want no need tos or feelings
If there was a presentation i would just say "atleast i am not the worst...right?"
The breathing method realy helped me getting trough the last 2 months so i wanted to thank you and your team and this lovely community that you all build. My thanks probably dont mean much but i hope it will all help you in some sort of situation
This is precious ✨
Thakyou psych to go for ur content 🙏
I recommend writing down stuff the most.
For me, writing something down on a paper, journal, book or anything helps bring out the stress or anxiety I had. Honestly I just write down how I feel and how everything happened and than bam, I feel much better :D
This made me feel a bit better! I am so stressed because I have to many missing assignments at my school and its so stressful.
Fun fact : Just that voice can make you feel calmer
Box breathing is unreasonably effective, speaking from experience
This has helped so much, thank you!
This will help me out so much! tysm for this! ❤ love ur videos also first?
man why couldn't have I saw this an hour ago before I did my audition 😭😭 it was lowkey kinda bad
The grounding technique would be hard for me. It states “two things I can smell” but my sense of smell is screwed, and right now I can’t smell anything :/ Oh well, I’m sure this technique is helpful for other people and I’m glad for that 😊
Actually I leaned the box breathing from a video game and that's really helped me though games and my anxiety
🌷
i have a tip for the writing down a journal, ive always found that boring and lack the motivation so instead i just text my friends everything cuz im already in bed with my phone and it makes me feel a whole lot better and is so much easier for me becoz im so lazy lol
He feels overwhelmed but he knows a few idiots
Feels weird being this early😂how's everyone doing?
Anxious! But I’m getting there. Step 1 grounding really helped. How are you my friend?
A bit depressed, how are you?
@@VanessaLol421 aww, well im sorry your feeling that way. My mental health has actually been decent these past two days, but since i have classes tomorrow i have a feeling it might not last;trying to stay positive tho!!
@@angiechaos7954 happy for you buddy 😊🤗
@@Mystiic I'm so sorry, I didn't see your reply!! I've been off UA-cam for a bit so haven't checked anything. I'm doing pretty good so far, hopefully my good mental health continues into the Weekdays
"five things you can see, three things you can hear"
_me who has synesthesia and I see things when hearing things_ : so eight things I can see. Great!
Instructions unclear. Now I am stuck inside a fish in a parallel dimension 🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟
☺️
I don't journal...
I think.
Lol I just think that other people's presentation might be cringe as well which makes me feel better
All hail the mighty dog 🐕
Or you can go to sleep early. your brain needs time to recharge, 8 hours or longer in bed and you should feel a bit better the next day.
Take it from a guy who gets 3 hours of sleep every night and overdoses on coffee just so he can feel basic human emotions
⛽
Is this your real voice, or are you trying to sound like the girl who usually narrates these videos?
Sounds like a completely different person with a definitely not from America accent. She did hire a few people recently so I'm guessing this is a new member of the team.
@Mom.left.me.at.Michael's Definitely heard the accent
i dont have family friends or a dog thats the problem
But you have other good things! Example: access to the internet and psych2go' s channel ☺️
@@HyperNovva Doesnt really help.
