Hi everyone and welcome to the Garden Green channel.
This is a channel where you will be able to see a lot of useful tips.
Today's topic is lawn.
The best time to aerate and clean the lawn is between March and the end of May.
In autumn from mid-September to mid-October.
Spring has come..
The first thing we need to do with lawn is remove dead grass and aerate the lawn!
I will show you how to do those two things with one tool!
This is a simple and cheap alternative.
That's a prerequisite for not wondering the rest of the year, why does the lawn look worn out?
If you want a dense and resistant lawn, you should clean and aerate it at least once a year!
Some other actions are also needed.
There are many ways of cleaning and airing, today I will show you a simple and cheap method.
This tool will aerate your lawn and remove dead grass and moss.
Due to the vegetation cycle, dead grass remains often lie in the lawn, which create a layer of organic material.
That layer of dead grass takes away light and oxygen, and it prevents the arrival of nutrients and water to the roots.
First we need to mow the lawn, in order to reach the dead remains more easily.
The first cut should be about 5 cm (2 inches) high.
You should cross the lawn once along and once across.
The second cut should be about 4 cm (1.5 inches) high.
Adjust the mower one position less toward the ground.
This is a prerequisite for healthy and thick grass!
In a few days the grass will recover.
The next phase is fertilizing.
But we will leave a few days for the grass to get oxygen first!
We will show you fertilization in the next video!

Where is the link you referred to?
Didn’t think it was good to cut grass that short… thank you for sharing!!
It's only good when you're doing this kind of aeration and dead winter grass removal. Otherwise, it's better if you don't mow it too low, because that way the grass suffocates the weeds. It is especially not good to cut too low in the summer because it loses moisture quickly. Thanks for watching 🌱
@@organickulture makes sense!
Hi, i like ur videos, i have a question; then u done second cut and left grass for a few days to recover to get oxygen can i water the grass after second cut? or not, or i need to wait these two days until fertilization!
I bought this gardena tool, and is a problem; i got the same lawn as yours with lots of clovers, and this tool gets stuck in them, its really hard to work like this, and it doesnt matter that u have done first cut to ur lawn, its not easier, maybe i need a power tool (scarifier from Stihl) against clovers. I know It would be better to exterminate clovers, just i dont know how, they are conquered all my grass!
Hello...I know exactly what you are talking about. You are a little late with this type of treatment, because at that stage the clover root has strengthened and spread further, so it is difficult to work with this tool. I "raised" the clover root with this tool: amzn.to/3Nlv4sO and then cut it with a lawnmower, it's a cheaper version, and of course it's an easier version with a scarifier. You can water the grass if it's time to water. Clover appears on lawns that lack nutrients and are poorly ventilated. Its root expands and occupies the entire space. With proper treatment, clover and other weeds will disappear, see one of the ways to remove clover in an "organic" way, if you decide on that option ua-cam.com/video/nn0mX4goPZk/v-deo.html After all treatments before the season, don't mow too low. If the grass is strong enough to overtake the clover in height, it will make it even more difficult for the clover to grow and spread. Remember that it is a process and that it won't go away overnight, but be persistent. Greetings and thanks for watching 🌱
what is the difference with the normall greblo :D
It's a big difference, try it 🙂

Does it come with the handle ?
I’ve just looked on Amazon and it’s description says rake head ?
It only has a small extension as in the picture, the handle is universal for many of their tools and is purchased separately.
What is the orange thing attached to the handle? What does it do? Thanks.
I thought it was an orientation flag to remind you to keep the blades positioned properly through your back strokes to keep the tool doing the optimal dredge of thatch. I used to have a manual rake like this (gave it away, should have kept it) and if you had the blades set to low it would dig in, or too high it would miss alot of thatch. My thoughts!
it's just a tag with information about the tool. all gardena tools have it. it can be removed
Do you do this every year?
Yes... Spring and Autumn
Are you gonna return the tool after making this video because you left it on during the whole process?
It was my first use with Gardena tools. Honestly, I didn't know how to take it off and it didn't bother me while I was working. And you can hang it on the wall if you don't take it off! I will definitely use the tool every spring and autumn to remove dead grass remains and superficially aerate the lawn.
Kiedy takie coś mozna wykonywać ?
Każdej wiosny i jesieni, najlepiej wiosną 🌱
what's the name of that tool?
