if the bacteria that causes dandruff loves oil, then putting oil is like feeding them yummy food. If you have dry flakes oil will help, but with dandruff oil is advised to be avoided.
Are you talking about head hair or beard hair? Big difference! The oil is there to prevent the dry skin under your beard. If you stop that, then for most men, you stop beard dandruff (unless you have an underlying skin condition).
@@westcorkbeardcompany the bacteria that causes dandruff is the same on your head and beard. Dandruff are large flakes, usually oily. Dry flakes are small white flakes that fall from dry skin condition on from your scalp. Beard oil will only help if you have dry skin, but if you have dandruff it will make it worse because you are essentially feeding the oil-loving dandruff bacteria (Malassezia).
I dont know if its related. Ive never had dandruff before but since covid and wearing a mask almost everyday at work 8 hours, 2 years in a row my beard isnt in the same shape and my skin is dry, itchy and i have dandruff. cant get rid of it with oil ( tested different oils) moisturiser and cremes. its just horrible but without beard i look so shit!
With all the moisture in your mask from breathing, things can get very humid followed by very dry. I would go for a good quality unscented oil and apply it twice a day as needed. Lots of poor beard oils have denatured alcohol and parfum in them, which dries out your skin even more! Avoid any fragrance, and be sure you are also brushing your beard regularly to get rid of the dry and dead skin 👍
Hey bald uncle I'm from india ,I want to tell u that ,u have a good beard but I wanted to know that I'm 18 yo old ,I have beard but it's not thicker it's like cotton type thin thin ,at what age I can get good thick beard
Time and patience are your friends. Your beard will be much better in your late twenties and thirties. Experiment with a moustache for the moment and see what style suits you best 👍
There's no such thing as beard GROWTH oil...all the oil that is marketed like that is BS. Use a good quality beard oil like West Cork Beard Company to keep your beard hydrated and healthy. That is how to grow a great beard 👌🙌
Mine is literally snowing looks like a scene from frozen
Oh no!!! 🫢🫣

Nice, me learning why using beard oil hasn't helped when I've basically just been running it through the beard and not focusing on the skin.
Glad the video helped! 🙌
I switched to chainsaw oil, my beard is thick and I found chainsaw bar oil really gets in there deep and it’s thicker so it lasts longer
Whatever works! 😂
You have a strong beard like mine a Celtic thing though even though Westcountry UK
Thanks Barry! Much longer than this video now...10 months in and it's a beast 😁
