I live in another Embu in São Paulo, Brazil. :-D
What a beautiful part of Kenya. I remember visiting there my first time in the country in 1995. I remember going with my friend Henry to spend Christmas at his in laws. They lived just outside the town. We decided one day to go into town via Matatu. When it came, the driver looked at me and for some unknown reason asked me if I wanted to drive. Of course I said yes. So I drove the Matatu to town. It was full and I would think that everyone who was in it that day still remember being driven to town by a Wazungu. Great memories.
Hahaha that's a great memory, you can never forget. Am sure some of the passengers would never forget being driven by a Muzungu.
Trying to fit in is alright, but being sincere goes a long way. This town is ugly and haphazardly planned.
@King Pablo precisely.
Welcome back, God bless.
Thankyou.
I love this. What's the name of the hill seen at 9.35? Is it kianjiru or kiang'ombe or another?
This is a nice place to live for those who love a quiet life in the countryside . Thanks for bringing us along!
It's a beautiful place indeed. You most welcome.
Definitely. Thanks to Afrikan Traveller for showcasing the beauty of Kenya’s hinterland.
Yes my county is peaceful and beautiful❤.Thank you for appreciating it
Mt Kenya region had privileges before the new constitution of being the region near Nairobi the capital and also home to two presidents before the new constitution. But after devolution alot of national resources were distributed to other parts of Kenya which led to major infrastructural developments and growth of towns especially in the 14 lake basin region and northern kenya .
Devolution is changing Kenya. It looks good given that it is not a major town in Kenya. Even downtown Nairobi has some bad structures, Kudos Embu. Thanks for the video.
what do you mean ,i think it is a major town
Embu is beautiful, one of my favorites towns.💜
African travellers, you make us move along in a real journey.Embu is super interesting. From Kakamega 👍👍👍👍
Embu is a very beautiful County, although the city it's very sloppy, the County is a home to very beautiful rocky Mountains,Mt Kenya it's also has a nice view from Embu County,if you hail fromNanyuki, Nyeri,Muranga,Kirinyaga etc, n u tired of cold breeze from Aberdare Ranges n the Mt Kenya ugly cold, this is d place to be,Embu lands are quite affordable compared to Central,Embu it's very hot too contrary to Central, but they do alot of irrigation using big permanent rivers that runs across the County,Embu my next home Yawa
A calming quiet town with potential to develop.
Yet another excellent video. Embu is beautiful, na watu huko naona wana tupesa vizuri.
My home town.
Thank you Afrikan traveller for the great drone shots.
thanks
I have never imagined that Embu looks like this. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of Embu.Surely Kenya is big, love it so much from Kakamega Kenya.
Welcome home
Wacha madharau
This is the best town to live in and im shocked to see how the residential estates have grown in decades
My friend... You can also plan to make a visit to the coastal towns like Malindi and lamu. You won't be disappointed
Central Kenya should really work hard to organize their town and keep them clean and do away with ugly building buildings, look at kakamega town and kisumu City
Sure
Exactly. Very ugly towns. Now factor in all vimbandas and Bodaboda menace. A development time bomb but a Hustlers paradise.
Nairobi is where everyone in central went and thrived. These are our rural homes... Kisumu is not even having rich people as Luos but those from central
@@enkylion9525 But Kisumu has a very massive middle class population thanks to the high literacy levels. Most Luo lecturers, Lawyers, politicians, doctors & engineers invest in Kisumu, specifically in the hospitality & real estate sectors that's why it's more of a resort city
Embu is not in Central but in Eastern Provence, although it's a home of wakikuyu who are mainly Mbeere as they call themselves, they share their names with Kirinyaga n Nyerians,so probably migrated from Kirinyaga n Nyerian lol, their weather is very different from Central, most of Embu County it's hot despite being close to Mt Kenya when Nyeri n Kirinyaga is really cold due to cold breeze from Mt Kenya,I find Embu I more beautiful coz it has a good view of Mt Kenya, plus they have alot of Rocky Mountains,Embu County should be my next home
OMG the jacaranda trees! OMG I have no words.
Embu is one of the best places to invest/retire. But the town is congested and unplanned. There's nothing behind those buildings on the main Street. The traffic in this little town in sickening.
People live like royals in their houses. good schools and hospitals in every corner and several government offices.
Embu,my county is a land of milk and honey. The standard of living rather high. Purely a rich agricultural county with the best coffee and tea in the world, largest macadamia producer in Kenya, muguka, expansive dairy farming, lumbering and of course Ishiara livestock market .
Yap
It's hard to find a piece of land here and it's expensive
A lot of ancestral land that’s not available to non natives.maybe in embu town.
Embu and Isiolo will grow becoz of the these three roads :
1. Moyale-Nairobi
2. Isiolo-Mandera
3.Kitui-Kibwezi
Watu wa embu wako strategically placed to do business up North, kwanza they will be the food basket of that region
We don't use Embu route traveling to Isiolo moyale.. we use Nanyuki which has a large Borana population
@@mohammedmamo6177 I know queen but i am talking about the new route from the coast.
This new kitui- kibwezi road enables people from that nanyuki, embu region to go to the coast without having to use that nairobi-emali road
@@mohammedmamo6177 Imesaidia sana watu wa kuuza mira😂 na when ethiopia starts using mombasa proper itatoa jam kwa nairobi-mombasa highway
@@assadalawite9527 Ethiopia will be using Lamu port not Mombasa, the road construction of Lamu garrisa isiolo road is underway and 70% complete. Embu produces mugoka same as Marsabit, Mugoka from embu doesn't go past Isiolo..
@Mursal Djama Somalis and Borana speakers in kenya are 3.7 million of which 2.7 million are somalis speakers and 1 million are Oromo (Borana) speakers. Both Somalis and Boranas live in northern and northestern kenya, and they occupy 47% of the entire landmass of Kenya. Borana speakers live in 3 counties of Marsabit , Isiolo and Tana river while the Somalis live in 3 counties of Mandera ,Wajir and Garissa.
My beautiful county😘. Home to the lovely jacaranda tree
Looking forward to Nyeri vlog. It used to be so beautiful 36 years ago and the snowcapped peak of Mt Kenya was visible from my Primary school. I haven't been back since.
Had to go back to watch Kakamega Town to reset my mind. Lol!
Notification Geng in the building.
Thanks Bro.
Beautiful landscape
Good to see home again; with jacaranda in full bloom. A splendidly beautiful town. Thanks A. Traveller.
Same here it’s so soothing seeing home thousands of kilometers away.
Glad your car is back on the road. Embu Town could use some better planning and organization. It seems the place has good climate though.
People easily forget that for many many years, this had been the headquarters of the entire eastern province.. some other towns within the former administrative unit caught up with Embu
Nice stuff bro. Pls keep up the good work. I am away from Kenya but your vids brings me closer home..it’s such an awesome feeling...thanks
Great work indeed.
Purple flowers on the trees beautiful

Glad you loved it. Thank you.
Sio mbaya sana..🤔🤔
Good video. You could at least have mentioned the Isaac Walton Inn. You passed it while discussing the civil servants housing. It's a famous Embu landmark. Still a very good coverage.👍👍
at minute 14:56 the name of the place is Gakwegori, Mutunduri is the Next shopping center.😉
Wonderful Embu
Next Time Check On Me Broh

Thanks so much embu will be my home soon never been there but you have show me now I have idea thanks .keep it up
You most welcome.
Great atmosphere, always the best my brother. Bless
I want to settle in embu in mbere I wish to own plantations
We can team and invest there
Fantastic. Keep it up.
Embu is rising
Never thought that’s how Embu looked like. I thought it was somewhere closer to Nakuru but I guess not. Thanks again for this one A. Traveller👍
It's a country side
Is alright, some think Africa is a country.
The purple town, all dotted up with jacaranda trees. Beautiful.
Rende ya kupitia comments , ikiwatch wapi nyinyi?
We need to ban these ugly (someone described them as 'mathogothanio') building designs. Otherwise glad to have you back and nice video as usual.
Eyesores...
Poor urban planning is to blame.
You work really hard...kudos!
Thank you.
I was born though I have never been since I was young. Planning to go and have fun .
Team notification Gang 🔥🔥🔥
Good stuff.
A must visit town for me,

Awesome Video.... But could have mirrored it for actual ground.... but beautiful video
Bro, I must learn this your language oo
You should, it's very easy.
This is not a very well structures town, the buildings also look old and dilapidated. Hope the next governor will be more of a visionary, current guy is clearly a joke.
Very true
I went to school here🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Embu imegrow sana compared to this video.

Mine too!
Embu My City
I thought this thing was big city what is the governor doing?
What happened no intro take us along please.
Embu is open for business
Have to almost all central Kenya towns, what I don't like about these towns is poor drainage, ugly buildings and also very disorganized.Governers really need to plan and organized their towns, they should learn from kakamega town.
What do you mean.....can you even compare Meru and Nyeri to Kakamega? Kerugoya, Kiambu, Thika?
😂😂 jaber ume insist, wako tu sawa vile wako
In this age of political correctness, saying the truth could be fatal. Just sing along. It's the most beautiful place in the universe.
@@wamulikestudio I know you people are very rich but your towns are filthy, with poor drainage system, buildings every where . Being rich is not everything that town looks like a slum.
@@vivianaviy345 go back to your one luo city and live there let's work on our 20 towns
Woi...we are now in the Central Kenya edition. I'm not looking forward to this in all honesty!
hahaha Embu, Meru na Nyeri ma Guka hawauzangi their old rusty plots they think hold it till death is way to go even if wenyewe hawatajenga ama ku improve the buildings. Get ready.
Which language is that? Nice video
That's Kiswahili. Common language in East Africa
@@nairobinyeusi5811 oh ok, do different tribes speak different language?
@@lyyyyyyy365 Yes different tribes speak different Languages but Kiswahili is a universal language spoken by every tribe in East Africa. Kenya has 42 tribes who speak 42 different Languages but they also speak Kiswahili & English. Nigeria has over 500 tribes. An average African speaks at least 3-4 languages.

Embu much like Nyeri looking old
Tuko locked 🔥😊, i thought Embu ni ligi ya kakamega.
Kakamega is poor in terms of economic status .Cannot match Embu in terms of the standard of living.
@@njuki-imwemuembu1750 lol......but this speaks completely otherwise......which standards 🤣
@@njuki-imwemuembu1750 Hehehehe tembea my friend you will be exposed
What is the per capital income of Kakamega? How is wealth creation among the local population achieved? Embu with a population of about 650000 people has three tea factories which topped in tea income earning in the country this year, has 432 coffee factories, largest macadamia growing in Kenya, milk production is everhigh and of course countless other commercial and agricultural ventures. It's in no doubt Kakamega is expansive in land area and population, but it lacks the economic muscle of Embu County. It's like comparing Romania with Switzerland or Belgium.
@@njuki-imwemuembu1750 GCP report 2017 by KNBS download it and read it not hearsays Kakamega is economically viable than Embu by far
My county HB is even agriculturally viable by far than Embu , Uasin Gishu counties
