This video leaves me in awe and regrets. I schooled here for 4 years and I never went beyond Voi town. I hated the place (at the time) and thought life was only in Nairobi and Mombasa, which I visited and lived at the smell of any opportunity I got. I did not visit the Tsavo National Parks, hike any of those hills in Taita and up to to this video, I didn't know Lake Chala and Jipe existed, amongst other sceneries. I didn't even learn a single word in Taita language for the 4 years. It's now time I 'revisit', and with a purpose to tour the county extensively and appreciate it much more before the end of 2022. Don't be like the old me, make sure to live in the moment, and enjoy the present.
So glad to have found you, thank you so much, Haika muno(kitaveta), chawucha nandighi (kidawida) for representing my home well. Next time ask for the Taveta folk tale of how lake Challa was formed. Born and raised in Taveta but parents came from Vuria and Mghange. So happy to see the beautiful places where I came from. I visited in 2019 with my “black mzungu” youngest son from Canada and he was so amazed how Kenya is beautiful. And when we reached in Mghange, Vuria and also Murang’a, he declared that now he knows what his roots are “Mountain man” we were literally driving above the clouds! Such a memorable time.
Lake Chala I must go back with my family it was the best adventure, fresh volcanic lake. A lake in a mountain just for your eyes .....Kenya is so beautiful
Oh yes,I go up there to do mogoka,an indigenous endangered wonder leaf... Anyway, you people think Limuru is cold? Up mghange to mwanda (wish he could have done it further) The area around Vuria hill is a Moscow,24/7 365 Stellar presenter 👏🏿👏🏿
EVERY AFRICAN SHOULD KNOW THAT VISITORS COME TO MAKE A WAY FOR THEIR OWN,WE SHOULD LOOK AFTER OUR LANDS AND NO ONE SHOULD JUST BUY TITLE DEEDS AND CHASE AWAY VILLAGERS WHO OWN PLACES LIKE THESE,LETS PRESERVE OUR HERITAGE
