A very unique acquisition to your collection. Well done Rich! I hope one day, we have the opportunity to witness your entire collection! Great sharing Bro!
@@whatsonthewrist Thanks Rich, it is really hard to make good content when locked in the house. Hopefully this will be over soon. Saigon is making progress. Cheers.
Rich what was that moon style watch you showed? Wow that was different but I like the Verso but I prefer it in 40-42mm. Thank you for introducing Epos. I’ll look into them. Great video as usual. 👍
Beautiful watch Rich. Its very unique, I'm surprised I am not familiar with Epos until now and I'll spend the weekend studying them. What was that quick picture of a moon model you showed in this same video? Great video to.
@@whatsonthewrist That big moon model is sure sweet and different like the verso but I think Epos caught my eye a little more with the Big moon. Will you be also reviewing that? Please say yes.
It's an interesting brand, but what I don't like is that they have the Sportive Diver which is a "homage" of the Oris Aquis, and those Steinhart type of moves, to my eyes somehow cheapens the brand. In the other hand you have Edox making their own thing but being totally ignored by enthusiasts. Great review, nice watch, enjoy it Richie boy!.
Hey, Eternal. I think the Sportive can stand on its own, particularly the day/date model. I agree about Edox and their Skydiver is sharp. Thanks, brother.
@@whatsonthewrist I don't know my friend, the Oris case and bracelet is not a generic one, not a generic design, anything alike is too obvious for my comfort, and the Sportive is too much alike and I mean in person. About Edox, I will try to gave them another chance, they have very interesting designs, just that my first and last Edox encounter was a very dissapointing experience, but still I do really love and try to support the originality and that brand, to my eyes is very unique. My latest watch purchases were very dissapointing so I'm still stuck to guitars ;).
Beautiful watch. They should consider removing the " limited Edition " text on the dial - and the number. It really isn't necessary, and detracts from the overall aesthetic of the watch. I like the bracelet - it's a great addition in my opinion. Regards,
Hi, QUARTERS-EYE. I know what you mean regarding the limited edition text, and at first I felt the same way, but now I like it. epos uses texts on their dial for some models. For example, between their Big Moon and North Star, I prefer less text on the Big Moon.
@@whatsonthewrist Thank you for the reply Rich. I've been looking at Epos for quite some time now. I'm glad to see them putting their models on bracelets - especially the Verso 2 - it looks stunning. I also like the North Star and Big Moon, so I will have to decided which model to buy - they all look great in my opinion. Regards, Steven
@@whatsonthewrist I’ve decided to buy the Big Moon with Blue Dial on Beads of rice bracelet. For everything you get - An ETA 2892-a2. with moonphase, day, month and date complication, plus incredible Lume for the moonphase - On a really nice Beads of Rice Bracelet. For under $2,800 Dollars - is simply incredible. Epos are a fantastic brand. I will be picking up the Big Moon May of next year. It will make an excellent addition to my collection. Yes it’s a special package for sure. Congrats in advance. You’re a strong person to be able to be that patient, but now you have something special to look forward to over the winter, Steven. 👏👏👏
It’s a pretty cool looking watch. The limited edition text is kind of a strange choice…it seems like it is “trying” too hard? Maybe that’s just me. I’d really like it better if that was on the case back. Nice video, as always. Thanks Rich.
I understand your perspective here, KDP. Since these are built to order, I wonder if the LE part could be a with or without option. Obviously I didn’t request it.
It is a nice looking watch...I`d change the bracelet for a strap that`s all. Besides, this is a watch that has to be so big because of the movement....called a marriage watch back in the day....
@@whatsonthewrist A lot of pocket watches were converted to wrist watches, sometimes by just welding on wire lugs to the watch case, later by re-casing. "Marriage" may refer to the coming together of two separate components. this is an example ua-cam.com/video/XXZj-6hqIRs/v-deo.html
I wish I could get a watch in this style but with the ETA 2824, 2836, or 2892 (of course without the rotor) instead of the ETA 6497 because for me personally at 43mm this watch is just way too big, I'd ideally want 38mm or less. It seems so difficult to find this style though in this price range though- the small, offset dial that lets you see the rest of the movement.
@@whatsonthewrist Your right...I only remember them for their pilot watches, but they have quite the collection! Some very cool vintage looking dress watches, too!
Well that is a challenging question to answer with a simple yes or no. It depends on your budget and collection. I will say the watch has been serving me very well. It has great Swiss Made build quality and is very pleasing to look at. I also appreciate hand wound movements. It’s a nice standout in my collection. I hope that helps.
@@whatsonthewrist I just want to know an objective answer, so as if in everyone personal budget do not matter. I just want to know if it is objectively overpriced for the quality, reliability, movement etc and all these other factors
It has premium quality. It is reliable. It uses a solid and reliable movement which we’ve seen on other watches that are both more expensive and less expensive. I’d say at $2500 it might be a simple yes for value. At $3k you can argue the price is on the higher side.
@@whatsonthewrist Ok thanks for the answer. I really love the watch, the design is pretty unique, the pulsometer adds to its uiqueness. I was just making sure the price was not a rip off
Very cool looking piece, it really is a beauty. I love how its like a mini watch within a watch.
We’re on the same page. Thanks, Mr. Budget Watch.

Very nice decoration on it, I think it would look nice with a leather strap 👌
Yes a leather strap is an option. Thanks, chko. 🍻👌
Agree. And there is actually a leather strap version:

Yep, there sure is, Jesse. Maybe I’ll interchange between the bracelet and strap.
