Hurricane Dorian is right off the coast this moment and as close as it's going to get. The headlines claim this part of Florida is currently being "pummeled", "pounded", "slammed" and "lashed"... But it isn't. Why do the media do this?

scare media, it has been popular ever since TVs were invented. scaring people always gets the attention. and attention = money
