Yes!! I love Bud almost as much as I love Monroe! Honestly, the side characters and their relationships with/around Nick, are some of the best I've seen in TV!

Bud & his buddies are all Eisbiber (ice beavers) and yes they're quite adorable, community orientated Wesen... Re: Reapers, that's more a job title (ie bounty hunter) than species of Wesen, though they're typically stronger wesens like the Hässlich (Ugly) who were the baddies of this episode.
This is my favorite episode of thee first season. The Eisbibers are great. And I love the visual gags in this one. The beavers' lodge is in a dam. The trolls' club is called 'Trip Trap".

The Reapers are made up of several different kinds of Wessen. Reaper is more of a job title like assassin.
Remember how afraid of Marie Monroe was when he watched over her in the hospital early in the season? Yeah, Marie was definitely a badass.

YES, i couldn't remember the full premise of this episode but i couldn't wait for the whole 2 reapers thing! perfect reaction! also, i could've sworn they already explained this but maybe it's more absorbed information? i can't remember but reapers aren't their own species, it's more like a title or job you can get after killing a grimm, so you can become a reaper but not TURN INTO one, you know what i mean?

This was everything I needed! Been sick since this weekend, feeling much better, still tired, but watching this has me feeling amazing. This is one of my favorite episodes of season 1. Bud is awesome, the group, the Lodge, the entire culture of the Eisbiber Wesen along with how it ties into the trolls criminal community is awesome. The world building & creature culture of Grimm is still my favorite when it comes to genre shows, it's so well done. Thanks Dakara, I'm really glad you're loving it & that you're starting to see why so many of us kept recommending it. It gets even better as it goes on, as the characters & cultures develop. Bud and his Eisbieber community realized that Nick’s a detective first, Grimm second. They knew he can be trusted to help good Wesen in their time of need. To thank him for helping one of their own, they left him housewarming gifts (which to me is really awesome).

Bud is actually extremely brave. He is afraid of practicality everything but he doesn't let it stop him. Going on inspite of fear is the definition of bravery

16:34, yes, Nick has a better chemistry with Monroe than Juliet. And there is a community of Nick/Monroe since episode 1. The subtext is strong. Remove the context, the late night hours, secret rendezvous, secret meeting place, lying what they were doing, you would assume they are having an affair.
Love this show and your reactions, keep them coming. You realize of course that once you've caught up to the last episode posted there, you end up in the same position as everyone else, right? You are just waiting on a different episode than the rest of us -- no more real advantage. 'Viewing in advance' sounds like an incentive, but it really isn't to those of us with analytical tendencies. It's impossible for us to rationalize a subscription model with a limited payoff like catching up to a finite resource. But, I'm sure there are other reasons to join, like that great community you mentioned... I'm poor, so I think I'll just keep feeding the algorithm with likes and comments, and hope that'll be enough. ;-]

I watched this show consistently when it first aired on TV. With the earlier parts of this season I was fine waiting a week (or months) between episodes, but after this one those weeks felt so long, lol. Love your reactions and now I can't wait for them just like with the show!

Reapers are not a type of wesen, they are more an organization of wesen. As time goes on, there are a number of organizations you will find. Some are all 1 type of wesen while others have many types of wesen in them.

This was a good episode except for how the Reapers were handled. First the Reaper organization would not be happy to be contacted. Reapers are not supposed to give family members the contact information for the Reapers, but ignoring the request would look worse for them. At one time Reapers had to be highly skilled, but since they only go after dying GRIMMs now they are less skilled. Nick has weapons from the trailer in his vehicle because he wants to inspect them in better light. The Reapers get a good look at Nick when the troll Wesen is arrested and follow Nick and the witness he is protecting. The fight is good showing Nick as a highly skilled fighter and the dead Reapers can be explained as people sent after their witness to protect the corruption in the building/construction permitting department.
Eisbeibers, and they're awesome.
FYI, I Got a notification about this video from UA-cam which is like the first time since you had your problem with your Channel over a year ago.
